Fighting Dirty (Adilliana) (Tiernan Switriver) (Lucy Tides)

Postby Adilliana on February 24th, 2013, 6:10 am

The noises of the fight had slipped away as in numbing pain. Her eyesight, normally sharper at night was blurring as she fought to stay conscious. A shape of the giant girl who had come to her rescue hovered in front of her, lips moving but Adilliana couldn’t make out the words. She tried to smile to easy the signs of worry on the girls face but knew it was hopeless.

Adilliana had broken bones before in ‘playful’ altercations and she knew without a doubt the thug who had manhandled her had broken her left arm, maybe dislocated it as well it was hard to tell. It had ended her participation in the fight. Perhaps now that there main target was down the other bullies would leave?

She looked around and found this was sadly not the case as her male ally could be seen across the deck facing down facing down the last two boys standing. He strode over carefully watching the sprawled out forms of the enemy in case they decided to get up. His nose had been squished beyond recognition and there was blood around the edges of his mouth. But still he came to her side to look at her injured arm.

Adilliana could see the wheels turning inside his head as he look from her to the rope that allowed access to the anchorage. Suddenly she had been lifted off the ground and draped over the boys shoulder.

She instinctively struck out without thinking causing the pain in the arm to be redoubled. Adilliana tried to calm herself realising that the older boy was only trying to help. Wind whistled past them and the suddenly stopped as they arrived on an empty casinor. Gentle she was placed down why her rescuer looked around. When he seemed happy that they were safe he sat down next to her.

Adilliana was grateful for the new hiding place, and managed a weak Smile. Now once again safe curiosity returned as she look up at her defender.
“Thanks for helping me.” She stated in common adding “My Name is Adilliana East-wind. What is yours?”

Fighting Dirty (Adilliana) (Tiernan Switriver) (Lucy Tides)

Postby Lucy Tides on February 24th, 2013, 1:49 pm

Lucy watched Adilliana try to smile and she gritted her teeth because the sight was a bit much to bear. She was relieved when the boy who had come to help them came over. The boy was in no better shape then the rest of them with his nose beaten into a bloody pulp. Lucy watched him carefully eye the rope and then back at their injured comrade. He picked up the injured girl and walked over to the rope. He slung off his belt then went down it.

Lucy followed in suit by taking off her own belt and sliding down the rope. As she hit the deck of the empty casinor, she slung her belt off the rope and put it back in it's place. She sat down next to her new friends on the deck and listened to their exchanging of words before saying anything. Without patience, Lucy answered Adilliana's question first.

"I am Lucy Tides." She said and flipped a long black curl in front of her purple shirt. She looked down at her own hands now seeing that her knuckles were bruised and could tell that she had other random bruises across her body from the fight. She was thankful though that she had only come away with a few bruises and scratches whilst her friends came away with serious injuries. She wondered if they even knew how to treat their wounds because she had no idea how to.

Theo let out a muted chuckle and took a moment to check his teeth, giving each one a gentle little tug to ensure that they hadn't been knocked loose in the scuffle. Satisfied that he had escaped the brawl with his winning smile intact, he let out a playful sigh of relief and made his way over to the injured girl. He had no doubt that he was far from a calming presence. He knew that his eyes would be blood-shot from the scrap and he could feel that his left cheek was already badly swollen. The constant, stabbing pain of his badly smashed nose lead him to believe that it was probably an ugly break, and the fact that his mouth had been filled with a disgusting mixture of blood and saliva since the fight started suggested that the rest of his face was probably coated in a rather unpleasant cocktail. He was glad there were no mirrors around.

With his brief survey completed, he turned his attention to the two girls that had boarded the Casinor with him. The youngest of the pair, Adilliana, had broken her arm badly broken and he knew he had to get her to medical attention. The awkward angle, and the lack of colour to her skin made that much obvious to the otherwise medically clueless Theo. He was happy to see that Lucy had made it through the fight relatively unscathed. "Pleashed to meeb you. I'm D'eo Coasht'ryer."

With the adrenaline from the scrap quickly fading away Theo became acutely aware of the damage that had occurred around his mouth. The pain made it nearly impossible to speak effective and his sloppy mess of an introduction reflected that. "We shoulb ge' you help."

No! I meant to say, we should get you help!

Through the pain he furrowed his brow. He was already furious with his inability to properly formulate sentences. The prideful young Svefra decided that once he found out who those boys were, is retribution would be swift and brutal. But that would need to wait. "Luby, you fough' well. You shoul'be prow. Adi, was mo'ing painfull? 'An I cawwy you?"

No! can I Carry you!

If his face wasn't already red from the spatters of his own blood, it would be flush from his frustration to communicate clearly. He found himself cursing loudly and repeating his slurred statement's in his mind while he waited for a response. To help reinforce his point he pantomimed slinging her over his shoulder again. He knew that they couldn't be far from an occupied barge, and an adult that could help set her arm.

"Luby, can you hel' me fin' a shib with abults?"

Fighting Dirty (Adilliana) (Tiernan Switriver) (Lucy Tides)

oocI happy with how this is progressing, great show of intuitive Theo. I also have enjoy reading and writing this thread, it help me a lot to shape my character. Hope you are all well
Adilliana turned as the giant teenage girl landed on the Deck. She smiled happily at the fact that she now had a name to go with Lucy's face. Why she hadn't heard of the Tides family. She was happy to meet with one of their daughters. As Lucy moved along black hair to one side Adilliana was able to get that it will Lucy is friendly freckled face.

Both of the people who came to her defence took a moment to take stock of what injuries. They had acquired in the fight Adilliana was happy to note that apart from a few bruises Lucy seemed unharmed, and while the boys nose was definitely broken he still manage to laugh at her curiosity. Still despite his humour, it was obvious that they both needed a trip the healer.

Adilliana tried her best not to laugh when he finally answered that question as the state of his nose seem to be affecting his speech. Adilliana took a moment to silently shuffle through names common among the Svefra that could sound like D’eo.

“It's nice to meet you both. Thank you very much for your help Lucy and Theo.” Adilliana hesitated as she pronounced Theo as it was a guess, but luckily it seemed to be correct as the boy continued speaking. While it was hard to understand the words his intentions were very plain, the group needed to find some adults who can assist them with their injuries.

"Before we go anywhere I think we should have a look around here." Adilliana indicated the empty ship "it's more than likely that our attackers will try and follow us, so I suggest that arm ourselves maybe even change of clothes, so we won't be easily spotted."

Adilliana was used to try to avoid hostile groups and often did so by thinking ahead. However, she was the youngest of the three didn't want to seem ungrateful or rude so she quietly waited for Lucy and Theo's response

Lucy looked at Theo in awe as he spoke with his injuries. If it were her, she wouldn't have tried to speak at all but find something to write on. 'This young man is strong...' She listened carefully to his words as well as Adilliana's words and could feel her eyebrows raise when the little girl suggested to hide instead of find help. Lucy couldn't help but let a grin inch across her face at these two Svefras.

"I understand your concern Adi," Lucy said already giving the young girl a nick name without a second thought, "But we need to find help. The adults can not only protect us but help heal our injuries as well." Lucy said and looked around to see which casinor they had landed on. That's when she noticed the insignia for a tide on the door that lead to the below decks. 'We're on one of my mother's ships? Oh no! If she's see me like this I'm sunk for sure!' Lucy's pupils widened and her grin disappeared.

"I don't think anyone is on this ship, we should go find a different one, preferably one of your pods." Lucy said and got up from the wooden deck. She brushed off her pants not realizing that her cracked hands would leave blood behind. She looked around frantically. 'I hope to Laviku my mother isn't on this ship right now.' Noticing they were the only ones above deck she seemed to calm down a little bit but she bounced from one heel to the other in impatience. 'I want to get off this boat now.'

Theo took Lucy's strong interest in getting off of the vessel as a reluctance to re-engage with the bullies. He couldn't agree more. The sooner he had something to help numb the pain from his nose, the happier he would be. He took a moment to survey the area around him, and with some delight noted that they didn't seem to be followed, yet. They had climbed aboard a ship that was moored against one of the semi-permanent pieces of dock that formed the "bones" of the Anchorage. From here it would be relatively easy to make their way back toward the busier sections of the floating community. "I a'ree with Lushy. Hi'ing won' help. If we move qui'ly we shoul' 'e fine."

The boy was struggling with his hard consonants, but seemed less visibly frustrated with his ability to communicate clearly. Most of the boys wouldn't be in any shape at all to chase after the trio, Theo's little salt concoction would make it nearly impossible for them to do anything as acrobatic as slide down a rope. His uncle had hit him with with a similar trick the year before and Theo wasn't able to see straight for the better part of the following week, though his uncle had mixed in a few other ingredients. Besides, even if he wasn't about to admit it to his companions, the pain in his face was getting so severe that an hour squirrelled away hiding would be nearly as bad as another beating.

"Lesh 'o." Theo stood up quickly and looked to Adi with a lopsided grin. He was glad that the girl was holding up so admirably in the face of what must be a great deal of pain. He would happy to see her get some needed medical attention as well. He couldn't help but feel responsible for the girls injury. He was almost certain that the only way to resolve the earlier dispute was violent, but perhaps if he hadn't escalated things so quickly she might not be so badly injured. Oh well, that would be an issue to be handled in the future.

As he was lost in thought he noticed a soft rustling from within the cabin of the vessel. He couldn't be certain, the noise hadn't been particularly loud, but he could have sworn he heard a rustle and a thump of boots hitting the deck. "Shomeone ish 'ere?"

Fighting Dirty (Adilliana) (Tiernan Switriver) (Lucy Tides)

Postby Adilliana on March 3rd, 2013, 9:54 am

Adilliana try not to laugh as both of her companions suggested seeking out some adult's. If she had been on her own, She would have had no choice but to hide from attackers in which the adults to find her. This was no longer the case as she had friends. Adilliana smiled as both Lucy and Theo reassured her that she be safe. She believed both of them and nodded in agreement.

Silently, the party got to their feet moving toward the solid ground of the dock when a sudden noise around them. Adilliana watched as the earth fell back into a defensive stance demanding to know who was making the noise. Thanks to Adilliana night vision she could make out the shadow we forms of several people standing at the rear of the ship. Unfortunately, she could not tell whether they were friend or foe.

"Over there.” She stated softly raising her good arm point in that direction of the figures. "There are people standing in the shadows, but there not the boys who attacked us." She stated confidently.

Fighting Dirty (Adilliana) (Tiernan Switriver) (Lucy Tides)

Postby Lucy Tides on March 3rd, 2013, 1:30 pm

Lucy had followed her friends from the casinor to a grand ship which seemed to be close enough to the party boats to see the lights but not close enough to hear the noise. They stood still on the ship while conversing making the sudden shuffle of feet from the cabin obvious to hear. Lucy followed Adilliana's finger toward a group of shadows at the other end of the ship. 'I wonder if they came here to hide from little bullies to.' Lucy smiled to herself at the strange thought.

"Well since you can see them, I bet they can see us." Lucy said and waved the shadows to come over to them. "Might as well see if one of them can help us." Lucy said and watched the shadows carefully as they slowly made their way towards the group. 'I hope it's not more kids. Another fight is the last thing we need.'
