Kyra smiled and walked outside with Tock, she was happy that they were going out again, but even more so that they were going to get food. Her stomach had been growling off and on every since she awoke that morning, and at this point Tock was starting to look a bit tasty.

Kyra's ears perked up with a bit of a twitch after Tock's question, as she realized that she had left the pouch back in her room.
"I'll..be back. Just a moment sook." She peeked at her friend from behind a rue of blush in her cheeks, and spun her tiny frame over her arm and raced back to her room. Again she peeked into the room just as Marcelo moved to roll over on his side again. She only watched him this time, and uncovered the outfit she wore the day before to get the coin pouch.

"I wonder how much is in here?" She thought as she shook the pouch in her hand. She glanced towards Marcelo again and stood up. He was still asleep and making odd noises as well. Kyra watched him for a bit and turned and left the room again. She skipped back down the hall, and slipped herself back under Tock's arm so that they come continue on their way.

In the market, Kyra spun left then right, her nose following the various scents and aromas of the food, cooked and uncooked. Being led by her nose, she hadn't paid attention that Tock had stepped over and got bread and fruit for them both. She stared at it for a tick, and wrinkled her nose as she sniffed it. Meat would have been a much tastier breakfast, cooked or uncooked, however Kyra was an opportunist and would eat just about anything when she was really hungry.

She finished off the bread rather quickly and then started on the fruit. She crunched loudly as she bit into it, her fangs puncturing through the layers and causing juice to squirt out and stick to her fingers. She looked around a bit at the people scrolling along, her eyes widen as she thought she saw the volunteer from the day before. Kyra started to point towards him, but Tock had already grabbed her and started to pull her along.

Following along, Kyra looked about and around them. All of the buildings seemed tall to her, yet there was one that eclipsed them all. She remembered the building from her childhood, though she had never climbed it. A bright smile grew across her lips and she spat the rest of the fruit onto the ground and wiped her mouth. Spitting on someone's head didn't sound all that fun, but to climb to the very top sounded like a fun way to start her day.
"Let's do it."

We're Taking Over! Kyra-Tock, Ravok's Most Wanted(FlashBack)

Tock studied the building, considering how best to go about this with her broken arm. She wasn't a great climber when she had both arms functioning, and didn't know how to manage without falling when she was down one arm. But she shrugged it off, figuring the worst that could happen was she breaks another bone.

She circled around the building until she found a spot with some decent handholds and footholds, and started to slowly ascend. She concentrated mostly on where to plant her feet, so she had enough balance to shift her arm from one hold to another. She pushed up off a windowsill, grabbing onto a ledge and pulling herself up. Then she scooted to the side where there was a wooden awning over one door and shifted her butt up onto it. She pushed back until she was far enough on the awning to be well balanced, then carefully stood up on it, searching for the next hold.

She waved Kyra to join her. "Might needja 'elp 'ere, Sook," she said. "Can ya git up 'ere," she pointed to a broad ledge above her, "an' 'elp pull me up?" The ledge was wide enough to maybe kneel on when she got up there, but getting from here to there wouldn't be easy one-handed.

We're Taking Over! Kyra-Tock, Ravok's Most Wanted(FlashBack)

Kyra stood besides Tock as she studied the building, the young kelvic didn't think much about the woman's broken arm. To her, the sling actually looked sort of interesting and she wound try it on if she had one of her own. She stared up at the building again. It was very tall and seemed to touch the clouds high above. It was much taller than the trees, or at least any that she had climbed, making it quite the challenge.

She followed Tock as she moved around the building and onto the side. Kyra watched as she began to climb, placing her hands and feet in the holes in the wall. It didn't look hard, and she figured that it was a lot like climbing trees. Once the footing is there, the rest will follow. When had stopped and waved her up, Kyra moved to the walls and started to climb. She mimicked Tock's moment, placing her hands and feet into the same holes and moving up.

She learned quickly that it wasn't the same as climbing trees, and seemed to have it's own difficulties. She looked down every few ticks, or any time she felt her feet slipping away. Turning her feet inward, she reached higher and lifted herself up onto the ledge. Kyra scooted, as Tock had done once she moved onto the wooden awning, then moved by her friend. Kyra looked up to the ledge that Tock motioned to, and bent her knees a bit and jumped up, catching hold of the ledge with both hands. As soft grunt escaped her lips as she slowly pulled herself up to kneel on the ledge.

Looking around, she was much higher than she had thought, and the breeze seemed cooler as it flowed through her hair.
"Come on sook." She smiled as she reached down grabbing Tock's good arm to help her up.

With Kyra's help, Tock pulled herself up until she could get a knee on the ledge, then pushed up the rest of the way onto it. She then grabbed a window sill for balance and carefully pushed her way up to her feet. "Good times, eh Sook?" she asked, looking around.

She inched along the edge to the corner of the building so she could study its support beams. She made mental notes of a few points to write down later, curious about the design differences on a taller than average building. It had to be harder to support the extra weight and keep the building from tipping over. She also examined the ledges they were using to climb, trying to determine if they were part of the support structure, or purely decorative.

They continued to ascend, Tock needing Kyra's help here and there, and moving slowly all the while. Eventually they pulled themselves up onto the roof. Tock rolled her body over the final rise and just lay against the sloped roof for a time, exhausted from the climb. Once she caught her breath, she scooted backwards on her butt until she was at the chimney, then leaned against it.

"Check out 'at view, aye?" she told her friend, gesturing out across the city. From up here they could gaze across the rooftops of a large swath of buildings, with tiles and shingles of different colors making a patchwork quilt off to the horizon. In the distance, she could see the shimmering water of the lake that surrounded the city, and she could make out some of the canals criss-crossing between the buildings.

"Betcha ain't never seen nothin' like 'at 'fore, aye?" She asked, slipping her arm around the girl. She was thinking about how hard it would be to make a running jump to the next rooftop, just for fun, but for the moment she just wanted to sit, and enjoy the scenery. It would be one of the last times she saw floaty-town, and while she rather hated most of the people here, the city itself could be quite beautiful.

Except the big ugly temple over there. Ugh.

We're Taking Over! Kyra-Tock, Ravok's Most Wanted(FlashBack)

"I wonder how far up we are?" She said she looked around more. At the moment she couldn't tell how high up they were, or if she had been higher in a tree. Perhaps it was the difference in location that threw her off. "What are you doing sook?" She giggled, watching at the woman inched along, and looked closely at the building. She started to wonder if Tock had climbed up there before and hid something for safe keeping. It wasn't hard to believe, even she had done so in the wilds more than a few times."Did you leave something?"

Kyra waited, glancing off into the distance here and there, until Tock was ready to move again. She followed along, as she had done before and helped Tock up when she needed her too. It was a slow process, but since she enjoyed climbing, it didn't bother her that it took as long. Once they reached the top, she pulled herself up and onto the roof. She breathed in deeply, feeling a thumping in her chest from the climb up. She glanced over toward Tock, who had laid out on the roof, appearing completely exhausted.

Kyra wasn't sure if she was hurt or just resting. Moving closer to her, Kyra crawled on top of the woman and stared down into her face.
"Sook, you're ok, aye?" The young kelvic blinked twice, when her friend started to scoot backwards on her butt, and started to crawl with her until they reached the chimney. "Aye..We're up so high." She settled on her knees and looked to where Tock gestured. The view was splendid, and she found herself staring off into one direction for a time, before she moved to look elsewhere.

"It's pretty amazing sook, have you been here before?" She leaned against the woman, as she pulled her arm around her. A soft purr began rumbling in her throat as she nuzzled her head against Tock's. The air was much cooler at the top, but the rising sun warned the chill from her skin. Kyra pushed closer to her, hoping to share some of her warmth as they relaxed on the rooftop. "So...this is where we spit on people, yea?"

Tock looked up in surprised when she suddenly found the young girl straddling her. It was... unexpected, though not unpleasant. "I... I's fine," she said. "Jus' tired from all the climbin'..." She hadn't at all expected to find the girl leaning against her and rubbing and nuzzling her. She had no idea that Kyra was interested in her in that way...

Of course, if she knew the girl actually had the mind of a cat, the behavior might have made more sense.

She reached up and gently stroked Kyra's hair. "I ain't been up 'ere 'fore, nah," she said softly. "Been on a few roofs, but not this one. Nice, though, aye?" Kyra's body was warm, and it was rather nice. Snuggled together against the chilly autumn wind.

It started to give Tock certain thoughts.

"We's spit on someone after I catch my breath," she whispered, sliding her arm down Kyra's back and holding her close. The girl's warm body was quite distracting. And soft.

We're Taking Over! Kyra-Tock, Ravok's Most Wanted(FlashBack)

Kyra smiled and rest her head on Tock's shoulder. The cool breeze started to pick up, blowing her long hair about and into Tock's face. Kyra moved closer as Tock pulled her in, the combined warmth was very soothing and Kyra could have stayed there for a while, or at least until she got bored. She wasn't sure why Tock wanted to spit on people, but she made it sound fun to do, and that was all the young kelvic really needed.

After a few ticks, she pulled herself away from Tock, and slowly crawled a few feet away. She took a moment to balance herself, before she stood up and started to walk. Kyra took slow steps, one foot in front of the other, both arms extended to either side of her in order to keep her balance. Once she had moved as far away as she could, the adventurous kelvic quickly spun around to face Tock again. She titled a bit, swaying her arms as she fought to hold her balance.

Once she was steady again, Kyra slowly started to walk back towards Tock again. She stopped half way, turning to look around her again. It looked like a different city from where she stood, and there was an odd feeling, as if she were being pulled towards the clouds. The next gust of wind didn't help to remove that feeling, as it tossed her hair about again.
"I'm going to have to come up here again....and again."

She turned towards the sun, her eyes close as she enjoyed the warming rays. Another gust of wind blow passed them, causing her to winkle her nose and lower her head as she tried to stay on her feet. "This feels great!"

We're Taking Over! Kyra-Tock, Ravok's Most Wanted(FlashBack)

Postby Minerva Agatha Zipporah on August 13th, 2012, 3:24 am

Tock watched the girl goofing off, giggling at the way she played a balancing act across the roof. She was rather cute. She tried to dismiss the thought, but it lingered. She was leaving the city soon. Maybe tomorrow. This could be her last night in the city, and the last time she saw the girl.

It made her start thinking about how she might want to spend her last day in floaty-town. Up here on a rooftop, spending time with one of the only fun people she'd met the whole time she was here... it was a rather nice start to what might be her last day in the city. Relaxing. Enjoying the cool breeze. Alone together, far above the rest of the city.

She got up and stepped up behind Kyra, letting out a soft sigh and wrapping her arms around her. Her good arm slipped firmly around the girl's waist, her broken arm in the sling just lightly lying against her stomach. "Sure is great, Sook," she whispered in the girl's ear. Her cheek brushed against Kyra's, and she was giving thought to certain... thoughts.

"Ya knows I's leavin' soon, aye?" she whispered. Regardless of one thing or another, she didn't want her new friend to get too attached to her. It would make her feel too guilty about leaving. Her fingers lightly brushed against Kyra's stomach, just at the waistband of her pants, and she grew quiet, thinking her thoughts.

We're Taking Over! Kyra-Tock, Ravok's Most Wanted(FlashBack)

Postby Kyra on August 13th, 2012, 4:33 am

Kyra stood in place, even against the somewhat troublesome winds, that seemed to want to push her off the roof top. With her eyes closed, it felt as if she were already lifting up, and the young kelvic had to move her feet around to be sure they were still firmly planted on the roof. She opened her eyes and looked up, a confused look on her grew on her face. Even though she was so high up, the clouds were still so far away. She would have thought that being so high, it would put her close enough to touch one.

She smiled and leaned back against her, when Tock moved behind her and wrapped her arm around her waist. She turned her head slightly, a soft purr coming forth, as she pressed her cheek against Tock's. She pouted and looked away to the sun in the far distance when Tock mentioned leaving again. Kyra didn't have many friends, or any besides Marcelo. During their travels she had mostly stayed with him, only wondering off a time or two. She hadn't met many people she liked, but Tock seemed different.
"Do you really have to leave?"

She closed her eyes again, as she felt the soft fingers of the woman, moving around her and down to her belly. It was a pleasant feeling, and one that reminded her of something she had almost forgot. Jacques had held her in a similar way when he danced with her. It had been so long, in her mind as least, but she could remember how much she loved to dance. Her mother would play for them, and she and Jacques would dance circles around the music room.

Those memories, fresh in her young mind now, brought that the urge she once had. Kyra moved her hand to gently cover Tock's and held her closer as she started to slowly sway her hips from side to side. Her shoulders moved a bit as she wrapped herself into Tock's embrace.
"Do you like to dance sook?" She asked, keeping their hands locked as she spun herself under the woman's arm to face her. Kyra moved closer, pressing her body against Tock's once more. Her golden eyes stared into Tock's and she moved her other arm around to gently wrap under the sling that she wore. The dance would be different, as she was used to Jacques leading, but he wasn't around anymore..none of her family was. She only had Marcelo, and Tock...for now.

We're Taking Over! Kyra-Tock, Ravok's Most Wanted(FlashBack)

Postby Minerva Agatha Zipporah on August 13th, 2012, 4:56 am

"Aye," Tock whispered. "Gots no job 'ere. Gots too much trouble goin' on lately. Ain't no good idea fer ta stick 'round..."

She smiled at the purring, idly wondering about it. It was such a strange trait for a girl to have. It was soothing... pleasant... intoxicating...

She let the girl guide her into the gentle dance, subconsciously moving her hips in rhythm with Kyra's. She giggle when the girl turned around to face her, shifting carefully to make sure she didn't lose her balance on the rooftop. "I ain't really never danced 'fore," she said, looking down into the cute girl's eyes. "'Specially not onna roof," she giggled, thinking it quite silly to be dancing with a girl on a roof. Though she had kissed a girl on a roof before.

She glanced around, belatedly realizing it was rather unsafe with the angle of the roof. She held Kyra close for a moment longer, fingers against the small of the girl's back, rubbing softly. She slid her hand just under the hem of Kyra's shirt, lightly massaging her skin. Then she whispered into Kyra's ear, "Maybe we should git inside, if'n we wanna dance, aye? Dun wanna fer ta fall down..."

She took Kyra's hand and led her, stepping carefully, across the roof. She peered over the edges until she spotted a ledge with a closed window. "Down 'ere," she said, shifting carefully to sit on the edge of the roof, then lowering herself one inch at a time down to the ledge. The window was locked, so she pulled out a chisel and worked it into the wood, twisting it back and forth until she cracked the wood. Without the wood secure, the lock became useless, and she was able to open the window and slip inside.

The room was someone's bedroom, but whoever it was didn't appear to be home. Tock took a guess that maybe the building they were on was one that rented rooms or apartments to people in the city, though she couldn't be sure. It didn't matter though; what was the worst that could happen? It wasn't like breaking and entering was any worse than what they'd done yesterday.

She giggled and pulled Kyra close again, sighing softly as they resumed the dance. She gently massaged Kyra's back with her fingertips, and whispered, "Yer a good dancer, Sook. 'Is's nice..." She leaned her head against Kyra's, and gently pressed her lips against the girl's forehead.
