Center of scholarly knowledge and shipwrighting, Zeltiva is a port city unlike any other in Mizahar. [Lore]
Whispers have been circulating the city denoting Trident Champion Montaine Redsun as a very generous and true citizen of Zeltiva. Even with a hard life of health issues and growing up without a mother he had become a morally aware hard working Zeltivan man. Maria Satterthwite herself, among many others, believe he will go far to making Zeltiva a better place for us all!
I personally think he is just sleeping with Maria...
Mystery illness has been spreading throughout the city, and so the Lord of Council has decided to temporarily quarantine the city to reduce the spread. Travellers cannot enter or begin in the fair city of Zeltiva, though those already in the city do not need to take action. Be aware, those on the Quest to Sahova will still be allowed entry.
As Syna's sun begins to set, all are called to gather at the shore for the annual Summer Sea Festival - to celebrate the oceans, and their almighty father Laviku.

OOC Notes :
I will clamp down strictly on any meta-gaming. All information sought and gained must be done so ICily and realistically. In other words, there will be no "coincidence" or "luck" involved here. Players are free to run their own threads investigating this event in an attempt to discover the truth. If players reach a point where they need a modly interludeFor example, bribing a certain sailor with imported wine to loosen his tongue and asking certain questions, post it in my office and I drop a quick post. If players complete a thread that may contribute towards this investigation, submit it to my office for grading as well. Please make sure to include the title of this event in your grade/mod request post "Act I of Heartless Desperation: Citizen Investigation" so that I know that it is not an ordinary thread.
The efforts of the NPC investigation will largely depend on the players, so this is very much a player-driven affair. It is a test drive for a new system for Zeltiva that I have in mind, so if this works there will be more events like this in the future.
Reports have been coming in of strange events in the bay once again. The Obelisks have been glowing at night, and mages have felt particularly strong pulses of Djed emanating from them. The tides have also been changing at odd times, with marine life turning up dead on the shore with no explanation. Citizens are advised to stay away from the bay unless for essential business, or entry into the city.
Lord of Council, Maria Satterthwite, has announced the Denvali settlement formed by the refugees will be officially ordained as a city Quarter come season change.
Citizens of Zeltiva are advised to remain calm, despite the resurgence of fever and sickness across the city. Citizens are also advised to refrain from touching rats and insects as they seem to be on the rise within the city. The Lord of Council has begun thorough investigations.
