Clyde had been nervous enough to say what he did. But it did not help, when he did say it, that Flynn decided to stop showing herself, and stop working at being visible. Of course Clyde assumed that he had angered her or something. He could tell she had not left, due to the small bit of experience with ghosts he had. He could sort of see a murky blurry outline, were he had last seen her, which did calm him a bit. Perhaps she had just lost her hold on her appearing, since she had not floated off. But it was good to know she was still there. Though he could only tell she was there, if he looked right at her. Even then, it took a lot of concentration to do so. And if he looked off center, she vanished completely. It was odd really... He had not even been aware he could do that. That he could see a ghost, even when it was hiding, or not trying to be visible. As she reappeared, and said yes to Clyde, he did not pick up on the uncertain tone, and smiled a bit, excited at the prospect of doing so again. "I know it was a bit rough last time, but I think if we work at it, we could get better. It was really the first time I had done it, and had much control over it." Clyde smiled once more, trying to appear friendly, as he tried to read the ghosts face... A skill at which he was miserable, even with living people. "I would not mind trying again. No way to get better, than to just do it." |
