Headquarters to Izurdin's Hammer and the entry point into and out of Sultros City, Sultros Citadel is the farthest most outsiders will ever travel into the Isurian Kingdom. Heavily fortified and intimidating to view, the Citadel is the mirror of Isur strength, endurance and patience.

The Courtyard

Image

The courtyard of Sultros Citadel is large, open area; the floor of which is covered in hundreds of large, marble slabs fitted together with iron seams forming a geometric pattern. At the center of the pattern there is carved the history of the construction of the Citadel and the names of those who took part in its creation. Surrounding the courtyard are rooms, chambers, alcoves and hallways all built into the massive, couple-dozen-plus foot thick walls. Pillars and arches support overhangs and small balconies. Foreboding battlements loom overhead while guards patrol them. Isur, many dressed in the trappings of Izurdin's Hammer, make their way throughout the courtyard.

A structure built for defense, Sultros Citadel also serves as a center of trade for those brave enough and strong enough to endure the unforgiving environment of Kalea in order to reach it. A scattering of tents, tables, crates and wagons often fill the courtyard and merchants of many races from throughout Kalea and sometimes beyond, ply their wares in the Courtyard. Caravans baring supplies and raw materials for the outsider merchants can often be seen entering and exiting the Citadel.

For those wishing to partake in the various goods and services offered by the outsiders setting up shop in the Courtyard, the following merchants may be found:

Operating out of a rather large wagon, Tondee seems to always have what one wants/needs.

Name: Vinova
Race/Gender: Vantha/Female
Skills of Note: Fortune-telling 65, Storytelling 55, Rhetoric 32
Description: An older woman with refined beauty and a hardiness that defies her age, Vinova's reason for being in Sultros is a mystery to all but herself. Of all of the resident outsiders, she is the most respected by the isur for her endurance, wisdom and natural skill at telling stories and reading fortunes. Her shop is more of a large pavilion tent comfortably furnished with soft fur rugs, plush body pillows and is filled with sweet smelling incense. Lit by a small fire in a central pit; smoke drifting from a hole in the tent ceiling, Vinova's tent is almost always filled with at least a few isur laying back and enjoying her stories.

Services:

Vinova asks for a small donation of 5 sm from anyone who enters her tent seeking their fortunes told or to just listen to her stories for however long. As she is welcomed in most isurian establishments for free, she has little need of great wealth.

Surrounding the Courtyard, a number of other places, some friendly to outsiders, others restricted to all but the isur, offer a variety of goods and services.
