Michaela Winter AV 505 (7 years old)

As far back as Michaela could remember it was just her and her grandparent. As much as she tried to remember her parent she couldn’t even picture them in her head. Her parents had died when she was about a year and a half. You would think that she would remember something about them but she couldn’t. Michaela’s grandparents always told her about her mom and dad all the time. How they fell in love, how much they loved her and so on and so on. All she knows is that her mother was dead, they don’t know why, how or where. Except that one day they found her dead and half torn up body on the front lawn. Then Michaela’s dad killed himself about 6 months later because he couldn’t stand being around her grandparents or around Michaela which she guesses she couldn’t blame him for since everyone said that she looks exactly like her mom in every possible way, except that she has her father’s eyes and hair. Michaela was upset. She couldn’t remember not one single thing. She told her grandparents that when she was older she was going to find out who (s), or what killed her parents and her grandparents believed her. Michaela could remember the hard night and days of training with her Grandfather but he also remembered all that her grandmother had taught her. A lot of Zith looked down on Michaela and her family, not because of what happened but because they were different then all the other Ziths.

Michaela’s family didn’t have slaves, they didn’t hunt people unless they absolutely needed to, they didn’t use themselves to make other people fear them. Sure they would if it was necessary, but unlike most Zith they liked outsiders and tried to get to know them and befriend them. Michaela has great pride on how she was raised but sometimes she wonders on how things would be different if her parents had raised her. She missed not being able to really know them, of course she has met them but she couldn’t remember any of it at all and sometimes she wished she did. Not that she hates her grandparents, not that was not the case at all, she loves them as if they were her own very parents, which they were, but they didn’t give birth to her, but every now and then she found herself thinking about what had happened. She also wanted to know if her dad’s death really was sucicidal or whoever (s) or whatever (s) killed her mom, made her dad’s death just look like a suicide and Michaela’s life mission was to meet friends, and possibly people to help her figure this out, and to find out who killed her parents.

Michaela’s journey started out long and harsh. She didn’t have much to go on as not much was found out. Just how they were killed and when they were killed. Not even how they were killed gave them many clues because anyone could have done it. Michaela believed that it was an animal or some race having animal instincts but then as she did more research and asked questions she learned that humans and many races can kill like animals and mimic exactly how an animal would kill someone, so that put her back to square one.

Michaela then found kinda of a lead or more of a hunch that she should start in Sunberth. The more that she learned about the Sunberth the more it made sense to her that that is where she should start. Sunberth was known to the most horrible of people, high crime, mobs, gangs, bad people galore. Sunberth didn’t really have many rules either, that is why a lot of bad people fit in there. But Michaela knew deep in her heart that her search was not going to be an easy one. Her killers weren’t going to be in the very place that she looked. She hoped that along the way she would meet people that would help her and that she would find leads as to what had happened. Maybe someone would hear people bragging about it or something. Maybe even possibly she could make her experience better, learn new things and get help from the many people that she hoped to meet on her way. One thing that Michaela knew for sure was that she was not going to let herself die until she found out who had done this to her parents. End of story. Her story, her life would not end, no matter what pain, what battles, what torture she had to go through to know the truth about the murder of her parents.

So on the 15th of Winter 505, Michaela packed her bags and went down the stairs to hug her grandparents goodbye.

“Good-bye, I must go now and find out what I must know, I will try and keep in touch with you the best that I can, and I promise that I will never forget you guys, the lessons you have taught me, or the life that you have given me. Know that I must do this for my own peace of mind and when I find out who it is I will let you know.” Michaela said to her grandparents as she hugged them both tightly and then made on her way.

Without a glance back she left, she knew if she looked back she wouldn’t want to leave, and this is something that she had to do. She hoped though that she found who had killed her parents so she could bring her grandparents a peace of mind before they died.

Michaela set out on her journey. It was hard to stay warm in the winter, it was hard to fly through the snow with the wet snow, even through non-wet but very thick snow. Michaela knew one thin for sure that she was going to Sunberth first. Michaela learned that she didn’t have much money so she stayed in the most horrible places but she knew she had to do it. She had to stay alive. Her grandmother always told her that she had the will of a Lion. She knew this to be true. Once Michaela had her mind set on something, that something was going to get done. Michaela made the hard and long struggle to get to Sunberth. She knew that when she got there, if they let her in, that it would be much easier.

I must not concentrate on that right now. I must concentrate on the task at hand and that is getting through this blasted weather to get to Sunberth.

The weather was quite horrible as far as Michaela could remember ...
Michaela was happy that Zith were pretty strong no matter what the weather was, although the snow and wind were starting to hurt her face a little bit she knew that she would be okay. her main task was to make it to Sunberth.

Michaela remembers searching through her mother's room when her grandparents were out because they didn't let her go in there to touch stuff because her parents were dead, they were gone, and so that meant that her stuff was not allowed to be touched; although at night she could hear her grandparents going in there and crying while going through her stuff when they thought she was sleeping.

Did they know something that they were not telling her? Did they know why her mother got killed and then why her father got killed? Did they know why the killers were going to come back and get her? She never thought to ask them before she left.

Michaela remembers going outside when she heard her grandmother screaming and seeing their bodies dead on the ground. She remembers the note that said they were coming to get Michaela in 5 years. She remembered stuff that was not going to really help her right now.

In Michaela's pocket though she had a note that she had found in her mom's room. The note said:
1: start in Sunberth
2: Endrykus
3: Kenash
4: Zeltiva

Well she was on her way to Sunberth. Not sure who she would meet there, or what would happen but she knew that she would find some clue at some point in Sunberth and that made her a little excited, she just hoped that whoever or whatever could help her that was here hasn’t left or moved on.

The Beginning of the Whole Thing

Postby Michaela Abendroth on April 25th, 2013, 11:47 am

Michaela just wished that this journey would be over. The snow was starting to bug her more and more the more that she had to walk in it. IF she could fly through this horrible thick stuff then she would, but the snow sticks to her wings and thus making it pretty hard to fly in and if she flies too high then it turned to ice on her wings which makes it even worse to fly through and so, as she continues on her journey she is not happy

-----------------------------

A couple days before arriving in Sunberth

The weather was starting to clear up and it was getting easier fr Michaela to walk the rest of the journey. Michaela was hoping that her wings would dry enough so that she could fly the rest of the way to Sunberth. Michaela knew that she was close because she could see the outer side of the city but she knew that she still had a couple days of travel left before she would actually reach the city, but if she could fly at least most of the way there and just stop a little outside of the city as not to be seen then she would be happy and she would know that she would be safe from ones that would try and shoot her down while she was in the sky. Michaela had done some research and talked to some of the other Zith in her city and at the Castle XY to learn what she needed and that they would shoot her down at any chance that they would get. Michaela did not want that to happen at all, so she remained walking, but hopefully her wings would dry soon and she could fly at least for a little bit. Her legs were getting very tired as she has been walking for a VERY long time.

Michaela seen that the city was getting closer and closer. Michaela went off of the road that she was following to the city and looked for a comfy place to sleep in. Michaela knew that if she didn't give her legs a rest and her mind that she wasn't going to make it any futher. Michaela finally found a nice tree to stay under, where she would be out of the sun. Michaela sat down and took off the cap to her waterskin and started to drink some water from it. As bas as Sunberth sounded, she knew she would be okay there as long as she played her cards right, and also as bad as Sunberth sounded, she could find a place to stay there and she could fully rest and start to make her aching body feel better. Oh I cannot wait. Michaela thought to herself and soon passed out under the tree.

-----------------------------------

The Next Day: 2 days from Reaching Sunberth. It had been 58 days of traveling in horrible weather. Okay that was a lie, the last week wasn’t too bad, but Michaela just wanted to get into a warm bed and know that she could get a somewhat peaceful and okay sleep. Better than the sleep that she was getting out here. Michaela stopped and checked her wings; they seemed okay. Michaela then tried to fly. Michaela’s wings felt much better now that she could stretch them and flap them without them having to stay folded at her side. The weather was definitely clearing up more as she got closer to the city and as the weather was starting to get warmer. Michaela decided that she would walk until after she found something to eat and then she would rest for a bit more, she really needed the rest; especially for when she was to walk into a new city as a Zith. Michaela hoped that the city wouldn’t cast her out right away, but maybe they would welcome her with open arms because she was a Zith. Either way she was going to find a way into there, whether they liked it or not.

Michaela soon started to feel hungry. She looked around and listened closely to see what kind of animals were near by and which ones would be easy for her to catch. Michaela didn’t hear much, so she found a patch of berries and some mushrooms and she started to eat those. She ate as much as her stomach would let her and then she found some shade in a tree a couple of feet off of the path. No one would see her here, and she wouln’t be noisey enough for them to hear her. She put her pack behind her head and slowly but surely drifted off into a sleep. It wasn’t going to be a very restful one, probably filled with nightmares and bad dreams, but any sleep was better than no sleep, and then tonight she would fly closer to the city and hope that she could make it there before the sun came up; but the likely of it was that she wouldn’t because she still had close to a day and a half before she got to the city.

Michaela fell asleep pretty fast and didn’t get to think about much, which is good, maybe tonight will be a peaceful night for her.

The Beginning of the Whole Thing

Postby Michaela Abendroth on May 8th, 2013, 3:46 am

That night was not as peaceful as Michaela thought it was going to be.
Michaela had a horrible time sleeping, she kept waking up to the horror of seeing her parents dead, and always in different ways. Michaela had a very restless sleep. Michaela sighed after about 5 hours of not very good sleeping, she decided that she might as well continue on her way. It was pretty much fully dark outside now and she would be able to get in with no trouble at all. Michaela put all her stuff back into the back that she was carrying and then flew up into the air. It was pretty much silent and a peaceful night. Michaela got closer and closer to Sunberth. Michaela stopped on the ground and decided whether she was going to walk in or if she was going to fly over head and find a place around where she could land without being detected.

Michaela had decided that the best thing to do would be to fly over head and then find a place to land. Like a tall building or something else where she would still be out of site. Sunberth was always a busy place whether it was night time or day time and she didn't want to get shot down. That would be a horrible way to start this and to possibly die without finding out anything.
Michaela was flying over top of the city and she found a very high apartment building to land on top of and not many people were there and the people that were around were distracted and they didn’t see her land on top of the building.

Once Michaela landed on top of the building she started to figure out how she was going to get down from the building undetected. Michaela was proud that she managed to get there without any one seeing her. Michaela then walked around the whole building and then found a ladder at the back of the building and proceeded to climb down it. Once she was on the ground Michaela knew she had to find a safe place to stay. Michaela walked around the back alleys and looked around for some place that would be safe for her to sleep. Michaela seen a homeless drunk guy. Oh how long it had been since she had had any blood in her system and the long travels here had her thirsty. Now she knew that Sunberthians probably wouldn’t do anything about it, but just in case, she knocked the drunk homeless man out and she then carried the homeless man to the top of a building. Michaela then started to eat the homeless man that she had taken. Michaela was almost finished when she seen some lights aiming down the alleyway that the building was at the end of. Michaela slowly and carefully moved to the end of the building and watched to see what the people would do.

Once the people were happy with what they were looking for they turned around and walked back down to the starting of the building. Michaela then went back to eating her dinner that she had just caught. Michaela finished what she was doing and wrapped the bones in some cloth that she had n her bag and put them back into her bag and continued back down the building. Michaela would find a dumpster and depose of the bones later. Michaela was pumped full of energy and adrenaline now that she had finally ate, and all of her sense were working in full force, so if trouble was to come about her she would be prepared for it.

Michaela then looked around to see if she could see any signs that would lead her to a place where she could stay tonight. Michaela didn’t have very much money on her, but she knew there was a place where she could stay without having to pay anything. Her grandparents told her about it. Michaela was now searching for this place. Michaela was looking around for someone that would be able to help her with what she was looking for, but she wasn’t sure how they would react to her. Michaela was then looking around when she noticed someone that was just sitting there staring off into space, and he had looked at her and not said anything.

“Do you know where the place is where I can stay without having to pay too much?”
Michaela had asked the man.
“There is a place that is two streets down and then to the left, it is called the Sunset Quarters.”
The man replied to Michaela while looking like he was going to Shyke in his pants.

Michaela was laughing in the inside; it was funny how so many people thought the very worst of her, although she wasn’t like most Zith, she actually gave people a chance before she reacted to them she had a feeling that it was going to be pretty interesting while she was here, although Sunberth welcomed mostly anyone, she had a feeling that Zith still weren’t that welcome.

Michaela found the Sunset Quarter’s and she went in and got a room and then tried to sleep restfully. There was so much that was to come and she needed at least just one restful sleep. Michaela hoped that because she finally had human blood in her that she would be able to sleep much better.
