We're paying a reimancer to really ROUGHLY extract the rooms from the cliff along with a tunnel. This is a start to the fortress we want to eventually have. Gillar recommended buying the rooms off the Price List because it includes all the furniture and fixtures. But according to the price list if you want really poor quality (which I do) then you can discount 50%. The reasoning behind this is I'm going to have the RF Reimancer that does the Geomancy for the city do the work and just ROUGH out the rooms only. Kavala, as practice for her new Earth Reimancy is going to finish the work herself slowly over time and in the thread itself changing the floors to various substances and the walls to mosaic stonework for artistic xp and just nice beautiful walls. So in taking the 'poor workmanship' option discount that means you have just an awful ugly cave structure with some vent shafts for hearth and the ramp from the sea cave to the cliff face. This is zero finishing work included. Hanging doors are included in the furniture prices. I went elaborate cost wise for furniture and fixture quality. Common area is basic because it's for the expansion of the sand-floored sea cave which is just a storm shelter for the livestock of Sanctuary during adverse weather. Gillar recommended a 'tavern' package for the hearth and tables/chairs bar set up rather than a dining hall because Sanctuary will be more cozy and less castleish with a social environment like a 'tavern' style commons rather than a big empty hall. More rooms will be added later and this is the only time such a discount (with a package ST approved) can be applied. Master Bedroom is Kavala's Suite. The 'bedroom elaborate' actually via description buys her two guest bedroom type situations that share a privy. Tavern and MB also have privy attached.

Hi Guys-

The Northwest is getting DUMPED on snow wise so I'm not actually having a lot of time to post. I'll reply as soon as I can but its been crazy and nerve wracking and I can't sit down to concentrate without saying insane things to people like...

*listening to the weather channel and hearing them forecast 14 more inches for tomorrow*

*turning to husband*

"Maybe tomorrow won't come...!"

*husband blinks, starts laughing, and then says "I used to love the snow.. but watching you and every last crazy pacific northwesterner freak out about the snow just makes me hate it. Do you realize what you just said? Everyone in this part of the country goes absolutely insane when it even just spits snow." he says still laughing*

"I _MEANT_ maybe all this snow won't manifest.... what in the world are you... oh... I see... "

And Leto wrote this heart wrenching post I'm just dying to respond too but I can't do it justice in this mind frame. I feel like I just ate a whole bag of sugar straight from the store.

We need some winter projects. I have a solo thread to open up Sanctuary below ground in the cliff. I'll probably be moving most of the operation into that area and leaving the stalls and clinic above ground for a boarding stable situation. The mews and Kennels will remain the same as well.

I want, by Spring, the below ground Sanctuary to be something of a fortress.

What are all your plans for the season, folks?

Well I would like the following to happen in no apparent order, no time set on most of them. However all these threads will happen after the 40th.

1. Rescue Lilly from a slaver caravan
2. Bond some with Lilly
3. Go shopping for Lilly get her some winter clothing
4. Learn about plants around Riverfall
5. Teach some philtering
6. Get some hand to hand combat (anyone wanna spar)
7. Write up a few books on medicine and stuff
8. Prove his worth to Kavala and the rest of the Sanctuary staff
9. Get to know Kavala
10. Read through The Sanctuaries extensive library

So far this is it.

1. Establish a firm place as Kennel Master.
2. Get to know Raiha.
3. Learn more unarmed combat.
4. Learn more veterinary skills/general healing.
5. Develop and maintain a good hunting dog and cat breeder reputation.
6. Gain skill in horsemanship.
7. Find knowledge of birds/bird handling.
8. Do more hunting to discover their styles.

1. Snowball fight. Somewhere middling winter. Raiha and Kani are going to talk to Shay and Tasi about war and use Sanctuary as a lesson.
2. Get to know Kanrath and Uruk. This could be Interesting. Ahem.
3. Unarmed combat.
4. Herbalism.
5. Teach Rath about birds, if he wants to learn.
6. Reimancy/shielding.

And does anyone else have any more winter medicine ideas? We have time to do a few more threads before season change for sure. I also want to post my solo and get that credited so Kav's underground is well and started. We've got some building projects (major!) in the near future that are going to make all other building projects look a little like lincoln logs or legos. So if you guys want to help with that, do solo threads, group threads, etc I'll soon have ...

"The Sanctuary Plans" thread posted here. Also if anyone has any Reimancer Earth power... come join me island making. It's going to take a heck of a long time, but Kav wants to create an island (the above one.. Reverie Isle). That's open to everyone citywide I think because its a public place not dependent upon the folks being secretive.
