Description:

Nestled high in the mountain, founded in the year 437 AV, the Flight Leader Academy is where aspiring endal go who wish to become more than just what their caste allows. The Academy trains endal to become more than just hunters and providers for the city, but leaders among their caste. Students at the academy further hone their hunting and combat skills, but couple it with the training and knowledge to lead their fellow endal on hunts and into battle.

The Flight Leader Academy is not the only location that the training program utilizes, but it is where classroom sessions are held as well as graduation. It also houses the offices of the various teachers and the headmaster. The Academy also houses a small library, so that the students do not have to travel all the way to the enclave to study. The library is mostly filled with books on hunting, military tactics, and other things that are useful to would-be flight leaders. There are no set hours at the Academy and it is open at all times to students, however classroom and training sessions are scheduled by the individual teacher.

Academy and Related Locations:

Library

One can usually find numerous copies of books involving hunting, tracking, military tactics, geography, and anything else that could be related to the Endal. There is also a small religious section of the various gods that frequent Wind Reach, including a single book on Ivak which was added after his release.

Headmasters Office
ImageThe office of Headmaster Damien, every flight leader to enter the academy has visited the place at least once. Many who enter are turned down, but the few who are worthy are allowed to attend the school. The office is located just outside the grand hall, but the headmaster is only there for a few bells a day. The rest of the time he is busy helping to teach the flight leaders to be.

The Grand Hall
Image A large hall where ceremonies are often held, the grand hall can easily hold over 200 people to accommodate for the flight leaders and any guests they may have invited. It is most commonly used for graduation ceremonies at the end of each season and for any assemblies or other gathering students are required to attend. It also houses the graduation banquet the night following graduation ceremonies.

(Other locations will be added as needed)

NPCs :
ImageName: Damien (Ikaro)
DoB: Spring 15, 447 AV
Title: Headmaster
Skills: 75 Leadership, 50 Teaching, 55 Hunting, 45 Longbow

An Inarta of many years, age has only just begun to take its toll on Headmaster Damien. Too old to go on hunts on a regular basis, Ikara accepted the position as headmaster at the Flight Leader Academy in the year 507 AV. His wind eagle, Ikaro, also settled down finding himself a mate. Damien has a good eye for potential, and every flight leader to be must first go through him to get accepted into the training program.

Biography:

Damien was born in Wind Reach, as are most Inarta. His parents were both Avora craftsman, but Damien knew from a very young age that he wanted to be an Endal. He spent most of his childhood helping out around the eagle aeries in hopes that he would bond with one of the chicks. Eventually he met Ikaro, and the two immediately felt a connection. Damien was one of the youngest Endal to bond with a Wind Eagle, at the age of 11 years old, though he was not actually able to fly and hunt until years later.

Damien excelled at his duties as an Endal, and it wasn't long before he applied for a flight leader. It took him two seasons to complete the course, and he has since been on many missions and assisted training many young flight leaders. In his old age he was offered the position as headmaster and he readily accepted, more than willing to help give back to the program that had done so much for him.

Personality:

Damien is wise man with many years of experience under his belt. He loves to teach, and spends most of his time aiding would-be flight leaders at the academy. He is very easy to like, and comes off as kind and friendly. Years of service to Wind Reach did little to harden his soul, and age is only just barely catching up with him. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Damien is a willing mentor to any who seek his advice.

Moderator Note: To apply for the program, simply post in this thread. Your character needs to talk to Damien before they can be accepted. If you post, please PM your DS to let them know that you've done so, so that they may respond :)
