This northernmost city is the home of Morwen, The Goddess of Winter, and her followers who dwell year round in a land of frozen wonder. [Lore]
Zachary looked puzzled at first. Jesslyn's stammering suggested she was embarrassed by what she was observing.
"I was observing...your...laugh?" Jesslyn questioned.
Well that certainly was an odd request but now it makes sense. Zachary smiled a bit and let out a light laugh. "Why do you sound embarrassed? It's fine really, I don't mind answering questions or following requests."' He noticed she turned away so Zachary didn't press the matter any further.
Zachary took a deep breath trying to gather what little knowledge he had of Avanthal. Zachary knew the Frostfawn hold but not as well as the Snowsong hold. He remembered the smell of animals domestic and wild alike, it was a place that could feel like home but it didn't strike his interest. "The Frostfawn hold? That's the hold where the animals are kept right?" He smelled the air, it was faintly familiar though he wasn't entirely sure. " It smells similar, from what I remember, but I'm not entirely sure." He looked at Jesslyn who was now tugging on his arm.
Zachary acknowledged her concern for him. When Jesslyn mentioned the wolf her friend Sylvia had told her was spotted out there he wanted to tell her it could have been him. In Avanthal being Kelvic was not uncommon but to Zachary he wanted to hide it. He tried hard to cover the fact he was a shifter and although he enjoyed being in his animal form he was ashamed of it when in towns. Zachary felt strongly that he would scare any person with a sign of companionship away if they knew he was Kelvic let alone a wolf, after all his adoptive parents left him because of it.
"Oh yeah, I have seen that wolf, not many bears though." Zachary laughed as he spoke. "Its not too dangerous if you know what you are doing. I don't know a lot, but my parents raised me out in the wild so it is nothing new." He looked at Jesslyn who was now handing him her walking stick.
"Hold this." Jesslyn said as she handed the staff to him.
Jesslyn proceeded to unclip her cloak and hand over her fur coat to Zachary. She must have felt my shiver. He gave a nod in her direction. " Thank you." He said simply as he put Jesslyn's coat on.The smile on her face warmed him. "It's a little snug but ill try not to rip it." Zachary teased her in hopes of assuring her that it was perfect.
"I'll get my own at the market...I've need one for a while now" Zachary added with a discontented look on his face.

"Man thinks himself immortal; though he knows he will die, he will never know he is dead."
Jesslyn gave a small laugh as he said it was a little snug. Jesslyn rolled her head in the way one rolls their eyes and focused back on to Zachary. But soon her smile faded into a frown, "What do you mean, needed one for a while." Jesslyn's eyebrows narrowed, "You mean to say you have lived up north all this time with out a jacket? Something to keep your warm!" Jesslyn flayed her hand.
'What is wrong with you!' she wanted to say. She actually wanted to beat him with her staff but he still had it at the moment. So she settled on poking his blurry chest, "There had to be brains some where in there! Come now. Living in the domain of Morwen with out a coat. What have the dashing men around here come to." Jesslyn hadn't noticed what she had said but once she did she blushed a little.
Jesslyn couldn't really form a nervous look but her face was definitly a little hotter than it was before, 'What is wrong with me all the sudden.'
Zachary's smile grew as he heard Jesslyn's small laugh that was accompanied by a brief smile. She actually liked my joke? Yes! I thought it was pretty lame...and forced...at least she can't tell it took me a second to think about that one. The happy, fun mood surrounding the two took a sharp turn to serious. Jesslyn's smile left her face leaving Zachary a little hurt. He understood though that it was time to be serious.
When the serious mood hit Jesslyn questioned Zachary's lack of coat.
"What do you mean you've needed one for a while?"
She started poking him in the chest. By the force of her pokes Zachary could tell she would love nothing more than to kick him to the ground and beat some sense into him. He tried very hard but could not help the smile that grew on his face.
"There had to be brains somewhere in there! . . ."
Zachary's smile grew larger with this comment. A laugh building inside.
". . . Come now. Living in the domain of Morwen without a coat. . . . ."
Zachary nodded in her direction. He was not used to lectures but something about this girl, Jesslyn, made him not want to argue as he usually would.
". . . What have the dashing men around here come to." the words slipped from Jesslyn's mouth. She blushed when she realized what she had said.
Zachary's Smile grew a little crooked as his face changed to its puzzled self. "You find me to be a dashing man?" Although this puzzled Zachary, he knew he would have to tell her soon. Dashing...She finds me dashing. all that aside I need to tell her I'm Kelvic. He looked down at her the blush growing with heat radiating from her cheeks. "I don't know how to say this...I..." through the stammering and pausing Zachary tries to collect himself. "...Find you to be very attractive and undeserving of someone as dashing as I." He emphasized the word 'dashing' and hoped to diffuse any tension Jesslyn may have had. Zachary laughed a little at his comment. There was uncertainty in his laugh though, he knew this wasn't what he wanted to say but it was all he could muster. OOC Thanks, without you I wouldn't have it

"Man thinks himself immortal; though he knows he will die, he will never know he is dead."
Jesslyn tripped over her words... even though there weren't any. Jesslyn kept her finger pressed to his chest, without realizing it was still there, and scratched the back of her head with her free hand.
But it seemed Zachary wasn't fairing any better as he stumbled over his words, actual ones to be exact. Jesslyn's blush shot through the roof when he expressed that he found her very attractive also. But it upset her at his final words. "Hey. Now I know the saying is 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder.'. So if I say your dashing... then you are." Jesslyn pressed her finger into his chest.
Realizing what she was doing she went to pull it back but stopped, "Why would you say other wise? If I were to say I didn't think myself deserving of you, what would you do? Deny it of course." Jesslyn could still feel the blush but tried to ignore it as much as possible.
Accepting that this was an awkward moment Jesslyn decided it would be the only one she would attain for. "Do... you think I could..." Jesslyn frowned then sighed, "Would it be okay for me to... look?" Jesslyn hoped he knew what she was talking about because it was embarrassing to ask someone if she could feel them.
"Okay, Okay if you say I'm dashing hen I must be dashing." Zachary started to shake his head. The cold no longer bothered him thanks to Jesslyn's coat but a shiver ran through his body.Well she is right, I would disagree if she said otherwise. Zachary shook the shiver off.
"Would it be okay for me to...look?"
The words rung in Zachary's head. look? What does she mean? She can see by touch, right? Zachary felt his arms tighten as he fumbled with Jesslyn's staff. "yeah" Zachary cleared his throat. "I mean, Yeah of course you can look. although I'm not really sure what that means..." he forced a smile to his face.
Zachary's thoughts raced, not about Jesslyn but rather how he was going to tell her he was Kelvic. After all they've only known each other a few hours at most and this isn't something he tells many people, let alone the right day. She is going to touch you in some way. Pull it together and stop being nervous. You...can...do this.

She felt him fumble with her staff through her finger and sighed in relief when he said she could. Slowly Jesslyn brought her cold hands to his neck.
There was coiled muscle that felt a little rough but had a smooth overflow. Jesslyn's fingers slowly run up to his jaw and traveled over the stubble. His jaw was strong and set a little lower than usual but Jesslyn quickly let that slide. Her fingers then moved to his cheeks and the skin there. Is was softer than his neck but was a little colder than it.
Jesslyn ran her fingers over his temples and to his forehead. One hand crept towards his hair and felt that is was soft but felt tangled any messy, the other hand ran over his nose and ghosted over his eyes.
Jesslyn pulled both her hands to clasp in front of her and gave a small nervous laugh, 'Dashing in deed.' she though. Jesslyn was confused as to why his jaw was a little low but he did live in the wild so maybe he had had a run in with an animal or sorts.
"Were you born with a low jaw or did you acquire it in a fight or incident?" Jesslyn questioned.
Notes: It's too bad that the thread didn't get the chance to continue. Zachary would have made a nice romantic interest for Jesslyn, too. And think of the things that could have happen when you threw Soren into the scene. Lovely.
Because of the nature and the shortness of the thread, I was not able to award very much, but I did give you what I could find.
