Appearance: Giradain is a tall, broad shouldered man who nearly reaches 6 feet.He has big arms and a flat belly, though his strong frame isn't the first thing you notice about him, it's his smile. Upon his strong jawed face lays a resting, wide, toothy smile that oozes confidence and happiness. Above his smile is a small nose and two sapphire blue eyes. His whole face itself is scattered with freckles to and fro. Above his eyes are two dirty blond eyebrows that seem to match his age perfectly, his short wavy hair seems to match it as well as it looks youthful and pretty to most. Most of the time he's wearing a white tunic with brown gloves, leather pants and tall, sturdy boots that raise to right below his knees.
Character Concept
The concept of Giradain is an idealistic, zealous and adventurous squire who will always fight for the good and just things in the world. He may not be the brightest of knights, but he's strong and perceptive enough to not die in the harsh kill or be killed world of Mizahar. His dream is to become a knight and hold enough power and influence to make a difference in the world instead of just being a pawn in a game of chess. He's one to accept blows to his honor rather then to strike up duels and defend it, understanding that such things only inspire more vile and evil, but none the less if provoked enough he will snap.
To boil down his pros and cons:
Pros: Giradain is brave, optimistic, idealistic, and zealous.
Cons: Giradain has black and white thinking, (I.E someone is evil or they are not), is judgmental, and holds a bias towards people who even look of criminal or corrupt nature.
Character History
Giradain's grew up an orphan boy in Syliras. He was adopted by a blacksmith, who abused him and constantly tormented him, the blacksmith only adopted him for his strong arms anyways. Constantly suffering due to his position, he looked up to the knights and government doing everything they could to make Syliras and the world around them a better place. Inspired by this he vowed to himself one day he would become a knight and make the world a better place. Through hard work and determination.
He spent most of his time training with sword masters and mercenaries, using what coin he had earned to train himself in studies, swordsmanship and riding, the three major factors for becoming a knight. When his father died, he inheretited the smithy by right, he sold it and spent everything he possibly could on knightly supplies, when he turns 18 years old, he joined the squire hood.
With the preparations he had took he advance through the squirehood pretty fast in the span of a year. Soon enough he was sent off to Sunberth, to take out the leader of a large crime gang, none in particular, but just to prove his worth.
With a smile, a sword, and zeal he made his way to Sunberth to prove himself to the order.
