Aradia scrunched up her nose, and stuck her tongue out at Alori for teasing her. But she wanted to help in any way she could, to learn, to better herself in something that was more beneficial than singing. Though she adored singing, and was thankful to Rhaus for all he has done for her, she still wanted to round herself a little more, to be able to do something when she wasn’t performing.
Aradia smiled, happy to be hunting and using her short bow. She nodded her head, ”Good. I don’t wanna mess with piss no more.” The singer said with a little chuckle, following her friend , leaving the traps behind and heading in a different location of the traps. Aradia kept her eyes opened scanning the area for movement as they walked, then Alori asked her where she learned to sing. Aradia’s face lit up and a warm smile grew on her face at the memories of her father. ”My father was a snowsong. Snowsong is the hold in Avanthal where people lived that has anything to do with music and instruments. He taught me to sing, to pass time away in the city of tents. It did get quite boring at times for me, since I did not enjoy the same activities they did.” Aradia shrugged her shoulders, and walked on, looking around.
They walked in silence for a little while, when Alori mentioned a bear in an exclamation, pointing in the distance. Aradia jumped and squealed a little, running and pushing Alori in front of her, cowering behind her small friend. Then she realized there was no bear and she smacked her friend’s shoulder playfully, ”Don’t do that to me! My heart almost stopped beating!” Aradia said between gasps of breath, laughing softly.
Her laughter died down, and her friends attention went elsewhere. She leaned down and stepped forward quietly, like a predator stalking a prey. Then she called Aradia over asking her if she could make the shot. Aradia shrugged her shoulders, and grabbed her bow, knocking a arrow and arming it towards the little cute hare nibbling on some foliage. Aradia pulled the bow string back till it was at her jaw, keeping a firm yet loose grip, and keeping her body fluid; she released the arrow in one quick movement. The arrow whistled through the air, hitting the rabbit on it’s leg. The rabbit of course jumped in the air and leaped off. Aradia was not sure whether to follow or not, and looked to her friend for some advice, holding her hands up in apology. |

Aradia's shot was good for someone who admitted that they needed practice. She had wounded the rabbit in the leg which would slow it's speed a good measure. The little huntress nodded to her companion to follow their prey and headed off ahead of her. "I think you got it's leg so it won't be as fast. Best if we don't make a lot of noise and maybe we can catch it off guard." It was one of the things she learned about hunting, animals would slow and stop once they think they are safe, and one that was wounded might stop even faster given the pain they'd have.
Aela moved slowly through the brush, looking back towards Aradia to make sure that she was close by. She noticed tiny blood splatters on the ground every couple of feet and followed the trail for as far as it went. The huntress paused for a moment, getting her friend's attention and pointing down towards the blood drops so that she would know what they were doing, before she continued on.
"You know, if we get this rabbit and both the traps work, we could make a good profit back in the city. Maybe enough for some fancy stuff."
The trail would end soon, but Aela didn't see the rabbit in sight. It wasn't something that she could explain easily and there were many reasons for why and how it got a way. Still, she was hoping to help Aradia to catch this one for her first hunt. Suddenly there was a shuffling in the bushes nearby and as she looked closer, she noticed a small grey blur in the corner between the trunk of a huge tree and bushes.
"Hey, I think that's it, you wanna try again?"

OOCOnce Aradia returns, she can resubmit this for grading and I can give her her part of the grade.Additional Comments:Aradia- I love how she reflects a lot on the power of music, how strong it is eventhough conflicts are resolved without bloodshed. Beautiful introspection there.
Alori- You did a good job teaching Aradia about tracking and hunting; I tried to award you as much as I could.
The read was really good, guys. The friendship is clearly seen between Aela and Aradia and this kinds of interactions can really make the relationship flourish, make that bond a little stronger; that's why I gave you both one of the same lore.
