The Doctor looked up. His assailant had disappeared into the night. The Doctor breathed a sigh of relief.

He gathered his thoughts, and slowly rose to his feet dusting himself down.

The Doctor unlocked the back room. In the back room were several small cages covered by white cloth. He listened but he could only hear the gentle sleeping of his test subjects. He carefully locked the back room and stepped out into the night.
