The Blue Grotto

A ledge jutting from a steep rock face is the only entry into this part of the cavern, securing it from non-Symenestra. Outsiders are not welcome here unless one is in a evil mood and maroons them there, but even those outsiders are vexing to Symenestran visitors.

There is little to no light, yet to a Symenestra it is lucid as day. The details are clear to them: ridges of rock, deep incandescent pools of blue water and the marbled hues of the stone. The blue is so pale, one can see the very bottom, its sandy texture and rocky terrain frozen in time.

Stalactites droop from the roof of the cavern, slowly dripping water into the pools beneath. Some stalactites are white, some black, and others varying colors of between the two. The room softly holds the sounds and echos of each drop.

Stalagmites jut from the floor, some forever beneath the water. Their muted colors mirroring the stalactites' tones.

The grotto is a place of peace, a place of solitude, where the warm lapping water eases the weary body and shushes the rapid mind.

[Miyana]

Miyana was sat on the edge of an overhang peering down into the waters below, every now and then she would flick a stone into the water and watch the ripples on the surface. whenever she returned to the city she always liked to visit here, it was the first place that she had found people when she was a child, they were so kind, they were the ones who had taught her how to speak since she had never known another living person since she was abandoned as a child in the stinking swamp. she sighed and leaned her head back, enjoying the tranquil silence of the cavern.

[Tarantio]

* his ear's pick up the sounds of the spashing water and looking up from the deepth of the cavern seeing a young girl. taking a deep breath he walked out from the shadows brushing his hair from his face and looking up to her*

"greetings ... i thought i was the only soul here "

[Miyana]

miyanas head snapped around and her hand grabbed the hilt of her sword, so quick she was almost a blur, she was in a crouching position. she looked at herself and relaxed, she was so uptight sometimes.

"greetings...and sorry for that"

she said in her strange yet alluring accent

"you probably are"

she said in response to his comment about souls

[Tarantio]

* startled by her response and jumpping back himself, bitting his lip and shaking his head *

"no no Please forgive me,i did not mean to scare you, its been a long time since i have seen another person ..."

* a gentle breeze blows down into the deepths carrying the scent of the girl , with another deep breath he suddenly clicks own her remark *

" ... ah ... your ... "

[Miyana]

she ignored his comment but her eyebrows pinched together just a little bit

"it has also been a while since i have seen people as well"

she smiled nervously and her hand dropped from her sword, she froze for a few seconds before slowly turning towards him and looking at his skin. she looked shocked and confused

"hang on... how did you get here? you are not of symenestra descent? how did you reach here?"

her eyes narrowed suspiciously and she reached her sword again, it was her only defense against unwanted creatures

[Tarantio]

* turning away and walked a bit closer to the waters edge and then back up to the girl with a sigh*

"Course im not... wait ... were am i exactly? see i was ... well marooned here , well more like shoved down and laughed at "

* he sighed again once more *

" i was on my way thro Kalea and i got .. well escorted here, they toke what miza i had in plain sight then shoved me down here, what luck hmm? "

[Miyana]

her hand dropped to her side where she vowed that that was where it would stay, one of her eyebrows lifted and a giggle escaped from her lips

"this is just a big cavern thats hard to reach if you're not one of us, what did you do?"

she asked curiously

* sighing again and placing his hand to his chin *

"well as far as i can remeber it wasnt a nice walk to get here, specialy when you have a bunch of goons poking you with a stick ... they kept me blind folded most of the way, and when they did take it off it was slight quite dark so i didnt even see much before i got shoved and well , im glade the water broke a bit of my fall "

* streching his back with a bit of a sigh *

" and what did i do? ... just asked for directions, they directed me , down this pit . nice folks more of your people if you were wondering "

she giggled again this time raising a hand to her lips to stifle her giggles

"i guessed, as you've probably noticed i'm a little different than them, anyway want help getting out?"

she extended her hand cautiously towards him
