I wish she would give him an answer soon, Darren thought as the strong light at the end of the tunnel caused him to squint. The day was coming to it's peak hour as the sun above them, nearly blinding him as they took stepped out of the hallway. It was hitting him from two different directions. The usual angle from above and the light being reflected from the ground. Admittedly it was what gave him a very mystic and spiritual hue around his eyes but what was also causing him to grimace as he was asking Vala a very important question. He was crestfallen when Vala didn't give her an answer, was he doing something wrong? He would have liked someone to show him around the city bit before the others got from the boat but it seems that he was very mistaken. But still there was something telling him to keep going forward, possibly figure out what went wrong. That added with the resilience Vala seemed to show with dealing with him, it wasn't everyday you would meet someone who wouldn't react the least bit maliciously towards him. I just have to be patent he noted ...and possibly a bit cautious as he watched Vala opened the heavy doors to the Valintar. Stepping in to see the dazzling display of the prime piece of art Wind Reach had to offer Darren took a few steps back to the shining glasswork that the Inarta called the Valintar. An infectiously loveable giggle brought him back to reality as he turned to see Vala enveloped by the reflection of the Valintar. He gaped slightly when he saw the glee she was in, at that moment the earlier, pleasant faces she has shown him paled in comparison. This was his favorite face out of them all. “It all is” he replied back simply. He wished he knew the words to explain to her what he wanted to say. But he had not have the time to regret or be angry in his ineptitude, now was the time to have a private moment. Storing Vala's visage in that moment he kept staring for an uncomfortable amount of time as he locked her guileless face in a safe place. In some ways she was like a Vantha Darren noted as he quickly recalled how she acted that day. Only difference is that he didn't have the advantage of seeing her eyes show her emotions. What color were mine at this moment? he wondered as he realized that he may be advertising something very inappropriate or something Vala wouldn't be prepared for. Swallowing hard trying to keep his composure, he nearly lost himself when he watched Vala come towards him. Darren fought every urge in his body to create space, it was not too long ago when he had such a confusing encounter in the Temple of Nikali. When they took the initiative his flow was completely disrupted, the Inarta he noted was crippling him at every opportune moment. But it didn't matter, she said yes. More then that she said it again, with an exclamation point in her words. This was truly surprising to Darren as he nearly stumbled backwards as he stood as tense as a brick. Am I hearing this right? He wondered as he saw the blushing angel before him. He had the desire to lean forward, to do what came most natural to him until again Vala disrupted his flow as she turned away. Shaking his head once again humbled he mentally laughed as he took on a serene behavior. “Good...” he whispered as he chased his new exciting companion. oocPretty fun to post to I admit. |
