Aeilia hated the city with a passion, and was glad to become a nobody with the help of her mother's cloak in the sprawl. She was only here to obtain enough provisions to feed herself and to share with the children she cared for back at The Tent City. There were too many people buzzing about loudly enough for her to crave some silence and so she turned down an alleyway that seemed deserted. As she turned the corner four figures came into view. Her attention shifted immediately to a large man whom she could feel was angry, and in front of him stood a little girl courageously drawing upon what inner strength she had to appear steadfast. 'Oh no...' Aeilia said to herself. This was not the city for underwhelming children to carouse about in, especially if they don't take heed as to the nature of Sunberth, which Aeilia knew all too well. 'I have to help her...' Her pace quickened from a lazy lingering walk to a fluid striding quietly over to where they were speaking. Hopefully she could divert the man's gaze from the little one in order to let her be on her way. If he attacked, she knew what to do... "Hello there!" she said with a big smile toward the both of them, keeping the other two figures in the corner of her eye. |
