Just like most the time these days you could have found jokor in one of the training rooms when he had finished his job for the day, what was unlike of most day's though was the fact that he was sitting in one of the quieter corners instead of bashing up one of the training dummies or beating, and getting beaten on by, one of the squires that made a crack at his height.

Having decided to practice his auristic vision instead of trying to train with his dagger or working of his anger on one of the more stupid squires in the sparring ring. Slowly channeling djed into his eyes the aura's slowly became visible concentrating on a new aura that entered the training room enlarging his focus to get a better look at the newcomer. Jokor couldn't help but to grin, nobody would really know he was staring at somebody now, it just looked as if he was doing one of those fancy meditation techniques that hadrian guy told him about.

A finely honed point III (Jaelyn)

Postby Jaelyn Baroth on May 21st, 2011, 6:24 pm

Jaelyn was glad for the helmet that concealed her face as she walked into the training ground. As conflicted and confused as she had been feeling lately she was sure that anyone seeing her face would know something was wrong. Even with drawing inspiration from Tyveth she still did not know what exactly to do, and lately it seemed every day only brought more confusion no matter what she did.

Hoping to find some calm in some focused training she had come fully armored and armed with shield, sword, and spear. Looking around the room for an open training dummy her eyes fell upon the familiar form of Jokor. While he wasn't exactly the person she most wanted to see at the moment he was at least less problematic than Markus or Dimitri. It was odd how he was just sitting there with his eyes closed, but maybe he was meditating? That would be a great sign of improvement.

A bit curious now Jaelyn made her way across the training room and towards Jokor. Not wanting to interrupt him she stopped a little ways away, waiting to see if he would notice and respond to her clanking approach.

A finely honed point III (Jaelyn)

Postby Jokor on May 21st, 2011, 8:55 pm

Jokor arched an eyebrow at what he saw,On a first glance the person's aura was completely normal, but as soon as he focused a little bit more he saw a mess of swirling.... colors ,or something very similar to it though still miles apart, right underneath clashing against each other as if somebody was trying to blend with each other but their own nature didn't allow that, or maybe even exactly the opposite, the colors wanted to get together but weren't allowed. Jokor gritted his teeth once again at the annoying nature of the aura's, they were damned hard to interprent, its was something akin to seeing sound or something weird like that.

Slowly expending a bit more djed to get a better focus on the aura, trying to figure out what the heck made the aura that way. He hadn't seen any aura exactly like that, but then again, the times he actually gave an aura more then a glance was fairly rare, so maybe this wasn't such a rare event.

When he saw the aura moving closer towards him he pulled back his djed and unfocused his vision, did the person figure out someway that he was peaking at other people's aura's? He opened his eyes and stood up, looking at the person who was coming closer towards him. Widening his eyes in surprise when he saw Jaelyn coming to a stop a few feet away from him.

"Hey Jaelyn," Jokor said cautiously, he already had peeked at jaelyn's aura before and he was certain that nothing was like that then. Was something wrong with her or something?

A finely honed point III (Jaelyn)

Postby Jaelyn Baroth on May 22nd, 2011, 2:10 pm

Jaelyn was little surprised when Jokor not only opened his eyes and stood up, but then also recognized her. It seemed he was more observant than she had though. Lifting up the visor on her helmet she gave him a soft smile, "Hello Jokor. I hope I did not interrupt your meditation?" her voice contained warmth and friendliness.

She had never really tried meditation herself, but she had heard that it was a good way to focus your mind. If Jokor was taking up such training here then it could only mean good things.

"Would you like to spar against each other again? I came here to do some training, but if you would rather go back to your meditation then I would not want to keep you," someone to spar against was always better in her opinion, but she certainly didn't want to disrupt Jokor's efforts to better himself.

A finely honed point III (Jaelyn)

Postby Jokor on May 22nd, 2011, 11:16 pm

Jokor gave a rather surprised blink at jaelyn's words, “Meditating?” He blurted out before quickly shaking his head.
“Nah ya didn't interrupt anything really, coulda heard ya coming from a mile away with all the clanking from within that steel can you are wearing.” Jokor quickly followed up his small slip with the first thing that came to his mind, he hoped that that little lie wen't unnoticed most people wouldn't really believe that he could hear somebody walking towards him in the cacophony of noise in the training room, but then again Jaelyn was on the gullible side.

When she offered to spar jokor gave a quick nod trying to get her attention of that little slip he made even if she was gullible, he wanted to keep the fact that he knew magic under tight wraps as long as he could, what use was having a dagger up your sleeve if everybody knew about it?
“Sure, I was finished with that for today anyway and getting some energy lose with trying to beat the tar outa ya is a good idea.” He gave her a blank stare as he walked past her towards one free sparring area's. “Just make sure ya don't bruise me to much so that I can't work tomorrow like the last time we faught, not everybody gets free food and board like you squires ya know.”

A finely honed point III (Jaelyn)

Postby Jaelyn Baroth on May 23rd, 2011, 6:13 pm

Jokor's reaction was a little off, causing Jaelyn to frown softly, but she honestly couldn't think of anything unpleasant he could have been doing just sitting there. Maybe he had been meditating, and accidentally fallen asleep? She could definitely imagine that happening to the rather unruly boy.

Turning and following after Jokor she gave a small shake of her head at his comment, "Jokor, if you are that concerned about bruising then maybe you should not try to learn so much about fighting. There are times when sparring you are lucky to get away with just a bruise, and we did not even spar that much last time."

Taking up position opposite of Jokor on the sparring area Jaelyn readied her shield and spear, her grip high on the spear with her forearm wrapped around it so she could more easily use it one handed, and she flicked her visor closed again as she off-handedly offered, "Or you could join the Knighthood, and get more training than you could want and not worry about food or room."

Jaelyn's last comment held no real conviction to it. While she certainly thought that entering the Knighthood would be very worthwhile to Jokor she doubted he would consider it. With all the unpleasant words he had had for the Knights she expected him to just laugh it off.

Jokor just shook his head as he ignored that concern.
“I ain't the guy that cares about the bruising, got a lot worse then what you ever gave me since I was a little tyke afterall. Just that the people at work thought somebody had mugged me and tried to call in the knights.” jokor grumbled in an annoyed tone “Didn't believe me at first that it was from sparring to.” Jokor pulled out one of his daggers as Jaelyn took a good grip on her spear, trying to find any weaknesses that he could exploit in her defence, which wasn't that easy with that spear giving her a long reach and that shield being in the way. Not even going to mention the plate armor she was wearing.

When jaelyn mentioned that he should join the order then and never worry again about food or a place to sleep, jokor stopped for a few moment as he visibly mulled over that thought before discarding it with a scowl on his face, he highly doubted if that you could join the knights if you weren't born in the city of syliras, especially if they came from sunberth.
“Right, as if they would let people join the order just like that.” Jokor spat out as he held up his dagger and channeled djed into his eyes and focused on her aura, hoping that knowing at least a bit what she was thinking would give him an much needed edge.

A finely honed point III (Jaelyn)

Postby Jaelyn Baroth on May 24th, 2011, 1:09 pm

Jaelyn paused, a bit confused, as Jokor didn't outright reject her comment. Maybe she was finally starting to get through to him? That thought brought a smile to her lips, and she called out, "You are right, you cannot just become a Squire by saying you want to be on."

Charging towards Jokor she kept her shield up, ready to block his dagger and keep his fists away from her, and as she got closer to him she brought her spear whistling around in a short arc aimed at catching Jokor in the side with the shaft of the weapon.

"But for someone like you," she took a step back, shield up and between her and Jokor as she spoke loud enough to be clearly heard, "You would not have to go through the many years of being a Page first. You would have to prove your worth, and find a Knight who would take you on as your Patron. They would be the one to train and teach you, and prepare you for becoming a full Knight."

Not that she knew Jokor might be open for the idea Jaelyn wanted to push him to join the Knighthood. With the right Patron teaching him he would be able to grow into a fine man, and away from the dirty and rough boy he was now. If nothing else this thought was providing a nice distraction and focus from her other problems.

A finely honed point III (Jaelyn)

Postby Jokor on May 24th, 2011, 7:13 pm

Jokor just shoved his dagger in between his teeth as he noticed her swinging the spear in a short arc, aiming to catch him into his side, he had a vague plan in mind to get her reach advantage away from her, but he didn't like what he had to do for it though, still he didn't know any other way. Taking a deep breath he jerked up his left arm and tensed for the blow. As soon as the shaft rammed into his side he clenched the spear against his body using his left arm, biting on his dagger trying to ignore the pain,as he grabbed the spear with his free right hand gasping for breath around his dagger.

Only listening with half an ear to Jaelyn's speech as he strengthened his grip on the spear and he planted his feet and tried to twiste the spear out of her hand, if he just mangaged to get rid of her weapon then her shield wouldn't be much of a problem anymore, he just had to slip around her and find a weakness in that plate armor she was wearing.

ooc: hope that was possible :)

A finely honed point III (Jaelyn)

Postby Jaelyn Baroth on May 25th, 2011, 2:32 pm

Jaelyn felt the solid impact of her spear hitting its target, but when she tried to swing it back out for another strike she found it wouldn't move. In fact it was being pulled in an attempt to get it away from her. Her arm wrapped around the spear kept her from losing her grip on it, but didn't give her enough leverage to yank her weapon free.

Smiling softly to herself at Jokor's cleverness Jaelyn took a half a step forward and then shoved her shield forward along the shaft of her spear. As she did she tensed her grip on her spear's shaft to try and keep a hold of it if she managed to strike Jokor with her shield and knock him away.

"Very clever!" she called out, her voice containing a hint of pride, "A good way to deal with my weapon Jokor."
