Character Description
Nai'a's pale skin is completely hairless with a soft rubber like texture to it. She has long, bright pink hair, that reaches to the top of her buttocks. Her hair is sometimes straight, sometimes wavy curls, just depends on her mood. Her eyes are a very dark grey, looking so black from a distance that one can not see the black pit in the center. When one gets up close though, they can see the true color of her eyes. She stands at 5 feet, and weighs 110 pounds. Due to her excessive swimming she has built up good muscle tone, but still soft and feminine. Her voice is a calm, soft, almost sing-songy tone, that is really girl, laced with unintended seduction. Due to her Kelvic form not having skin glands, Nai'a in human form does not either, so she doesn't sweat and is odorless in the since of body odor, otherwise if she is exposed to things in the environment (like rolling in the dirt) she will have a scent to her. Noticable marks should be her piercings, gnosis mark if arms/shoulders are exposed, and the thin scar around her neck from wearing a collar as a slave, if the throat/neck is visible.
Her eye sight is not that great, better than what it is in her Kelvic form, but when she gets older she will definitely need glasses. She has two piercings, one being her nose the other her naval. Her naval has a small vertical fish bone, that has a small shell dangling from it and her nose has a ring that Nai'a made out of a fish bone. She has to take these out before she changes into her Kelvic form though. She also wears one piece of jewelry and that is her former bondmate's concealer ring, she wears it on her right middle finger. It has ornate red stones on its silver toned surface, and a secret compartment. Nai'a does well in cold weather as well as warm weather, but not as well as her Kelvic form can.

Nai'a is a fresh water dolphin, or a river dolphin, so her pink color comes from swimming in murky waters. She can swim in salt water, but prefers fresh water. Her snout is much longer than that of a salt-water dolphin, about 3 feet long, and she has more maneuverability than a salt water dolphin, that helps with her hunting in the water. She can move her head 180 degrees, and move her body better than salt-water dolphins can.
When using echolocation, she can move her head from side to side, scanning the area. She is less social than most dolphins, the pink river dolphins usually keep to themselves until they want to socialize and then they seek out socialization. She can not see that well in her Kelvic form, she relies on her sense of hearing and touch to hunt. River Dolphins also have a brain 40% larger than that of humans, making them intelligent creatures and it is easier for them to understand and learn complex languages than it is even for humans. Nai'a in dolphin form has a thin lining of blubber, that helps keep her warm while swimming in cold waters, since blubber is not heavy it also does not weigh her down while swimming. Blubber for dolphins is like a winter coat for furry animals. While swimming Nai'a can reach up to 20mph speed in water, a little slower than that of the salt-water dolphins.

The Story
Character History
Nai'a was born into slavery, wearing a collar and usually shoved into a cage. During those 6 months( 2 seasons) she was at her multiple masters disposal. She kept sane though. By holding on to the dreams that lived inside of her, so she could live through the nightmare of her life. She was usually shoved into a small cage, viewed as a freak because of her unusual hair,eyes, and the weird swirling shimmering sigils that were upon her shoulders swirling down to her hands. The slavers did not know that this was actually the mark of Rak'Keli, they were dumb when it came to anything besides sex, abuse, money, and ale. She spent those 6 months on the brink of starvation, watching others around her being abused physically and sexually at a Auction House. Nai'a had accepted the fact that this was her own fate as well, when she became older. Then one day she was in her cage, while the slavers started selling some of the older useless woman, broken in spirit, mind and soul from their constant abuse. An older man came up and peered into her cage, winking at her, Nai'a scooted as far away from the older man as she could. The man frowned then looked at her weird markings, shock appeared on his withered face as he stared at the marks, then he nodded and walked off. Nai'a was proud of her marks, she knew what they were and where they came from, she would never be ashamed of being marked by Rak'Keli.
Then the fat slaver came up to her cage, unlocking it. Nai'a did not move, waiting to see what he wanted of her. The man pulled her out of the cage by her shimmering pink hair, cussing at her as he drug her on the ground a few feet, depositing her at the feet of the mage. He looked at her with a sad face, placing a finger over his lips, indicating for her to hush. She did not realize it but she was whimpering, it had became a habit she supposed. The mage lifted her to her feet, stroking her hair softly, fixing the mess the best he could with his hand. Nai'a just stood there in an awkward shocked silence, no one had ever touched her with such kindness before. The man ushered her to his wagon and horse, telling her he'd be back. Nai'a sat there obediently waiting for her new master to return. There was a loud bang and fire rose into the sky, she saw the older man running away from the fire, hoping into the wagon and speeding off. Later on that day she found out that he was a mage, a kind, loving mage.
She was raised by that older mage, whom she bonded with, and as she grew older the bond grew stronger. The mage thought her special since she held the marking of Rak'keli, she was a healer and needed to be taught properly. Through the strong bond forged between her and the mage, Nai'a could always tell when he needed her and what he was feeling. They lived in Riverfall, that way Nai'a had fresh water to swim in. She could swim in salt water, but it was easier on her to swim in fresh water. The mage taught her many things, he taught her how to read and write, just like any other normal human child would learn. He also taught her magic and hand to hand combat to defend herself, as well as what he knew of medicine and herbalism. He was like a father to her and she a daughter to him. The mage never married anyone, he devoted his time to his studies, magic, and Nai'a. Nai'a asked him several times why he did not find a mate, someone to keep him company, and he simply replied "I have you." This filled Nai'a's heart to the rim, to be needed and loved by another was a beautiful thing, and to need and love another.
At the Kelvic age of 1 her bondmate passed away at the age of 50. He died peacefully in his sleep, or so Nai'a thought until she found traces of a poison herb potion at the corners of his mouth. Nai'a was heart broken, she could not understand who who'd hurt her bondmate. He was a kind man, always helping others out. The mystery plagued her, she had to get the bottom of his murder somehow. When she was done mourning her bondmate she began to travel the lands. Searching for those who had killed the only father she knew, the only person who had ever been kind to her.

Meka
Meka is a tiny monkey, about 2 inches long and 5ilbs in weight. He is highly intelligent, sometimes shockingly so. He is pretty well attached to Nai'a and does not like to be left alone, unless he has food, food makes him happy. If Meka does not like someone, he lets Nai'a know this in his little monkey squeaks that she likes to call "monkey curses." Meka is pretty good at judging character, he wants to protect Nai'a, but he is a little scared ball of fur most of the times. That is not to say you will not receive a "monkey curse" from him, he just prefers to do so on Nai'a's shoulder. Meka is not a PET to Nai'a, he is a friend, a companion, someone she can always come to with her problems, even though she can not understand him it feels better to come to another animal, someone who can understand her on a level others can not.
