Spring 2nd 513 AV
Morning, Foot Hills
It was a beautiful spring morning, well besides the grey clouds hanging low promising a spring shower. Nai’a made her way to the foot hills of Zeltiva, humming a small tune she heard played on a flute a few nights ago. She was not sure who the flutist was or exactly where they were, she just remembered her sensitive ears picking up the beautiful melody, and it had stayed ingrained in her mind.
As she found her way to the foot hills, she saw the numerous wild flowers in an array of colors, stretching up to the sky begging for the rain. The sight was beautiful, erasing all the negative thoughts that raced through her mind. It was a new year after all, it was time things changed, time for new adventures.
Nai’a stood there, looking out over the foot hills. It looked as if a rainbow had grown on the ground, with all the magneificant colors that were in bloom. Azure blues, scarlet reds, canary yellows, salmon pinks, Lavender purples, and Crimsons. The amazing vista made her heart beat with renewed hope. ”It is going to be a beautiful season.” Nai’a whispered to herself, urging her feet to enter the stunning garden of nature.
She wanted to pick a few of the flowers to take back to Mistress Clara during her shift at the Infirmary, Nai’a hoped it would brighten up the woman’s day a little. She had seemed down at the amount of individuals who had passed away in Zeltiva, so was Nai’a. They tried to save and heal as many lives as was possible, it was a struggle, a fight, in a way they both lost and won that war. There may have been a lot more lives lost if it had not been for their effort, but the fact still remained that a large chunk of the population of Zeltiva was gone.
Nai’a banished the negative thoughts, A new year, a new adventure she told herself with a bright smile as she bent down and picked a few of each of the lovely colored wild flowers. She brought them up to her nose sniffing lightly with her sensitive nose, inhaling the different aromas of the flowers. Mistress Clara will love these Nai’a thought with a bright smile on her face. She always wanted to lift other people’s spirits, make a smile appear on their face. After all, kindness, smiles, hugs, and love were all free in life. Why not give them out to everyone you met?
The bright smile stayed on the healer’s face as she bid farewell to Nature’s secret garden, not really wanting to leave, but needing to get the flowers to Mistress Clara before they began to wilt. This New Year was a time for new adventures, new people, and of course change. Nai’a left the foot hills and went straight to the infirmary to lift her mentor’s spirits, hopefully.
