Warm Water and Setting Sun (Markus)

It was both a relief and disappointment when Markus lowered Jaelyn's legs back down to the ground, but neither she wanted to vocalize. Instead she settled with pulling her gaze away from Markus' handsome features and offering a murmured, "Thank you," though looking away did little to reduce her embarrassed flush.

Holding to Markus' shoulder, as instructed, she walked side by side with her fellow Squire towards the edge of the bathing pool. As they reached the edge she cleared her throat softly, still unable to look at Markus due to embarrassment, and then softly spoke, "Perhaps we should head back to the dorms for the night? I think my shoulder has been soothed as much as the water can."

She was reluctant to leave Markus' side, finding his strong body a comfort, but she was worried what might hapeen if they stayed like this much longer. As nice as he was, surely he would understand her desire to focus on becoming a Knight.

Markus responded to her thank you with a simple smile. As they walked to the edge, Markus pondered if he should make a move, even though he wanted to, very much, something about the way Jaelyn had behaved, made him doubt if it would be clever to give into his desires. "You should have told me to put you down on the edge." Markus said as he climbed up on the edge and stood. Offering the female squire a hand if she needed one. "Would have spared your shoulder." He clarified. When Jaelyn had gotten up on the edge. Markus flashed her one of his charming smiles. "Are we still on for tonight?"

"It is only sore, there is no need to treat it as if it is broken," Jaelyn replied softly to Markus' suggestion as she moved to climb up after him.

When Markus offered his hand to help her up Jaelyn briefly hesitated, and then took his hand and let him help her out. She hadn't needed it, but she didn't want to appear rude or proud by refusing kind help. Once she was up on the ground again Markus flashed her a smile that caused her heart to jump and a fluttering feeling in her stomach.

"Yes, I did agree to it, and I there is no reason for me to go back on my word," she said softly, turning her gaze away from Markus and towards the entrance to the changing room, "Should we go get dressed and meet up outside then?"

A part of her was nervous about going to watch the sunset with Markus, but nervousness was hardly a reason to break her word. She had agreed to it, and with Tyveth as her witness she would honor her word.

"See you outside." Markus said with a small nod before turning towards the exit to the male changing rooms. He didn't look over his shoulders to see if Jaelyn was admiring his frame as he walked away. But he surely hoped she were. He would dry his over sized body and then begin to put on his clothes. Finally he would don the plate mail armor he had worn earlier during training. He would carry the helmet between his left arm and chest. He would leave the dressing room and go outside and wait for Jaelyn. His muscles completely relaxed. His skin feeling smooth and fresh. He always loved it when he had been in the Soothing Waters. The feeling afterwards was amazing. He would have a small smile on his lips when Jaelyn would come out.
