Another Exotic One........What is she?

Postby Tlazotinya re Jahrid on April 7th, 2013, 6:37 pm

As the male began to move away from her still form and towards the docks she shook herself, burying her emotions and sealing them away until she was blissfully numb. She then turned on her heels and began to catch up with him, her long legs allowed her to close the distance with ease. Her eyes scanned over his visage, seeing as how he seemed angry she stepped in front of him, her first set of arms crossing over her chest. ''You have no right to be angry, I simply reacted as I usually do.''

With that said she turned on her heels and began again making her way to the docks, she held herself as a woman of power. She knew who she was, and that was an Eypharian female, one of the oldest races. And if any told her otherwise, she would either kill them or ignore then seeming as they were not worth her time. She turned to glance over her shoulder at the male. ''Well are you coming, or are you just going to stand there with your mouth wide open?''

Another Exotic One........What is she?

Postby Khal'iah on April 7th, 2013, 6:59 pm

For an instant, a look of sheer confusion dominated the expression of the young warrior as she regarded the emotions he had displayed previously as anger towards her. He quickly raised his hands and shook his head, tossing about his dreadlocks as he stammered an apologetic reply. "No no no! That's not it at all! I wasn't angry at you I was just..." his voice trailed off at that point. The "dark" portion of an Akalak was generally something that was kept secret, except to those deemed closest by the individual warrior. This woman, despite his raising a blade in her defense, was far from reaching that status in his mind, so he conjured up something fitting to take the place of the truth.

"It really irked me that such dogs would attack you. Men are supposed to cherish and protect women, not abuse them in the streets."

Well, not only did he circumvent the truth that he was arguing with his "dark" persona, but he spoke a simple fact that he totally agreed with wholeheartedly. He was always taught to revere women, for without them the Akalaks cannot come into being, and as such harbored an intense distaste for any who'd raise a hand against a lady. That said, Khal'iah quickened his pace so that he could keep in stride with the foreign woman, his face now carrying a forced smile once again.

"Sorry for falling behind, let's go see that ocean!"

''You lie, there is something else that has angered you.'' She kept her eyes straight ahead, trained on the path before her. She was stating a simple fact, having caught the way he had paused for a fraction of time to think of the words he was to speak. Although him lying was of no concern of hers she was curious, what would have this warrior so irked that he had to force himself to smile.

''I understand the need of secrecy, trust me. But I also understand that when something is bothering you it is good to share it with others, sometimes it is even easier to speak with strangers then those who are closes to you.'' She said with a shrug of her slender shoulders, then upon reaching the docks her eyes widened. The vast blue ocean spread out before them, her face lit up with an exuberant smile. ''It is even more beautiful then I imagined.......'' Her voice was breathless as she stared out into the harbor.

'Busted!!' Ha'lik mused, and in that moment the same grimace gripped his face as previously. 'Ha'lik, for the love of Wysar, would you just keep quiet? For five minutes, FOR FIVE MINUTES?' he roared, filling his psyche with the sound of his aggravation. A simple shake of his head brought him back to reality; Ha'lik was indeed correct, he was busted, but thankfully the foreign woman was not making too large a deal over it. A sigh escaped the warrior's lips and silence overcame him as they completed the journey to the docks. Once there, Khal'iah found a waist-level post and leaned against it, his arms now folding across his chest as they habitually did.

"What angers me isn't something that can be shared with just anyone. I'm certain you can understand."

Khal'iah left it at that and allowed his eyes to wander over the sight that still took his breath away. Though cluttered with ships of all sorts and sizes, the water beneath them was crystal clear and Khal'iah could easily see past them and bask in the glorious ocean. The smell of salt saturated the air, the cooling breeze surged forth from the waters and cooled him; a welcome reprieve from the afternoon heat. Khal'iah just couldn't help but smile then, the ocean was just so...majestic that the mere sight of it always overcame whatever aggravations that were currently present and left him with a satisfied smirk plastered upon his visage.

"So," he began, addressing his new acquaintance, "is this your first time seeing the ocean?"

''Yes, it is. I have read about it but never had a chance to see it, that is also one of my reasons for coming to this city.'' The Eypharian's voice held a wistful lit to it, here eyes, which were usually cold and distant, were filled with awe of the beautiful sight expanding before her. She undid the of dark gold threaded fabric that held her hair bound, letting the sable locks fall free, they were caught in the wind. Whipping around her form as if having a life all its own, the colors were unique as was the rest of her, then when the wind settled the tresses fell past her waist, brushing the tops of her thighs.

She turned to look at the male, a warm smile only softened her features, and put more life into her eyes. It was strange to see her go from seething with anger to this exuberant childlike demeanor in a few moments of time. Considering her culture she found great pleasure in the sights of the harbor, she was barely containing her excitement.

''Is it always like this? So serene, yet full of life at the same time. I wonder what it is like at night? Is it beautiful? Is the water warm enough to swim? Would my arms get in the way of swimming?'' She asked one question after another. Wanting to know all there was to about the ocean.

Another Exotic One........What is she?

The sea was indeed an enigma at that moment: a powerful entity that, upon taking just a simple glance, would rob one of their anger and aggravation, replacing them with calm. Khal'iah chuckled to himself, noting the woman's flood of questions as amusing as he shook his head. 'Looks like the ocean has a good effect on everyone.' he said to himself, though praying that Ha'lik would keep to himself. Much to his surprise, the "dark" persona kept silent, but Khal'iah knew he was sitting back, watching...and judging...Nonetheless, Khal'iah's smile didn't waver. He was now in a decent mood and did his best to answer the numerous questions posed to him.

"Regardless of the time of day, the ocean is beautiful. Yet, it is at its absolute best when the sun sets right over the waters. The heavens are filled with so many colors, and they reflect off the sea...it's just breathtaking." he paused, taking a breath before continuing. "Well, it is Spring after all, I could only surmise that the water's warm...and to be perfectly honest, I think you may actually swim better because of the number of your arms. If you coordinate their movements in the right way that is."

With that said, a grotesque and, frankly embarrassing, noise filled the afternoon air. Khal'iah placed a hand upon his stomach as it growled, demanding sustenance. Unlike other races, namely Humans, the Akalak required a vastly larger sum of food that was required to maintain their rigorous training regimens. As such, they would eat several times a day; and Khal'iah had only eaten once. He needed to get some food in him, lest his physical condition and his mood go downhill.

Upon hearing his stomach growl she chuckled, then wrapped her cloak tighter around her form. She stepped closer towards the edge and then found herself situated on the ground, her feet dangling over the edge of the pier as she stared down into the crystal clear water. ''You remind me of Papa, he was always protective of me and Mama. He would always come to our rescues that was until I began to fight my own battles. I miss them both, but it is good to see that there are still men like Papa even in the most unlikely of places.'' Her voice had trailed off, her eyes were glazed over slightly as if she was in the past, which indeed she was. Tears were leaking out of the corner of her eyes but she ignored them, blaming it on the sea's harsh winds and not her own sorrows.

''Oh dear, I am sorry.....''She came back to herself, wiping away her tears that had leaked from her eyes, she then offered a soft yet sad smile. Her eyes had gone from exuberant and joyful to haunted and pain filled, this woman was truly something. If not in her physique then her personality and emotional turmoil.

Postby Khal'iah on April 7th, 2013, 10:57 pm

Khal'iah was silent for a few moments, his mind focused solely on the emptiness that was plaguing his stomach. Ah, he could just see it now...a hearty spread at the local inn. Meat, meat, and even more meat! The thought almost made his mouth water, but he was snapped out of his ravenous train of thought when the woman spoke. Silence ruled him as he listened to her equate him to her sire, an equation that Khal'iah was certain was meant as a compliment, but it still caused him to tilt his head out of confusion. Either she was exceptionally good at sizing up people, and therefore ascertained that Khal'iah was protective by nature, or that bump on the head did more than just hurt. Nonetheless, he took the compliment with tact, saying nothing of his internal confusion.

"Many thanks." he said, maintaining his trademark smile. With that, he stood up from the post, stretched his arms, and stepped forward. "Tlazotinya, I don't have much time for break. I'm sure my new employer will be wondering where I've wandered off to, and I've got to do something about this empty stomach of mine. If you're interested, you can accompany me to the tavern for something to eat. Afterwards, it back to patrol duty for me!" He offered his sword hand to her as to help her to her feet. "What say you?"

She startled slightly at the extended hand, reaching up with two of her left ones she gripped the single hand and allowed her body to be pulled into a standing position. ''That sounds wonderful, I have not eaten in quite some time, which may be a surprise considering I am of a race who tends to indulge.......''

Again the female's voice trailed off, she was too preoccupied with the ocean as well as her own thoughts to notice him much. She smiled warmly as it to say yes of course, but then it disappeared as she was sucked back into her own past. Emotions flooded across her gentle features, ranging from anger to confusion, but this all happened as she walked with the male, simply trusting him, if only a little to lead the way.

''Does it get cold often? Because I hate the cold, I am used to wearing light fabrics, not these thick and shapeless garments.'' She motioned to her own cloak, it was indeed a thick and shapeless thing, yet hid the expensive fabrics beneath.

Another Exotic One........What is she?

Postby Khal'iah on April 7th, 2013, 11:21 pm

Once the foreign woman was upon their feet, Khal'iah took it upon himself to begin leading the way through the city streets, bound for the local "watering hole". As they walked along, the young warrior noticed the myriad of emotions that splashed across Tlazotinya's face. Anger, Confusion, and everything in between played upon her countenance, raising Khal'iah's eyebrows as they walked along. 'T'would appear as though she is not too fond of her past, wouldn't it?' noted Ha'lik, pointing out the obvious. Khal'iah silently agreed, keeping his thoughts to himself lest he contribute to the flood of emotions the woman displayed.

"Well, it's Spring, so it only gets cold towards the evening. I think you'll be fine, as I'm sure you'll be at the Inn before it gets too chilly."

Once more, his attention was drawn to the expensive clothing the woman wore and, though he was never self-conscious about his attire before, he began toying with the idea of picking up a new outfit or two. Of course, as the thought crossed his mind, Ha'lik howled with laughter and filled his head with deragatory remarks until the tavern was within view.

"Ah, there it is!"
