I'm new to all of this -- RP, I mean, and now that I think about it, writing in any serious capacity. Reading, on the other hand has always been something I loved. Both fiction and non-fiction hold my interest, though the priority tends to bounce back and forth with my mood.
I found Mizahar when I thought I'd try my hand at this whole writing thing. Wasn't hard, just took a couple google searches.
I think the sequence went something like:
Learn writing, fiction
Beginner Role play
Fantasy RP
Bam, Mizahar!
So far my favorite thing about Mizahar is how much it has to offer. There're plenty of people with plenty of talent, and plenty of tools available to build a character and their story from the ground up. There's a lot that you can do, and just enough of a guideline to make it accessible without feeling limiting.
If anything has frustrated me with Mizahar, it's how distant I feel from everyone else right now. I feel like there's a huge gap between where I am and everyone who has an established character in the world.
I'd like to be in a place where I can learn to write, preferably in a setting where much of the world is built, maybe try my hand at helping to develop something new, and ultimately branch off and do my own thing.
Right now I don't have enough experience to say what I would like expanded. But that's one of the things I love about the site, if something needs expanded, it seems I can work with people to get it done.
Anything else I want to talk about? Yes.
The thread is named what it is for a reason. If anyone is willing to show me the ins and outs of the site a step at a time, it would be much appreciated. I know it's probably a lot of work, though, so if no one is willing, I'd understand. Either way, would love to chat to people, PM me if you have a sec, it'd be cool to get to know a few people as I get started.

. We all start somewhere, and this is just your very first step to greatness. I was just like you not long ago at all. I had never RPed but I loved to read, and really writing is just like telling a story yourself. After all SOMEONE had to write your favorite books, and if they can do it so can you
.
