Be Careful Where You Look (Karc)

Aello let out a satisfied laugh as a thin trickle of blood appeared on the man's chin. Surely there is more where that came from, Aello thought, as she took a half step closer to the man, doing her best to dodge his legs. "Stumbling already? And here we had the misguided notion that you may actually put up a bit of a fight, and present a challenge," Aello said with a sneer, her voice icy, losing most of its playful edge.

"It seems like those wolf pups are far more dangerous than you, and that filthy bird, which could so easily be shot out of the sky," Aello continued. "Don't you think it'd be nice, if we plucked out each of its feathers, one by one, and used them to fletch a new set of arrows. The same thing that would have brought him into your enemy's hands in the first place?" Aello inquired. "Of course, it will be the bloodied blade that finishes him off; slowly. Much like it will be with you."

"After all, you've both earned the right to torture. A slow painful death by the silver of a freshly sharpened blade," Aello went on, her voice more than likely reminding the Drykas of a serpent, it seemed so cold. You should just reach for him, start making incisions, begin your little game. You've taunted him enough, haven't you? "Not nearly enough," Aello whispered, as she did her best to step around Karc's legs, and bring herself a little closer to his head.

Perhaps it will be easier if you kneel, and thrust the blade into the space between his eyes. "But we want to draw this out," Aello whispered. "A blade there would do no such thing. True, but every moment he lingers, the more he sees. You should end it now, before he finds a way to escape, and tell others what he has seen.

Aello's heart was pounding in her tiny rib cage, and her palms were beginning to sweat. "Perhaps we should end this swiftly," she whispered so quietly, that she could barely hear. As soon as the words had left her lips, she extended her left hand. She was aiming for a clump of Karc's hair. If she could hold it, she could control his head. Tilt it back, exposing the neck, his fear-filled, bulging bright green veins. So easy to slide a blade across. "To end a life," Aello whispered.

Be Careful Where You Look (Karc)

Postby Karc on May 5th, 2011, 5:19 am

Karc rolled away as the women attempted the grab at his hair, rising to a crouch, a cold look on his face. Aero screeched and wheeled above the clearing waiting for an opening.

Karc's eyes darted over the whole scene, his best bet would be to run, but it will also mean he would need to live with a knife under his pillow, and would also lose the pups. He probably couldn't kill her but if he disabled her or knock her out, he could get away with the pups and his life. He didn't know exactly what her abilities were but it was better safe then sorry, so he needed to cripple her abilities one-by-one.

He whistled and swung his leg towards the women's side, Aero screeched and dived towards the womens back. If Aero would attempt to latch his claws onto her back. If she attempted to counter either of them, the other one will hit her.

Be Careful Where You Look (Karc)

Postby Aello on May 5th, 2011, 4:27 pm

When Aello's left hand curled around air, she growled. You will have him in your grasp soon enough, her mind whispered, along with that petching bird. Her teeth were clenched and her lips slightly parted, she looked just about as wild, if not more so, than the two wolf pups which were still circling their feet, yapping and nipping at their heels from time to time.

"Oh shut up you!" Aello hissed at the animals, as she stared at the man, just as his leg shot out at her again and a soft whistling left his lips. Whistling? He's calling the petching bird! Aello thought, as her eyes grew wide. You should have shot the bloody thing when you had the chance, she thought, as Yune started chirping madly in her ear, and flapping her wings. Aello could feel the small wind they produced, as she ducked down, dodging the bird, but not moving fast enough, or close enough to the ground to avoid Karc's leg. Within seconds, she could feel a soft sting on her shoulder, where the leg had clipped her.

Petch! Aello thought, before biting her bottom lip and wincing for a mere instant. Do not let the pain get to you. You must kill him and the bird before you let yourself stop. Before you stitch yourself up. As soon as the leg had finished ramming into her side, she reached for it with her left hand. If she managed to grip it, she would force it into the ground, and then stab the center of his boot with her blade. After all, the petching idiot could not fight her if he could not walk. Well, he could, but he would have a very difficult time.

Do not miss. Do not drag this out...

Of course, if Aello missed, which seemed unlikely to her, she would wait for Karc to put his foot back down, and then, she would stab the center of his leg. After she was done with that and the man was busy clutching his bleeding appendage, she'd simply continue what she had started, and put an end to him.

OOCSorry for the awkward wording.

Be Careful Where You Look (Karc)

As the women ducked, Aero almost flew straight into Karc's face, blurring his vision. So he did not see and only slightly felt her grip his leg and force it to the ground, stabbing through he calf with the dagger. He knew that he was hurt, he could feel the pain, but the adrenalin of the moment rushed it away. The pain did not affect him now, but as soon as the fight was over he would feel the rush of pain.

Aero had wheeled away diving again, straight for the womens face his claws outstretched. Karc growled his other foot shooting out towards the other womens chest.

Be Careful Where You Look (Karc)

Postby Aello on May 6th, 2011, 3:55 pm

More than likely having decided that the quarreling humans and their birds were too dangerous to be around, the wolf pups slunk away towards a row of trees. However, when they heard the yelps of their companions which had been captured by Karc, they padded over to the large bag, and began nipping ferociously at the fabric. They seemed to be doing their best to make it fray. Growling when the material did not come loose as quickly as they had hoped.

Aello ignored the sounds the young creatures made, however, being that she was stuck in the middle of a heated battled. Her left hand had fallen from Karc's leg as soon as the cursed blade had made contact with his flesh. Aello's left hand rested on the ground, it felt sweaty and warm, and as the occasional drop of crimson red blood rained down upon it, the feelings only intensified. Blood and sweat, a metallic smell that made the blood that coursed through Aello's veins push against their boundaries all the more intensely. Her body seemed to be pulsing as quickly as her heart beat in her tiny rib cage.

Slowly, Aello extracted the bloody blade from Karc's flesh; doing her best to draw out the pain she must have inflicted. Doing her best to flick tiny droplets of blood onto her pale skin. Perfect, Aello thought as she narrowed her eyes, just do it again, and watch as he falls.

Perhaps her plan would of worked, had Aello moved a little faster. For as soon as she extended her right hand once more to strike Karc, his leg reached the space in-between her neck and her right shoulder. A sharp, shooting pain shot through the girl's body, as she scrunched her eyes shut for a second, before opening them again, just in time to watch Aero dive for her, but miss. He kicked you out of the way, Aello thought, as Yune chirped madly, and dug her tiny talons into the girl's shoulder.

It's too difficult to kill him while he has that bloody thing around, Aello thought. Even though the man is bleeding and can't put up much more of a fight, the bird must die for inconveniencing us, she added, as she began to press her feet into the ground, as well as her hands, and push herself away. Hopefully, Karc wouldn't have the strength to chase her as she crawled over to her things. If she managed to reach them, she'd pick up her bow, and shoot the bloody bird out of the sky. If it tried to dive for her again, she'd duck, and wait until the time was right to kill it.

OOCSo, she is basically crab-walking away from you. I left it open if you want to try stumbling after her. Um... if she reaches her bow after your post... so my next post... she'll shoot. But don't worry, I won't actually kill your bird. I am sure as heck gonna try though! Or rather, Aello is.

Petch. The pain was overwhelming. This women was crazy, and she seemed to be more skilled than him.

He quickly got up gritting his teeth from the pain, he limped towards the bag. It was only around four feet away, but it felt like miles. He glanced at the bag, seeing the pups he snatched the bag away from them, thankfully they had only made a small hole he reached down picked up the larger of the pups, which growled and whined, which he in turn ignored and shouldered the bag and started his daring escape; he hobbled towards the trees, only faintly aware of Aero.

Aero had in-fact had decided to aid in his masters escape, diving towards the women. She ducked, but it served the purposed to slow her.

He would continue to dive again and again, until ether his master was far enough away or the women reached her bow, which ever came first.

Be Careful Where You Look (Karc)

As soon as Aello had reached her things, she quickly plucked the bone nails out of the ground, and placed them in her bag. She then strung her bag over her shoulder, and picked up her bow. She held it tightly in her left hand, as she slowly but steadily rose to her feet. As Aero dove for her again, the girl ducked out of the way, before extending her right hand over her shoulder to pluck an arrow out of her quiver as soon as she was clear. As soon as Aello brought the arrow forward, she realized it was one fletched by the feathers of a raven. She took a few steps forward, heading closer to where Karc was heading, as she laced the arrow onto the bow. When she heard a click, Aello knew that the arrow had taken, and she was ready to begin her attack once more.

The first one to go will be the petching bird. The human won't get far with his leg bleeding all over the place. Not to mention, if he does, he'll collapse from blood loss, and you could easily follow the crimson droplets that drag on across the earth. Aello smiled evilly as Aero dove at her again, and she ducked out of the way. As the bird rose into the sky once more, she lifted her bow to follow its movements. The three middle fingers of her right hand had wound themselves around the arrow's nock, the middle and index fingers were on the top of the arrow, the ring finger was below. Slowly, she pulled the bowstring back. The string dug into the girl's pale flesh, causing it to sting, and turn red around the edges, as she closed her left eye, and took a few steps forward, closer to where Karc was retreating, just as the bird dove, and missed her back by about an inch.

As soon as Aello couldn't feel the soft breeze the creature brought with it each time it moved for her, she spun around, her bow already raised high enough for her to begin shooting. Aello sighted down the arrow, and realized that she was aiming a few inches too far to the left. She would need to move the bow a few inches to the right in order to stand a chance at hitting Aero. Aello quickly made the adjustments, just as the bird rounded, and began to make its next attack. Shoot it now! The girl told herself, as she quickly inched the bowstring past her right ear, and then let go. The loss of the arrow sent the bowstring into a series of rapid vibrations. A soft humming could be heard as the string whacked Aello's left arm, and she plucked another arrow from her quiver.

Aello's first arrow had reached its target, but the girl didn't bother watching to see how it affected the bird. Instead, she had begun walking into the line of trees Karc had disappeared into. She was following the thin trail of blood, and the sounds of the wolf pups he had captured. The Drykas is next, Aello thought as she laced another raven feather fletched arrow onto her bow string. Click. She kept her bow pointed down, towards the ground for now, until she was ready to shoot once more. It shouldn't be long, as we said before, it is unlikely he will get far on that leg. Add in the fact that he is carrying his pack, and at least thirty pounds more with the squirming wolf pups, and we should have no trouble catching up.

OOCKarc- I left the effects of my arrow on your bird open for you to figure out. I can't technically kill Aero without your permission, nor can I truly injure him unless you let me do so. However, that being said, my pc is an expert level archer, it is unlikely she missed. I am not saying the bird has to die, but I am saying that she more than likely broke off a few feathers. (Say the primaries or secondaries).

Mod Note: Aello will go retrieve her arrow when she is finished with Karc.

Be Careful Where You Look (Karc)

Aero caught the the arrow, underneath his right shoulder, piercing all the way through. Aero let out a screech, and started to flap furiously trying to regain his composure. His attempts at landing gracefully failed, and he fell to earth landing with a crunch, probably breaking a few bones.

As soon as Karc had gotten far enough away he had ripped a piece of cloth of his cloak. Crudely wrapping it around the wound in a hope to staunch the flow, also stuffing the other pup into the sack.

He now lumbered and hobbled as fast as he could, but as he did he heard a soft twang followed by a screech and a crunch. His mind whirled, but all he could think was She shot Aero...She shot Aero... . his immediate thought was to return to the clearing and help Aero, but he couldn't defeat that, that...female demon. He gritted his teeth in anger. He would never forgive that women.

How could he escape now? She was only lightly wounded, he was badly wounded and he had the pups. He came up with a plan very quickly.

He stashed the pups, into a bush. They protested with all sets of snarls, whines, and growls. He glanced around, and saw some mud, twigs and a bush. He got down slowly, and rolled in the mud and twigs covering himself. He then hobbled over to the bush and sat within it hoping she didn't see him.

His hopes where that she would go for the pups and he could ambush her.

Be Careful Where You Look (Karc)

Postby Aello on May 9th, 2011, 12:47 am

Aello heard something crash to the ground behind her. The bird must have fallen already, her mind whispered. Just like its master will. As she stepped through the trees, Aello raised her feet high, before planting them back down on the ground. She was doing her best to remain as quiet as possible, as she allowed her eyes to dart back and forth over the blood-stained forest floor. The blood will lead you right too him, she thought, as her heart began to pick up the pace again.

After a few minutes of walking, Aello came to a halt. The blood came to an end before a pile of bushes. He can't have gone far from here, Aello thought, as several low, guttural, growling type sounds reached her ears. They sounded like they were coming from a nearby bush. Well he obviously stashed the wolf pups over there. So he definitely has not gone far, the mind whispered, as Aello took a moment to breath in through the nose, and out through the mouth. Within seconds, several auras came into view. The first was that of the wolf pups, whose auras were one blob of muddied red mist. They are all angry. They do not want to be in that bag. They all want to be free. Aello studied the auras for a moment, before turning her gaze into another bush. There lingered another aura, that of a man. The Drykas. The aura was a deep red mist, like the reddest of wines. He is relying on his survival instants, the girl thought, as she watched the aura pulse as quickly as his heart must be pounding at the moment, waiting for Aello to make her move. He may also be afraid of you.

Aello smiled wickedly. Who would not be afraid of her right now? Aello wondered, as she lifted her bow. She pulled the bowstring back, and aimed the arrow directly at Karc's head. She allowed herself to blink once, breaking her concentration, and causing the aura to fade away. Her pupils had dilated, and the edges of her eyes, the areas around the irises seemed a little red. "Did you honestly think you could hide?" Aello asked, as she held her aim.

Aello was standing maybe fifteen feet from where Karc stood, hardly breathing. You are so close... just draw it out. Draw out his pain, his suffering, his fear. Then end it all, so slowly. As painfully as you can. There was a slight pause. Cut out his heart and feed it to the wolves he wished he could be the master of. Another slight pause, better yet, feed it to his filthy bird before you cut its heart out, and then feed IT to the wolves.

"Did you really think you could escape after what the dagger did to you?" Aello asked, her voice cold. "Did you think you could escape the hands of the almighty Dira? Did you think that the one who loves her would let you live?" There was a slight pause. "You know, Drykas, that you should not have come this way. That you should not allowed yourself to see." Her voice was cold, hungry for the kill. The wolf pups were howling, and nipping at the confines of the bag.

"You have been punished for watching," Aello continued. "If your leg is not treated, you will die. Or at least, pass out from loss of blood." That is only common sense. There was a slight pause. "That, Drykas, should be punishment enough, don't you think?" Aello asked. "Don't you agree that you should have the chance to escape with your life, for a price?" Aello gave the man a moment to consider her words. "There will be no negotiating. You do as you are told Drykas, or you will receive several more wounds, understood?" She paused again for effect before finishing with, "the pups don't want to be in that sack. They know they are suited for a far stronger master than the likes of you. You give three of the pups to me, to do with what I will, and you keep the rest. If you can... You will make no move to stop me from taking them from you. As soon as you cannot hear us anymore, you may move. Try to rescue your bird, and your pitiful life. Is that clear?"

OOCSo yeah, my pc is both psycho, and ridiculously mean. At least, if you take the deal, you don't get hurt anymore. And you get a wolf pup. Which is better than none. >.<

Be Careful Where You Look (Karc)

Postby Karc on May 9th, 2011, 2:28 am

Karc held his breath his heart hammering as the women came into view, but before he could strike the women spoke. He tensed up thinking How in the hell? He got up slowly showing his hands. His face was cold as the women spoke.

"Alright. Though I still do not know what warranted you attacking me and shooting my bird." His face was cold, his glare icy his past joking and friendly demeanor gone. "All I did was try and get the pups, I was willing for you to keep the secrets, I didn't even know what you where doing. and as to the facts wanting a stronger master, well they probably do, but I am learning and will continue to learn."

He stood completely still his hand held up in surrender. "You are stronger than me far and square. So to the victor goes the spoils; take three pups."
