While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

Spring 1, AV 513

The time passed. Winter changed into Spring, a new year. It was the anniversary of the Valterrian. When the Moon arrived at the top of the sky it turned into red. It showed the new season, the new year and the terrible event which happened to Leth and with the world. The Moon's shine "painted" everything into bloody red. Everything was dark and scary. The trees were dancing for the winds and most of the animals went for their place to sleep. Some of them just arrived and continued their life under the red light. Eida and Arck was just walking around the forest and didn't do anything at this day.

As the Moon turned to red Eida felt the time went on and the season changed. She stopped walking and stood like a tree which had root on that ground. She changed but not in her form. Her white hair turned into silvery blue and her horns turned white from violet. She was again in these bright colours, in the colours she arrived and met Arckhebohn. But it was different now. She wasn't happy. She looked at the Moon, she looked at Leth. She felt deep sadness. Sadness for him, for the sacrifice, for his lover and for the loss. She was daughter of Leth and her priestess. She felt the pain what he felt. And she felt lonely even her Kelvic were at her side. Once she was walking with Leth in his realm but she was fall from it and lost her memories about everything. She never really cared for it. She saw this life for her new journey and continued to serve Leth. She looked at Arckhebohn with her sad eyes. She nearly dropped some tears too.

"Do you feel it too, darling? Do you feel his pain? Because I can. I feel I'm being alone here and I feel the pain of the loss, of his sacrifice. The terrible event which changed everything in this world. Even changed Leth and Syna and the realm we lived once and could walk with Leth at our side. Oh Moonfather... "

After her speech she kneeled down and prayed for him. She prayed for his peace and harmony. She put her wrist with the mark on her chest. It always reminded her to not forget why was she here.

It wasn't the first time when he saw the red moon. Actually if he counted it right it must have been the fourth time. His mother told him once why it is this colour and what is the meaning of it. But back then he was too young to understand it or even think about it. Every year in this time he remembered the story, and each year he understood it more and more from it. And the other thing what this meant is that it's the month of his birth. Though he knew it wasn't on the beginning of spring it still felt good for him. He loved this season because this is always about the beginning of the life. The flowers will bloom and there will be much more life then in the winter. And in the other hand he learned hunting in spring so he felt happy every year to test his skills.

As he was watching Eida changing he remembered the time when they first met. ~ When was it? About a year ago? ~ It seemed so close yet it felt that it was about 2 or more years away. The reason could be that as a Kelvic he somehow has a different sense of time. But he thought it because they are so close to each other like it was forever. He smiled in this thought then when he saw Eida how bad she feels. After her speech he was thinking about how bad could this feel to someone who keeps Leth so close to her heart. It must be really sorrowful like it would be her father. Well in one way he is her father. Just not in an ordinary way as Arckhebohn's. When she kneeled down he was thinking what he could answer to her. Should he pray too? But he has never done that before and he didn't understand what it means to pray. It was something which he was unfamiliar with. Then he thought the best thing what he can do: he kneeled down to and waited for her to look at him. Then he looked deep into her eyes with an understanding expression.

- I'm sorry how you feel but I think I understand it. This must have been hard for you. - then he was continued with smile - I don't feel lonely because you are here with me. Before you I never had anyone but now.. now you are the most important person in my life. And because of that I can't feel alone myself as long as you are here with me.

He was slowly nearing her then he kissed her forehead and hugged her. He wanted her to know that no matter how lonely she may feel, she is not alone. And that he never leaves her side and will protect her even if it costs his life. But he wasn't ready for this to say. He thought that it will be fine to just say this much. As he was hugging her he closed his eyes. It felt him good to just touch her and feel the warmth of her body. He was hoping that it will calm her soul down a bit and that he doesn't have to see her in this pain. This is the least what he wanted to do for her.

Eida felt good because the hug but it couldn't help her sadness. And it was good that she could give something to Arckhebohn. But she held both of his hands and took it down. She didn't want to hurt him but she thought it wasn't the right time for that. She didn't have the mood. She did touch the kelvic's face but then she put her hands on her chest and looked back at the moon. She continued the praying for Leth. It was all she could do.
The crescent moon on her wrist was shining. She used telepathy towards Leth.

"Leth, my god, my father
Who are you looking after?
It must be Syna, the sun goddess
You made her a promise
I did one too for you my Moongod
A promise with my tongue
So don't be sad my god
I'm here for you like all
I won't fail your light
I will be always kind
Even with this small body
I can do it my father"

After they prayer she let her arms down. She tried to accompany a strong feeling with these words. Sympathy. She didn't want to distrub Leth after it. She didn't want awsner, she just wanted to make a prayer for him. For Leth. The crescent moon mark was shining for a little bit more then it turned back to its normal status. But it was still luminous.

"Sorry my raven... Do you know about the Valterrian? About what happened with Leth? About our origins?"

She couldn't look at his eyes. She was still sad. She had melancholy. In this day she wasn't the excited woman who looks for a journey and excited to get know about everything about this world. She was still kind and calm but more serious. She changed for this day, she gave respect for the Moon.

It felt a bit bad for him when she let him go. But he knew in his soul and in his heart that he can't really help for her now. It's her thoughts and faith and he wasn't sure about it yet. He never forgets how his father taught him that only decides on things what he is sure about. Because especially in a hunt if he wouldn't be sure that he can get his pray then it could cost his life. He stepped back and watched her praying. From time to time he looked up on the moon and closed his eyes to feel the nature what surrounded them. There was something in the air in this night. Or it might have been just some delusion.

He noticed that around her arm the crescent moon was shining and he found it very beautiful. It felt like the sun's shine in a cold winter day. It doesn't make the weather that warm yet it somehow makes the person warmer. After it darkened he heard Eida's words but he didn't see her eyes. He thought that she was still under the weather.

- It's okay. It was years ago when I last heard about Valterrian. When I was a child my mother told me about it but I forgot many as the years passed. Could you tell me about it?

Eida closed her eyes. She felt the moon's light. She moved her right hands toward Arckhebohn who kneeled next to her. She reached and hold it. She still couldn't look at his eyes. She were gathering her thoughts then a big sigh. Her mouth openned so hardly as she didn't know how to start it. Eida squeezed the kelvic's hand. But she couldn't help she started it.

"As you know, I'm not familiar with my past either. I have only shards of it. Little shards. I don't remember and I won't remember at all. But it's okay. I'm here to help you to get your memories back. I only know a little about it. The Valterrian...the cataclysm... happened long time ago. I don't know much about it. I only know there were two emperor back then. And two lover, Syna and Leth found each othe before that terrible event. Syna the sun goddess, she could change Leth's wild and dark attitude. "

While she was telling the story Eida was smiling. Like she was there in that harmony. She held Arckhebohn's hand now softly. Eida could see Syna and Leth, the Sun and Moon together at one place. She missed the time when she could walk along with her moonfather. She continued her story about the lovers.

"Tanroa the goddess of time was searching something to mark the time which was passing. For Dira's the goddess of death, sister of Leth suggestion Syna became the Sun, Leth became the Moon. A perfect balance. The sunsets and the sunrises... it was so gentle how the lovers were so close each other while they were doing their duty. It could seduce you. Sometimes they left the world in dark. Once a year or maybe twice, when they were together for a day."

She felt so much warm within her chest and body. The begining of the story always made her like that. Her smile was brighter. She could turn her head for that very moment to Arckhebohn. She openned her eyes and she looked into the kelvic's eyes. Her eyes were shining as the story was so wonderful. But it wasn't last long. As she wanted to continue the story her smile disappeared. The next chapter was a little silence. She was looking down and lost the sight of Arck's eyes. She turned her head back to the Moon. She could cry now.

Seeing Eida telling this meant a lot to him. Though he didn't tell that his mother told this story to him he wanted to hear it from another perspective. And to hear her voice which was like a sing in this night for him. He was happy that he saw Eida smiling at first. As she held his hands he felt that Eida wasn't just talking about something. The words weren't empty at all. They were filled with emotions. It was so real that Arck would have thought that she saw it happening. And it was fascinating... yet so sad.

When she took a brake he had also something in his mind which was bugging him. ~ Memories... What are they? And how do they work? Is there a way to restore hers? Or is it impossible? ~ More and more questions ran through his mind without an end. It would have continued but then he heard Eida voice again and instead of thinking he was listening. It was like a love story. In short terms it really was like one but it affected the whole word. When she looked in his eyes and saw that sincere eyes he smiled too. But then Eida changed her expressions and so did him. He knew that the story's worse part is about to come.

- I have absolutely no idea what would I do if I could just only see you one day in a year. I would be so lonely without you...

One more thing really caught his mind: Tanroa. ~ The Goddes of Time? ~ Somehow it felt so familiar but not just from his mother's story. He heard that name from somewhere. It was almost like his memories about his parents - he couldn't remember well but he knew that something connects that goddess to his past. The word "time" sounded somehow excited to him. Until he was thinking about this he was waiting Eida to continue. He didn't know what feeling will be released but he was sure that it won't be happy ones.

She let out a little sigh. The part she didn't want has just come. She put Arckhebohn's hand on her chest. Before she continued she anwsered to him.

"They did see each other. As I said at the sunrises and at the sunsets... They were so close each other. And then... "

She couldn't continue for a minute. She had to gather thoughts again and tried to overreact it in her feelings. Eida got her power to continue it. The red moon were coming down while she was telling the story. The time didn't stop and the red night will come to an end, for a new day, for a new beginning but before that she could tell the story for Arck.

"But it came to an end. The terrible event came. Leth and Syna had to sacrifice nearly everything. Valterrian caused the loss of the chosen, the ethaefals. Leth could save Syna but the cataclysm costed a lot lifes... Syna and Leth left the world again in dark. But it didn't stay in that way. The Sun and The Moon came back with their light to heal the world from that tragic day. Everyday in that day Leth, The Moon goes red as a mark of the loss and the sacrifice he and Syna did. And that's their story and somehow our story too. I feel his feelings and understand his ways. And I try Syna's feelings and her ways. Even I can't enjoy her lights fully she is the Sun goddess and it's not only terrible for Leth but for her. Do you see it now my dear kelvic? Do you know why am I helping him and everything and everyone I love like I love him too? Why am I trying to be send and be his light for everyone's hope?"

She put Arkchebohn's hand down gently. She stood up and looked down to Arck. She didn't cry even she was sad. She looked seriously she had a duty and she made a promise. She was staring at the kelvic's dark eyes. She saw the hope there. She calmed down and turned toward the red moon. It was going down slowly as the night passed. The spring's first Sun will come. It will heal the red land and Leth too. The hope will come to them.

"Syna... heal Leth's and our wounds too...Our Sun..."She whispered and waited for the Sun like she never did before.

- I... I think I understand it now. - Even Arckhebohn didn't know why he just replied in this few words. He wasn't sure what he could say so he thought it was better to just say the simplier. He completely forgot that Leth and Syna could meet every day. It may be not for long but that few time could mean a lot - and he knew it because he loved Eida that much to feel how the gods might feel. ~ So that is love. Am I right? ~ He asked himself while looking up to Eida when she stood up.

He was sure that he won't forget this night. The night of the red moon with Eida. The difference between hers and his mother's story was the feeling what she had for them. And because of that even Arckhebohn couldn't really smile because the story of Leth and Syna was on his mind. He repeated Eida's words and imagined the happenings over and over again. A stronger wind finally made him realise that he was gazing the moon for minutes now and that he should stand up too to be near Eida. He blushed a bit then stood up.

He was thinking about how Eida said that it is their story as well. Was it really? He wasn't sure in anything now. When this night started he was kind of happy and excited what they will find but he has never thought that it will be like this. But he thought that it's all right. There are times when everybody has to stop for a minute to just think about the past and his or her life. What that person did and why. What was the reason and if something bad would have happened then what could make that man to continue it from the beginning? What is the reason to live? After his friend's last words he still felt one last thing to say:

- Eida - he said finally - I will help you to accomplish your goals.

He didn't wait for any answer. It was like he said it to himself to reassure his bond with the girl. It was a memorable day for both of them. And he was sure this was only just the beginning of something bigger.
