Physical Appearance:
Raylan isn't the largest man, but he certainly is not the smallest either. Standing at six feet, three inches and weighing a solid two hundred pounds. The lifestyle he lives keeps his body toned and defined. His shoulder long brown hair complementing his amber yellow eyes and sun tanned kin. He is mostly clean cut, although he does allow his some shadow of stubble to line his jaw. His clothing is made up of textiles with flower patterns, all with bright colors or unique techniques in sewing, and decorations on them.
Character Concept:
It's a little strange that Raylan was raised as he was; anyone would have expected him to be the kind of person who would have little better to do than move from one party to another, rolling on through hedonistic release. After all, that's exactly how his parents spent the majority of their time. It isn't as if Raylan doesn't; it's just that there's a fair deal more to him than the lifestyle and his frequent lingerings at bath house and taverns. He is a playfully mischievous man who believes that anything can be made to be fun so long as said 'fun' is done correctly.
Handsomely elegant and inquisitive, he has a real passion for art and culture; or rather gossip. He pride himself on being in the know when it comes to the latest trends and will go out of his way just to 'collect' information. Often times overly confident in himself. He does whatever he likes as long as it pleases him in some way. He can be called a trickster given his deceitful nature, impulsive behavior, and utter lack of a moral compass. Some people might even call what he does swindling or immoral. But they just don't know how to play the game.
Born on the Anchorage Flotilla. He is the eldest son of Ricard and Therese Zallow. They were both people who lived lives which were more about making connections, friends, and establishing themselves in city societies. And less about playing of actually being entertainers. Flourishing in in his parents lifestyles, Raylan did learn their ways. Given then nature of their jobs, they would often leave him to his own devices at the peek of celebrations. Raylan was adventuresome in that he was always getting into and out of trouble exploring and learning about the natural world when his parents would take him to places where they worked.
His family life was one of distant parenting. And when he was with his mother and father, Raylan used his wits to get by. In truth, his father had been rather neglectful, boarding abusive. To escape it, he was often left alone to run around with street urchins or random children.
But his childhood was not always filled with pleasant wanderlust. Sometimes he simply wanted to escape from the man who he called his father. A petulant bastard when the man was not around his mother. He was the one who train Raylan in Hypnosis in ways that bordered torturer. It was what led Raylan to find solace within the Gibbets.
Needless to say, he found himself in constant problematic situations that he had to slip away from in the Alvadas Streets Below. These situations were often made more suitable through the use of hypnotism, a craft that his own father used. While many of his friends practiced the arts of pickpocketing, Raylan found the job of being a 'distraction' far more worthwhile.
The only stable adult in his life was his mother's close friend Coral Seadrifter, a Svefra who practically raised Raylan on her casinor 'The Violet Lilly'; the same casinor he was born on while it was docked at the Anchorage Flotilla.

Coral was not always a sweet woman. Once she was a maleficent bastard, a true black hearted swashbuckler; as if being born and raised into a Svefra pod of pirates wasn't reason enough to be shunned and persecuted. When her parents were killed in her youth, she sailed the seas on her own until she met Raylan's mother. They sailed the seas together and had a short lived but passionate romance which evolved into a lifelong friendship once they finally parted ways. That loving experience softened her heart enough to give up pirating and join a new Pod. She can often found on the Anchorage Flotilla, or sailing the Northern Suvan Sea on her Casinor 'The Violet Lilly' near the bay of Alvadas.

History
Ricard was born during a time in his life where extravagance in art was valued above almost all else; learning the art of acting during his childhood. He was a lonely child who spent most of his time talking to him self, he even went so far as to dress up and act as other people. It became an odd habit that he never did quite outgrow. However, considering he grew up in Alvadas his parents never really found it unusual. When not alone, he bonded the most rapidly and thoroughly with a girl name Therese, and quickly came to a point where he seemed to fall for the girl. But she never returned his affections, and they remained friends for years.
As an adult, has now long since left his acting days behind him.
No longer a victim of love unrequited, he swayed his childhood sweet heart into loving him through the subtle use of hypnotism. It was a long well maintained process that shattered his mind when he finally fell int over-giving. He became a far more mentally unstable man and eventually an unstable father.
He sired two children named Raylan and Cacy; the former of which he treated with a sort of distant affection towards, and the latter, an iron fist of disappointment. There was no logical reason as to why he treated his kinds with such animosity. Ricard simply found the way Raylan rebelled against him entertaining. All the while, he found Cacy’s daughterly loyalty to him agitating.
He practiced a distant form of parenting only because his wife enjoyed being a mother. When that bond grew to over shadow him, he typically left the children with a friend of his wife named Coral Seadrifter on the Anchorage Flotilla out on the Suvan sea.
