Kyra smiled and walked outside with Tock, she was happy that they were going out again, but even more so that they were going to get food. Her stomach had been growling off and on every since she awoke that morning, and at this point Tock was starting to look a bit tasty. Kyra's ears perked up with a bit of a twitch after Tock's question, as she realized that she had left the pouch back in her room. "I'll..be back. Just a moment sook." She peeked at her friend from behind a rue of blush in her cheeks, and spun her tiny frame over her arm and raced back to her room. Again she peeked into the room just as Marcelo moved to roll over on his side again. She only watched him this time, and uncovered the outfit she wore the day before to get the coin pouch. "I wonder how much is in here?" She thought as she shook the pouch in her hand. She glanced towards Marcelo again and stood up. He was still asleep and making odd noises as well. Kyra watched him for a bit and turned and left the room again. She skipped back down the hall, and slipped herself back under Tock's arm so that they come continue on their way. In the market, Kyra spun left then right, her nose following the various scents and aromas of the food, cooked and uncooked. Being led by her nose, she hadn't paid attention that Tock had stepped over and got bread and fruit for them both. She stared at it for a tick, and wrinkled her nose as she sniffed it. Meat would have been a much tastier breakfast, cooked or uncooked, however Kyra was an opportunist and would eat just about anything when she was really hungry. She finished off the bread rather quickly and then started on the fruit. She crunched loudly as she bit into it, her fangs puncturing through the layers and causing juice to squirt out and stick to her fingers. She looked around a bit at the people scrolling along, her eyes widen as she thought she saw the volunteer from the day before. Kyra started to point towards him, but Tock had already grabbed her and started to pull her along. Following along, Kyra looked about and around them. All of the buildings seemed tall to her, yet there was one that eclipsed them all. She remembered the building from her childhood, though she had never climbed it. A bright smile grew across her lips and she spat the rest of the fruit onto the ground and wiped her mouth. Spitting on someone's head didn't sound all that fun, but to climb to the very top sounded like a fun way to start her day. "Let's do it." |
