The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Beginning of the End

32th of Fall 512 A.V

The wizard was pleased with himself. After working as a Reimancer and being a student, he had a nice pay out. Enough for him to go splurging for information, which was quite necessary for him to be an adept wizard.

He had found himself a rare and exquisite book written in the ancient tongue and the common language. It was eloquently written to. Called the "Beginning of The End." With information on how old glyphing information and new glyphing information correlated.

He spent a considerable amount of time and money finding this book, fortunately Zeltiva wasn't the only place you can find information from. So he sat himself down in his apartment room. Gathered his supplies and began to practice the basic forms of glyphing that he saw from the book. The new glyphs weren't all that different from the older ones he noticed.

Moreover the purposes were usually different for different types of glyphs. Alduin couldn't really wrap his head around it fully, he would have to study the book more. He spent the next few hours pouring over the little details about glyphing. He he drew many small ones, especially one on both his hands. He would be channeling his Res later.

It was after a while of backtracking that he noticed something. It was hard to put together because the way the story was presented but it was of a specfic chapter in the book. Of how a man many centuries ago who was adept at making glyph seals last a considerable amount of time, was asked to demonstrate his ability.

It was only this one time and no one knows the name person or the purpose in which his talent was needed for. But it was the surrounding area in which the book described which piqued his interest. It sounded oddly familiar.

Alduin took an hour break and returned to his studies. Drawing each glyph in a manner so that it could be his own signature glyph. That proved harder then expected but he kept at it influenced by the books teachings.

Beginning of the End

By next morning there were no classes for him that day so he went back at it with his studies. He opened up the book and brought in some more supplies he had gotten to after he had done his job cleaning. The benefits of working in the studies were small, but there were some at least.

So he began the process he had started yesterday. Alduin's hands started to get a small cramp after a while. He had been drawing and designing glyphs constantly for the past hour. Thinking to take a small break. He dropped his quill and went to look for the chapter mentioning the man. Said the mans name was Denes.

It was harder to decipher since it was in the Ancient Tongue but Alduin was starting to notice exactly what the text was describing in the area he went to. Somewhere in the west coast, and was home to many unique flora and flauna.

There was one place he knew better then anywhere, where there was home to many unique flora and flauna. But surely it was a coincidence, however it did say the west coast.

What also happened to be in the west coast that had an abundance of flora and flauna that he absolutely knew of was an area not far from Lhavit. It was apart of Lhavit culture so he knew a lot about the place. The Misty Peaks.

If it was even true, there had to be a really good reason why Denes would come all the way to the furthest reaches of the west coast, only to demonstrate his glyphing techniques to someone. But he could make head nor tail of it. But it was definitely fishy. He would get back to that as he started to put more work into glyphing.

It was still taking a long amount of time for him to even draw the most basic glyphs. But he was definitely making improvement to his great pleasure. A big stack of parchment began to pile itself neatly beside him. He would make a scroll when he felt the necessary time was put into his craft.

As he began to become fed up with the tediousness of the drawing, he decided to take another break. It was time to do some conservative digging on this piece of information. He leaned back in his chair and began to ponder deeply as he had these past few days. If his hypothesis had merit to it, then the bigger question lay with the person who contracted him.

What am I actually looking for? Glyphing can be used for other purposes besides helping other disciplines. It can also be used as a form of protection. Long term protection. The fact that he came all the way from Riverfall is banking on the importance of the contract and the amount of money for it.

No trip like that is without good reason for people without the means to defend themselves in those dangerous times.

He shook his head, and went back to drawing glyphs, this mystery was nagging him.

Beginning of the End

The burning curiosity seemed to subside after a minute. He literally didn't have anything to go on but speculation. And speculation was enough to lead you into trouble in the world of Mizahar. So time was no of no consequence, Alduin went pounding away at the parchment making more glyphs.

He tried making markings over his room. It didn't quite work out how he envisioned and it was ultimately a failure. But he was happy with the progress he was making. In due time he would be working on more craftier objects. Such as scrolls. Scrolls were important for a Wizard.

In order to gain the type of dream that Alduin wanted, he had to widen his knowledge. Glyphing wasn't necessarily apart of a power-mongers repitore of skills but it was in Alduin's book. He was hungry for knowledge. Haha, I could eat the world. It was a funny thought, but that thought would follow him a lot longer then he expected.

After spending another day of glyphing he thought it was time to take a rest. He did not want to make his hand go numb. But he still couldn't quite eat it down. Something was up with that text. And he had to do find something ahout it or it drive him insane. So he gathered his materials and went to find answers hopefully.
