Secret :
Clyde is a very tall and gangly man, with a rather stretched out look, with long thin fingers and toes.

He has brown hair which comes to the bottom of his ears, and is rather unruly, always sticking up in various areas, especially in the back. He tries to shave regularly, though it is not uncommon to see him with several days of facial growth while he is working on something.

He has striking sky blue eyes, which are very distinct. He also usually has a decently tanned skin, as he prefers to train outside, near nature, and not inside like many people.

Temporary
-Blow to the Head - Clyde will have random headaches for the next 15 days. While not incapacitating, they will be very annoying, and will mostly happen when he concentrates on something.(Crucible)(Healed by time)

-Wound to Ribs - While Rhysol's blood sealed the wound, it will still be sore for some time. For the next 5-10 days, any physical activity will result in intense pain. After that it will be mostly healed, but will be sore randomly throughout the rest of the season and into fall. The crimson scar that is his gnosis mark will forever remain.(Crucible)(Healed by time)

-Other Wounds - All mostly superficial. While intended to inflict great pain, all the wounds will heal up completely in 10-20 days.(Crucible)(Healed by time)

-Mild Eye Strain – Caused by just a little bit of Auristics Overgiving. When using Auristics over the next couple of days (or just doing strenuous visual tasks) Clyde can experience nonspecific soreness of the eyes, mild tearing or dryness, blurring of vision, soreness of the back of the neck, doubling of vision, light sensitivity, difficulty focusing on images, tightness of the temples or back of the head, or combinations of all of these. Headache is the most common symptom. It is usually mild, located in both temples, not pounding, and often relieved by stopping the visual task.(Received 50 Winter 513)(Healed by time)

-Effects of Well of Madness Test- Although fatigued and drained the only sign that Clyde would have through this is a series of welts all over his body. These welts will last for one full season as they mysteriously appeared from his hallucinations. He will have some mental blocks occur and may experience terrible flashbacks upon his return to Ravok somewhat like PTSD.- 13 Winter 514(Physical effects Healed by Time- mental affects less clear)

Character Concept
Secret :
With Magic:Clyde is a strong willed person who is willing to defend a point, and stand up for his beliefs. He prefers to solve things through talk and logic if possible, but will fight if he has to, and once he gets started will fight full on without mercy.

Though he will help others, he is usually looking to get something out of it for himself, and will only truly help those he considers friends. Once they are his friend, he will trust them though, and will be willing to assist them in any way he can, though he also expects them to help him at times.

He is always trying to better himself, and to learn new skills and abilities, while improving old ones, and has a great thirst for knowledge and power. He does try to temper this with reason and caution, as he knows magic can be a very dangerous thing, if let to run rampant.

Without magic:

His magic was his outlet, his way of rebelling against his parents and society... to have lost it... he has lost a good bit of what he is...

He feels like he lost something, but he cannot remember what it is... There is a gaping hole, where there was once this skill... this thing which he was good at...

Character History
Secret :
Clyde grew up mostly in Syliras, living in the citadel, with his parents. His father was skilled in magic, and passed it onto him, though for obvious reasons, was not able to use it much in Sylaris. As he learned the various skills, he started spending a lot of time outside of the city so a to train by himself and away from anything he could damage. This has tended to estrange him from others, and did not give him a lot of chance to make friends.

As he trained, his magical powers grew, and he was even able to study and learn ancient tongue, and various other skills.

As he got older, he became less attached to the city, and decided he would move to a place were he could practice his magic skills much more freely, and perhaps also learn from some others.

And so he chose to move to Zeltiva, to study at the university, and to go to a place were magic was much more accepted.

Without magic:
An old man came by... using his hypnotism... he saw Bob and Clyde using magic, and felt that they were misusing it... And so he stripped them both of there memories of it, making them forget of magic, thinking it was not real...

The only thing left, was a need to go to Sahova... a need... no purpose, no reason, just a need... and he would have to go there to make things right...

Eventually he moved on to new places, and chose Ravok for his next destination, were he studied at The Institute of Higher Learning.

Its effect is to work more effectively against Nuit this means:

-Magic spells have added intensity when used aggressively with the intent harm against Nuit. Ex. A fireball will not be larger or stronger in any way but will do further harm to the Nuit if hit( more intense burns).
-Striking a Nuit directly with the staff will also have stronger brunt impacts and potentially do more damage.

It does NOT: Stop a Nuit from picking up or using the staff.

Special Properties: After being left in direct sunlight for greater than 2 hours it begins to reek of rotted flesh. This effect dissipates after it has been covered for 10 minutes.

-Magic Staff Cha(MC4)- 5' tall
Crafted by Clyde Sullins' own hands, this staff is a powerful creation that is personally connected to the Wizard. The staff's body is Izentor crafted Vian Wood structurally enhanced with three levels of durability using Magecrafting.

Because of this the staff cannot be broken by anything short of another magically enhanced item, or another Izentor crafted item of equal or higher level.

Cha has a strong aura that is visible to those of novice level auristics and above, clearly marking it for the magical item that it is.

(Taming the Staff)It has a strong affinity for both voiding and reimancy magic, allowing spells from either disciplined to be channeled through it more easily. Water reimancy feels more natural than any other element when channeled through the staff.

In addition to the intended affects, Clyde will also be able to sense this staff's location anywhere in the world once he tames and masters communion(Sensing Staff). Spells can be stored within this staff(Storing Spells), and Clyde is even able to touch and interact with ghosts and spirits using this staff. In the final steps Clyde used a hammer charged with a filament from a Journeyman, and because of this a few hidden abilities have been transferred as well that will be revealed after he tames the staff and masters communion with it.

Each Personal Magic that Clyde wishes to channel through the staff requires he learn how to channel each personal magic in thread and earn the lore Cha: Channeling (Personal magic)

Voiding and Reimancy will always be the easiest personal magics for Clyde to channel, especially water reimancy.

Personal magics learned to channel:
-Auristics- The staff can acquire the sense of touch and relay information like an antenna while equipped.
-Reimancy- Res can be shot out of the staff as if it were the wizard's skin, for greater aiming accuracy and focus.
-Voiding- One's own Voiding portals can be slowly moved by pointing the staff at them.

-The Fell Dagger- This dagger is a magical item said to be powered off the coldness of one’s heart. The dagger itself is cold to the touch and is made from a mysterious material that can’t be appraised. When used with the intention to kill it will glow with a bright aura and upon contact of flesh will burn with a cold effect that lasts up to two hours. It is rumored that the more that someone uses the dagger the colder their heart will become. Has the potential to cause frostbite to both the wielder and the victim, as such must be carefully wielded. The history of the dagger is unknown, but it is rumored to have been made when Kelsie Fell reached Marshall status in the Ebonstryfe made by Silvas himself; a sister blade to the blood stained dagger. As such the dagger will glow by itself when near the blood stained dagger. Coldness of one’s heart explanation: The dagger will only show effects of this enchantment if the PC shows personal struggle and interacts with other players solely to benefit themselves. As such this dagger will cause “evil or bad” characters to slowly fall into chaos the more they use it. They should show qualities of becoming withdrawn, hard to approach, and have qualities of just not caring for others at all.

-Soul Shackles of Madness- These shackles absorb into the afflicted’s soul and binds them to the well of madness. Their Djed will slowly be drained through time causing their soul to age at 5 times the normal rate. This effect lasts until it is unlocked by a feat of remarkable mystery to the PC. This feat must be accomplished upon which they will learn how to unlock it and choose to unlock it when they wish. I am actually in RL a super intelligent hamster from Rhode Island, with a 7 year plan to take over the world.

Update 6/2/18- 1:10AM EST: His 7 year plan a success, and several weeks ahead of schedule, Clyde leaves to oversee the world he has taken over.

No new threads after end of Spring 518-Will still be checking for PM's occasionally, but focusing on a new character.

I am actually in RL a super intelligent hamster from Rhode Island, with a 7 year plan to take over the world.

Update 6/2/18- 1:10AM EST: His 7 year plan a success, and several weeks ahead of schedule, Clyde leaves to oversee the world he has taken over.

No new threads after end of Spring 518-Will still be checking for PM's occasionally, but focusing on a new character.

Please be aware Clyde is a master Magecrafter. He therefore should not be gaining full xp(or possibly shouldn't gain any at all) for simple tasks related to this magic, such as low level MC items, particularly for repetitions of creations he has done before.
