The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Aim True

The Guild was quiet this morning, the incessant rains slowly but surely beating the will of Lhavit’s hunters to a depressing pulp. Many of them had resorted to relying on traps that were easily laid and retrieved, or to taking contracts from the citizens for more mundane things like pest eradication.

Zach slowly worked his way through breakfast, perched on a stool at the bar. A few others milled around, debating on whether or not to head out into the drizzle. The Drykas was all but prepared for a day outside, with sturdy leather boots on his feet and his shortbow resting against the bar. He cracked his knuckles and fished a few coins from his pocket to leave next to his now empty plate, retrieved the bow and headed for the door, slinging the weapon across his back.

The drizzle was fairly light, thankfully not the solid downpours everyone had become used to recently. Zach ducked his head and stepped out into the street, heading immediately for Zintia Peak and the Azure Market. Once there, he wound his way through the narrow passages, eyes scanning the shops that were opening their doors for the daytime trade.

Soon enough, he came across what he was looking for, and he reached out a hand to inspect a cloak that had caught his eye. It was a deep, rich brown and the outer surface had some sort of waterproof seal applied. The cloak was exactly what the hunter had been after, for the simple coat he was used to wearing lacked a hood, and he was growing tired of rainwater running down the back of his neck day after day.

After a couple of chimes of haggling, Zach paid for the cloak and wrapped it round his shoulders, adjusting his bow and arrows to sit comfortably with it. He pulled the hood over his head and made his way out into the rain once more, this time heading along a path that would take him out of the city and into the woods outside.

Zach checked his pockets as he went, making sure his knife, waterskin and other supplies were all on his person. He carried no snares today, as he was bored of catching rabbits. The Drykas was gradually improving his woodland hunting, and today he had given himself a single goal. Bring back a deer. He had been trying to learn the subtleties of tracking through the trees, and to pick up the tricks of being stealthy while he was at it. It was such a different world from the open, fast-paced grasslands he knew and loved, but he was slowly growing to appreciate it for different reasons.

He crossed over into what would be considered wilderness, the city at his back and the trees before him. Booted feet crunched along the stony track that led down to the woodland, and Zach fixed his gaze on the point where the path disappeared into the woods, readying himself for the hunt ahead.
