Jehu's Tent
Jehu has established his home in Syka south of Uta's Place and east of Caiyha's Arbor. It consists of a stretch of beach and reaches back into the jungle. While he has accepted five acres, he has not established fixed boundaries, aside from the stream that serves as the northern boundary of his claim. The stream serves as a supply of water and a starting point for following game trails.
A short walk from where the stream mingles with the shore, a sandy clearing above the beach's berm crest is held together with short, tough beach grass. The jungle borders the alcove-like space with palms. This is where Jehu has established his home. Jehu's home consists of a 36'x12' Chaktawe tent made of animal hide and goat fur brought from his tribe in the Burning Lands. It is held up by several poles and ropes deeply staked and reinforced by heavy rocks. The tent sides are typically left up to allow the sea breeze to pass through.
Inside, a wooden pallet floor is covered with rugs. Like many nomadic desert dwellings, sleeping and sitting take place on the floor with large pillows serving as furniture. a low table serves as a work and dining surface, while two low end tables each hold an oil lamp for light. A brazier adds additional light or the ability to cook small items inside the tent. The inside of the tent itself is decorated with a myrad of feathers and bones, the traditional adornments of a Chaktawe tent. Jehu's belongings are stored in a small chest. A fire pit sits outside the tent in the sand.
