It was both a relief and disappointment when Markus lowered Jaelyn's legs back down to the ground, but neither she wanted to vocalize. Instead she settled with pulling her gaze away from Markus' handsome features and offering a murmured, "Thank you," though looking away did little to reduce her embarrassed flush.
Holding to Markus' shoulder, as instructed, she walked side by side with her fellow Squire towards the edge of the bathing pool. As they reached the edge she cleared her throat softly, still unable to look at Markus due to embarrassment, and then softly spoke, "Perhaps we should head back to the dorms for the night? I think my shoulder has been soothed as much as the water can."
She was reluctant to leave Markus' side, finding his strong body a comfort, but she was worried what might hapeen if they stayed like this much longer. As nice as he was, surely he would understand her desire to focus on becoming a Knight.
