Appearance

Race: Human.
Gender: Female.
Age: 21.
Birthday: 44, Fall, 497 AV.
Birthplace: Zeltiva.

Appearance: Petite with blonde hair, fair skin, and dark eyes.

Character Concept

Bransys Riverdeep is a born entertainer, a bit unobtrusive and reserved personally but engaging and expressive when it comes to her craft. She comes from a long line of performers which includes her grandfather Zedd Riverdeep, a juggler of some renown in Zeltiva who delighted dockside workers and travelers alike. During the past few seasons, Bransys' mother and father have succumbed to a fever and left her alone to fend for herself. She is still in mourning for them both but is attempting to pick herself up and seek out new opportunities. She has always been a fair mimic and quite observant, so she hopes that with further training she may not only gain better proficiency as a performer—but also perhaps the notice of a mentor or protector with whom she could form a mutually beneficial relationship.

Character History

Her mother and father taught Bransys how to sing when she was young. They had a home in Zeltiva not far from the docks and a small courtyard where they kept a covered cart. Most days, Bransys went with her family's troupe out into Zeltiva to busk. Even at only four years old, she helped by passing the hat to patrons. She understands what captivates audiences and what to do when attention begins to wander.

At 10 years old, Bransys began to exhibit signs of proficiency and talent as a performer in her own right. Calvin and Iona, her father and mother respectively, cultivated and curated Bransys' skills, honing in her a love of story and a deep appreciation for music.

When they contracted a mysterious fever over the Winter of 518 AV, Bransys hardly knew what to do. Her family has many close friends who are performers—jugglers, musicians, stilt-walkers, etc. and everyone did their best to be a support. Bransys was even ill for a time with what seemed to be the same sickness... a wasting cough, chills, loss of appetite, and a terrible fever that caused confusion and despair. She survived with the care and concern of her community, but Calvin and Iona, sadly, did not.

Grieving desperately, Bransys, even at her young age, has seen to it that the family home and most of her belongings have been liquidated. She simply could not stand to live alone amid the vivid and happy memories of her childhood home. It was her parents' wish that she should continue her development as she grew older and perhaps even become the first Riverdeep to obtain a formal education, so she is in the process of applying for consideration at the University and hoping to make some connections there.

Let me shed some light on the situation

Welcome to Miz, Bransys; your CS is looking good, but there are a few things you need to fix before you continue.

*Your age: It's currently summer 519 AV, meaning fall 519 AV hasn't happened yet; as such, Bransys would be 21. Please adjust either your age or birthdate.

*Your skills: You cannot start with less than 5 SP in a skill; please reorganize your skill points appropriately. You're also missing your racial bonus (denoted as RB); as a human, this is +15 to any one skill of your choice (note you can only have a max of 30 XP in one skill to start). I would advise focusing your points on the skills you plan on immediately using, ie the ones pertaining to whatever job you might want. So if you're planning on being a musician, maybe focus on your instrument skill, and the others can be gained through writing.

Also, the total column is meant to measure the total number of points per skill, not how many skill points you have total, since that doesn't particularly matter.

*Your possessions: Please choose a cloak OR coat.

*Your heirloom: Unfortunately a lute is too expensive to have as an heirloom. Heirlooms must be worth 50 GM or a less, and a lute is worth 55 GM. Please pick another heirloom; if you want to own a lute to begin with, you will have to buy it with your starting money.

*Your housing: If you are planning to attend the University and stay there for housing, please confirm this with Zeltiva's DS, Neologism. Also keep in mind that University housing is not free; in Zeltiva's codex it is listed as 100 GM/season rent. The description of the housing would also follow what is described in the codex rather than the usual cottage.

Also keep in mind that if you are cashing in permanent housing in order to rent somewhere, you get an extra 500 GM in exchange for your housing.
