A Sunday Afternoon Challenge (6/27)

(This is a thread from Mizahar's fantasy role playing forum. Why don't you register today? This message is not shown when you are logged in. Come roleplay with us, it's fun!)

IC News travels slowly in Mizahar. Fortunately there is a constant stream of news from around campfires, from caravan to caravan and from merchants to merchants. Within this forum lies the best of the best of this talk. Also, within this forum, OOC news from the staff and players can be found. This forum requires all posts to be 'approved' by a Founder before they are displayed. So if you post within, be patient. Your post did display - it simply will not show to everyone until approved as actual 'news'. Please keep all Introductions, Status Updates, and various other discussions in their appropriate forums and leave this area for game news!

Sunday Challenge!

It's time we had a new challenge. Today let's take time to write a bit on intimacy. You can do a location/situation/interaction of your choice... but it must include intimacy. That means, a scene between lovers, father and son, mother and daughter, two close-knit brothers.... you must demonstrate a relationship in the scene. This could even be between a child and their favorite pet.

You could incorporate a job thread in this challenge... or even learn a new skill. The sky is the limit! Just demonstrate intimacy between your character and another ... be it creature, NPC, or other PC. Word count is important... and you must complete at least one 2.5K thread. You have today, tonight, and all day tomorrow until 9pm PST to finish. As always, sign up and report your thread submission when done below. :)

Good luck! There will be nice prizes.

Hi guys!

I hope you enjoyed the challenge. I'm grateful that you participated. Please let me know what your final word count is. I'm awarding coin per count plus a little item just for fun.

I will post the for-fun item and coin awards just as soon as everyone has their word count posted.

A Sunday Afternoon Challenge (6/27)

Postby Moritz Craven on June 30th, 2021, 1:38 am

Finished with Moritz, his total word count was 2,671 (see in above post).

This was a tricky one for Moritz, and honestly ended up being a bit depressing of a read, but did get me to consider how Mortiz feels more deeply about the various people/things he left behind. It even made me realize a few things about him I'd not realized IC or OOC till I wrote it out.

Thanks for the challenge, always good to get a push to try something out of your norm writing topics,

Moritz Craven.

Final word count was 6,072!

...I'm a bit of an overachiever but I often find I can't get enough depth into threads without the extra words. As a new player and just starting to get to know Adoian, it was nice to explore this side of him and see how he interacts with people he's attracted to.

Thanks for the challenge, looking forward to the next one!

Sorry this is so late! Thanks for the reminder, Adoian!

Coin awards:

Moritz: 200 GM
Adoian: 600 GM

For Fun Item:

A firefly in a Jar: This is a small jelly jar that will easily fit in ones pocket. It doesn't need any maintenance - like food or water - and will remain alive indefinitely. However, if the owner of the jar is out somewhere lost, and releases the firefly from the jar... the firefly will lead them home day or night, flying slow enough for them to follow. To the owner, the firefly is clearly visible, to everyone else the jar looks empty. Only the owner can see the firefly and only the owner can follow the firefly. The firefly will only lead the owner to the place it considers its residence. Once released, the firefly will lead the owner home only ONCE and then will vanish once the owner is safe.
