She wasn’t entirely sure what the other was doing but she waited patiently, hearing the groaning and thumping and smirking a bit as her mind went down another road entirely. But just as she was about to make a comment and ask what the other was doing she felt herself being lead up what seemed to be an unsteady staircase. “Do all houses have a staircase to the roof?”

Honestly she wasn’t sure, her mama never let would let her climb a roof. She could practically hear her mam shouting at her and asking what she was doing and flinched a bit when she heard someone voice her mama’s imaginary thoughts. Not daring to move until she felt Tock beside her (she had no desire to fall off) she latched onto the others arm and glared in a downwards direction.

“And I’m supposed to blind?” she muttered before calling down, “We are examining the roof obviously.”

Another idea caught her interest and she could resist walking tentatively but with purpose she positioned herself in front of Tock and leaned in close, feeling the other’s chin near her head. She hadn’t realized Tock was so tall. “Not to mention we are on a date, so go away.”

Her arms threaded around the other and she laughed delightedly as she heard the sputtering from below and then proceeded to ignore the voice. Reluctantly releasing the other as too not over step her bounds and tease too much. Although she didn’t step far back, she could practically feel the edge of the roof.

“What is it you want to expect on the roof? Are roofs made of wood or stone?” her question was cut off though as the voice interrupted once more.

“It doesn’t matter what you're doing! Get off my roof!”

Vondra blinked in surprise, she hadn’t realized someone actually owned the building they were on. Well, what was the worst he could do? She doubted he would actually come up or maybe he would. She would highly appreciate it if he didn’t because this was turning out to be a much day than it started. Even if she had thought Tock was a petching jerk when they met.

[Flashback]Lost and Confused (Tock)

Postby Minerva Agatha Zipporah on July 25th, 2012, 4:40 pm

Tock was briefly distracted from her climb by the girl wrapping her arms around her and holding her close. She looked down in confusion, thinking maybe the girl had slipped and was clinging to her to keep from falling. She had completely tuned out the man down below, not much caring what he had to say about them climbing on his roof; if he wasn't going to say anything useful, he wasn't worth Tock's time.

"'Is one's gots a staircase now," she was saying distractedly, putting an arm around Vondra on the assumption that the other girl needed the support for her balance. But then when she said something about being on a date, it was Tock who lost her balance, her footing shifting a bit as she clung to the blind girl for support. It wasn't THAT far down to the ground... but it was far enough that she could easily sprain an ankle or something.

"Huh?" she asked Vondra, before the girl pulled back and distracted Tock further by asking about the roof. Thrown off balance by the sudden shift of topic, she looked between Vondra and the roof for a moment, then replied in a distracted tone, "Prolly tile. Makes fer good roofin' shingles. Gots ta git up 'ere ta find out though..."

She hoisted herself up, pulling up by her arms until she was able to bend her torso over the rooftop. Dangling by her waist, she scrambled a bit, lifting a knee up onto the roof then pushing herself the rest of the way up. Once she was on top, she laid down on her belly on the angled roof, and reached her arms down. "Reach up," she told Vondra. "I's pull ya up... an' 'urry," she added, glancing down to see the building owner walking around the stack of crates as if he planned to do something to stop them. "Ain't what gots much time 'fore bloke down 'ere tries fer ta cause a ruckus..." She highly doubted the man would go so far as to pursue them onto the roof. Few people could handle the heights well enough to do such a thing.

[Flashback]Lost and Confused (Tock)

Once again laughter bubbled up as Tock's confusion became apparent. Either she had never been on a date or she had barely registered that Vondra was flirting with her. Deciding to leave the other hanging for awhile she pretended not to notice the confusion and nodded before asking curiously about this tile stuff. "What is tile? Is it like stone?"

A moment later she felt Tock step away, feeling a bit off balance on the rickety set of stairs. The command and brush of fingers as well as the knowledge that the man might follow made her jump a bit. Grasping tightly at the other girls hands and scrambling up in an undignified manner. A smidgen of on confusion through her as she straightened herself out.

"I thought we were already on the roof earlier, how high do you think this is?" She tilted her head facing downwards as if she could actually see the floor beneath them. And maybe she couldn't see it but she could sure as hell hear the crash and feel the slight whoosh of air. Jumping a bit she called out nervously to the other her arm reaching out to grasp her companion and steady herself. "What the petch was that?"

She did not have to wait long for her answer though because a grumpy shout came from below, sounding a bit sheepish.

"Your damned crates fell."

Vondra blinked slowly as the turn of events dawned on her and she doubled over a bit as laughter consumed her. They were stuck on a roof with no way down and only the owner of the house knew but he did not seem like he would be helpful. This day could not seem to figure out if it wanted to be bad or good. And she couldn't decide which would be worse, lost and alone or stranded on a roof. Finding her hand in Tock's once more she only grinned warily. This day was against her and she would just with it.

"We might as well get a look at the roof." she tugged the other a little, trying to make her sit with her and inspect the roof. Her fingers brushing a rough surface, "This is tile?"

Tock pulled the girl up, ignoring the shouts coming from below. Though it was hard to ignore the crashes. She gripped Vondra tighter, worried the blind girl was falling, then glanced down to see the crates spilt across the alley in a jumbled mess. Apparently her 'staircase' hadn't been very sturdy after all.

"You stupid kids!" the man below shouted. Tock scowled at him... she was twenty, not a 'kid'! "I hope you fall off and break your necks! Look at this mess! It'll take me hours to clean up!"

Tock peeked over the edge of the roof and spat. "Go shove 'er up yer arse'ole!" she shouted at the man. She then scooted closer to the center of the roof, sitting alongside Vondra.

"Ain't too high up," she told the blind girl. "'Bout fi'teen feet? Nice view though..." She would have preferred to get up to a taller roof, but this would do for now. she could see across a lot of the nearby rooftops, and get a much better view of the upper level of the buildings' structures.

She sat with her knees hugged to her chest, getting some rest after the exercise from the climb. She didn't give one thought to getting back down; she'd tackle that problem when she got to it. Until then, she would enjoy herself.

When Vondra asked about the tile, Tock reached around until she found a loose one, and wiggled and pulled on it until she could pry it up. She placed it in the other girl's hands so she could feel the way it was curved. "See 'at?" she asked, taking the girl's hand in hers and guiding her fingers across the tile's curve. "'Ese's curved what fer ta lock together, an' fer ta make channels fer the rain." She guided the girl's hand down to the rooftop. In between each row of tiles was an indentation. When it rained, water would slide off the curved tiles, into the channels, and be fed off the building. While the style of these tiles were a bit different from what she was used to in Sunberth, the construction principles were the same.

[Flashback]Lost and Confused (Tock)

“Fifteen feet?” She wasn’t exactly sure how high that was but she guessed at least three of her, she was just a little over five feet herself. Or at least that is what her mama told her. Imagining something as tall as she felt (or short) did not really seem too tall and it eased her beginning of fears for falling. She couldn’t actually die from this height. “I’m sure it is.”

Vondra was being amiable, content to laze about and finding herself enjoying it immensely. She briefly wondered if all customers would be this easy or if this was a friendship. She wasn’t entirely sure. Maybe more of acquaintances. Patting herself a bit she noted her clothes were finally beginning to dry and crisping in a slightly uncomfortable manner.

Her attention wandered from the damp clothing quickly though as she felt the tile beneath her fingers, listening intently to what Tock was telling her. Whether or not it would be of use later didn’t matter, if the other girl was happy talking about it then she was happy listening. “Then like the other things that have water on them a lot would they need to be replaced?”

But her mind wasn’t on the roof, not entirely anyway and she tugged at the other’s hand a bit, leaning forward as she did so.

“Let me see your face.” It wasn’t really a question and she didn’t wait for an answer, impatiently but carefully reaching up. Her companion was indeed taller than her and she could feel the smoothness of her cheek, she was probably around Vondra’s age. Once more she found her fingers wandering to the other lips and she hesitated only a moment before sliding herself forward. It would only be a thank you kiss, it’s not like she was forcing herself on the other, right?

I’m not am I Nikali? Because I don’t think she’d mind. Maybe she doesn’t even know what a kiss is.

She could feel the other’s warmth and didn’t pause anymore giving the other a very chaste kiss and then pulling away slightly with a grin. “That was a thank you for today.”

[Flashback]Lost and Confused (Tock)

Tock knocked her knuckles against the tile and said, "Nah, ain't needs fer replacin'. Not for awhile, anywho. Tile ain't 'urt in the water. S'like stone, aye? Good an' durable... better 'an thatch o' shingles..."

Unlike Vondra, Tock's mind was very much on the roof. She was examining the tile in detail, comparing it to the ones she knew, trying to determine what the differences would be in how well they kept the rain off, and which would be better. When Vondra asked to see her face Tock distractedly replied, "Hmm?"

She felt the girl's hands on her face, and she froze, confused. She'd heard this was how blind people 'see' you, though it certainly felt...

Different...

The fingers brushed her lips, and she kept very still. Then the kiss. She blinked, staring at the girl in confusion. That had been completely unexpected. "Ahh... aye," she replied, somewhat lost. "Ain't nothin'," she shrugged. This was a pretty normal day for her. The underwater part had been new, but it wasn't like this was the first time she'd climbed a building. It didn't really occur to her that this was out of the ordinary for the blind girl.

Though she kept staring at the other girl for a long moment, caught in a curious confusion. Her lips tingled a bit. Tock was a creature of curiosity. It was what had urged her to dive underwater, and to climb up here today. She wanted to know everything she could about the world. Experience everything.

Sometimes even things she hadn't considered before.

“So, a thatch and shingle are not good four housing?” she nodded, considering the concept, “I’ll have to tell, mama, she was wanting to build her own house.”

After the kiss she had been hoping the other wouldn’t shove her off the roof or something otherwise. It seemed that luck was with her or Tock was very forgiving because she didn’t shove her off, only continued speaking, sounding only a smidge confused. It made her giggle a bit before turning into full blown laughter. Vondra had acquaintances and rivals but rarely did she have friends, if this was what it felt like it was an interesting feeling. After a moment, her own voice came out thoughtfully, “Can I do it again?”

She began to lean on the other, pressing her weight slightly and enjoying the feel of the other. It was rare that even her customers were so accommodating. It was even rarer that she enjoyed something this soft.

“Then you can tell me more about the roof,” She paused, enjoying the way their lips brushed as she spoke, “And the buildings and the city you will build …”

She trailed off, vaguely realizing they would have to go down eventually, but for now she wanted a bit more fun, they could cross the bridge of being stranded on someone’s roof when it came to that. A soft smile on her face she waited, she wouldn’t mind if the other rejected her. It would sting a little but she wouldn’t force herself, she’d stolen as much as she would allow herself for right now.

[Flashback]Lost and Confused (Tock)

Tock blinked in surprise at the question, unsure how to react. She hadn't expected this at all. Had the girl been flirting with her? She wasn't one to pay attention to such things. She preferred to live in the moment, acting on impulse, and rarely stopping to think about a person's motivations or the meaning behind their action.

And being a 'spur-of-the-moment' person, her curiosity (among other things) was aroused by the way the girl leaned in close, and started teasing her with a brush of her lips against Tock's. She'd never kissed a girl, really kissed a girl before. She felt a tingle of excitement, and a sense of wonder that had to be explored. Never once did a thought of romance or emotions cross her mind; she just liked to study and experience things...

And thus felt the sudden urge for experimentation.

The tile slipped from her hands, forgotten, and slid down the rooftop until it fell off the edge and shattered on the ground below. Cursing followed from the ground, but she didn't hear it. She was too focused on this new experience, and the sensations it brought. She let the teasing, not-quite-contact continue a moment longer, because it was new and exciting and she liked it. Then she pressed her lips firmly against the other girl's, a soft moan escaping her lips at the unexpected softness.

She hoped the other wouldn’t come to her sense with the question and it seemed she didn’t because soft lips pressed into hers once more. Tension she didn’t realize she had melting away in favor of nearly leaning all of her weight on the other. She felt more than heard the soft moan Tock let out, it vibrated nearly to the tips of her toes, her hands trailing up the other’s arms.

"Closer." Vondra tugged a bit, trying to pull the other closer as she gently nipped at her new companions lip, urging the other to open up in all ways.

Hearing soft sighs and a deep humming purr she realized was coming from herself she slipped her tongue into Tock’s mouth, deepening the kiss as much as she knew how. Her eyes squeezing shut at the feel and her hands tightening briefly before she pulled away a bit. She felt hazy and knew they should probably stop but she didn’t exactly wish too.

Instead Vondra drop her head onto Tock’s shoulder, her lips and teeth brushing and nibbling at the skin in an anxious question and trying to control her own sudden desires. It did not help that neither of them were dry and she could feel nearly everything through the clothes, her fingers itching to get beneath them but restraining barely. Taking her time dancing them along the others stomach.

“We should probably stop here.” It was mumbled and she regretted saying it but the roof was probably not an ideal place for where this could lead, especially with the owner only a few feet below.

As the girl's tongue sought entry, she parted her lips willingly, brushing her tongue forward in response. It was so new, so different... so sensual. She felt tingles, and gladly pulled closer upon the blind girl's request. She closed her eyes and just focused on the new and intriguing physical sensations, holding the soft body against her own. So soft and warm... were all girls this soft? She suddenly thought her own hands too rough as they slid across Vondra's arms, tracing firmly across tanned flesh.

When Vondra pulled back, Tock whimpered softly, biting her lower lip. She gasped when the girl started nibbling at her, never having thought that teeth could feel so good. She slipped her hands through the blind girl's hair and held her close, briefly wondering if the other girl's neck would taste as good as her tongue, before Vondra pulled back and declared it was time to stop.

Before she could respond, she suddenly slipped, sliding a few feet downwards, letting out a yelp as she braced her feet against the tiles. She stopped just short of falling off, tiles kicked down below in her brief descent, raining down to the walkway on ground level with repeated crashes that prompted more curses from the building owner.

When the danger passed Tock giggled and said, "Aye. Aye we done oughta gits down from 'ere..." She started climbing for the far side of the building, guiding Vondra along with her. On the other side of the building she searched around until spotting a small hand-pushed cart someone had parked nearby. The boxes atop it were closer than the ground itself, so Tock grabbed the edge of the building and lowered her feet, dangling there for a moment until she let go. She only fell a few feet then, her ankles feeling a lance of pain but otherwise left unharmed. She wobbled for a moment before she regained her balance, then called up to Vondra, "Oy, hang off the edge, I's catch ya!"
