Time Stamp: 1, Summer, 513 AV
Location: The Docks, (Nitrozian Plaza, near the NHC Office)

A young man with a triangular frame paces around the dock with a hard expression upon his face. His rough hands were firmly by his side, swaying just a bit as he walked. His gaze was poisoning and filled with... Confusion. The thoughts sprinting across his mind did not match the hatred he seemed to express. No, he was just focused. He was doubting his commitment to the plan he had risen. It took one glance at the bracelet on his wrist to break down the wall he tried to uphold. His expression weakened to knitted eyebrows that revealed fear. He had stolen for the first time. From his mother, he took a leather bracelet with intertwining beads and charms of silver. It had belonged to her first lover. The very man that died at his father's feet. When he had stormed out of his home with all of his things, out of rage he had grabbed it off her dresser. Now, he began to regret it. This was the first bad thing he had ever done.

Galilee paced at a higher speed due to the stress that weighted him down. The more he thought of his sin, the more he panicked. He couldn't help but feel that he had betrayed his own morals. Whatever that would happen to him now, he knew it was karma and he deserved it. His boots came to a halt as he riveted his gaze away from the ground. Many humans were out for a stroll today. A few gave him harsh, condescending sneers. Galilee scowled in their presence but didn't dare say a word. The group of men that passed him, fluffing their cloaks as they did, were the sons of the parents who cursed his father. Galilee was lucky not to have been spit on this time. He wasn't very popular in Ravok and that was half the reason it had been a desire to leave. He just had one problem. He couldn't leave without someone to travel with. The wilderness was dangerous and Galilee rather not be killed any time soon.

Galilee squinted at the NHC office. He was tempted to buy a small cubicle for the low price. It was a great way to start out in Ravok for new visitors to get settled. However, Galilee was determined to leave Ravok, no matter what obstacles he might face. He took a small break, he had been walking for a few hours. He sat at the edge of the canal and swung his legs off the side, letting them dangle loosely. His hazel eyes switched directions from the housing to the distance ahead. He slouched, relaxing his disturbed spirit, watching small boats sail away from the docks. He let out a content sigh, woefully wishing he could be on one of those boats.

It's Time to Move on [Golden Amur]

Golden Amur

Golden Amur look at magically clear water right near her. She sat close to the water feeling it occasionally lightly splashing her toes. Only memories the blue liquid brought was the one of her master floating in the canals. With simple people just simply walking by without a care in the world. Did they even notice my master? Probably not, Ravok's citizens worry for themselves. Why take their time with a dead body. No one really knew the master anyway.

The kelvic focused back on the object laying on her lap. A small black leather journal open to it's first page. The pages were flavored with 40 years of experience. The powerful statements were written with care and perfection. Everything about master is perfect. Amur nostrils flared as she toke in the scent of dusty paper and cheap leather. Her golden cat-like eyes trained on the many symbols, referred as letters.

I am Myrian and human.

Was the very first sentence on the page. Of course Amur would not know that. She could recognize the capital M and it's child, little m. That letter reminded her of mountains. She knew what the letter h was because, it remind her of a old man, crouching over, staggering around with a walking stick.

Amur tried her very best to remember the other letters and their soundings. She was trying very hard as one could see. Amur bared her teeth at the words, strangely think that intimidating the words would make reading easier. Her eyebrows tied into a knot her forehead. And the feline's hands shook slightly in frustration. Not only can't I read master's journal but, I also can't leave Ravok.

Oh yes, the she-cat is wise enough to never leave this city alone. But if she doesn't leave this city, Amur will never get over her master's death. Also never reach Tabola.

Galilee

Galilee grew frustrated with watching the boats leave jubilantly without care. He pushed himself up off the edge and stood for a moment. He didn't have anything to do and thought in depth of what he could do to leave alone. Of course, every thought or idea he came up with required a companion. He glanced at his wrist with a blank expression plastered on his face. On it, a wispy feather the color of murky, dark purple. He would have chosen yellow but it didn't agree with his skin tone. He done it himself when he first taught himself how to tattoo. The store manager, who had sold him his first tattooing kit, told him to be careful and that most regret their tattoos. He definably regretted it now. He done it out of love for his mother and also when he believed his mother was a kelvic bird.

Galilee spun away from the canal and begun to pace, once again, down the street. Every person that had passed him were human and seemed to know who he was. At this rate, he believed he would never find someone to travel with. Galilee's squinted eyes caught sight of a young woman sitting on the edge, as he had done earlier, holding a leather book in hand. She was leaning dangerously close to read it and it made him wonder if she needed glasses. As he passed her, he purposely slowed down to read over her shoulder. The first sentence caught his attention. Has she written this and was reviewing her work? He had never seen this woman before.

"Excuse me, ma'am, you look troubled if I am not mistaken... Do you need any assistance?" He asked politely, tapping her shoulder lightly to prevent startling her.

"I haven't seen you around here before. Are you visiting?" Perhaps she did live here, but he never noticed. Who knows, he had to take a chance.

Golden Amur

The she-cat was just taking a break from reading to think of her plan. Out. I need out. Oh yes this kelvic needed out of this city. She has been here for the half season and she was already tired of it. The only joy she found in this city, was going with her master on "hunts." Other than that, the boats made her feel queasy. She hated the constant rocking. And not being able to feel the connection between her feet and earth, made her nervous. And so many humans. So many.

Amur was starting to get sick of the humans. She wish she could just eat them all. How annoying they are. No personality in her personal opinion.

"Excuse me, ma'am, you look troubled if I am not mistaken... Do you need any assistance?"

Amur looked up to see a young ghost of her master. The lady's eyes went wide not believing what her sight presented her. The moment of shock and slight happiness erased itself with a indifferent expression. Of course this was not her master. Her master was an aged man and never had any sort of kindness in his voice. Also not to mention dead. The feline does not answer the stranger's first question, just simply narrow her eyes at him. No one in Ravok actually helps people, well that she's known of.

"I haven't seen you around here before. Are you visiting?" The handsome stranger asks another questions. This time Golden Amur answers.

"Yes, yes I am. Is that an issue sir? I don't see how that would concern you sir." Amur says while closing her journal. Her yellow gold eyes glance down at the leather book, then back into the man's eyes. "Did you read this?"

Galilee

Galilee was taken aback. She had only responded with a distrustful stare. And... Was that slight recognition? A small part of him whined inside, upset that reality sucker punched him. Even this young woman must have heard about him. With a longer look, he observed something different revealed in her squint. Her pupils were odd. Of course, he probably made her uncomfortable so he asked her if she was visiting. Surprise took hold of him when she replied with a nasty attitude. Was it something in her book that had irritated her? "Actually, it is none of my concern. I'm sorry to have disturbed you." He was about to swirl on his heels to continue down his bitter path. However, she stopped him with an embarrassing question, followed with an intense gaze. He had to break it by looking away. His face burned with apprehension to lie. He just couldn't. How could he even pull it off?

"To be honest, yes. Curiosity killed the cat, huh?" He joked to lighten the mood. A cloud of relief rushed over him. To actually socialize, even if it were hostile, gave him a sense of contentment. Unfortunately, he touched the cool leather of his bracelet out of compulsion. It was in the way of his tatted feather. He used to rub his tattoo all the time. He liked to feel the veins pulse and the slight bump of ink under his skin. A faint feeling of nausea came over him. He almost forced himself to rush over and hurl into the canal. He stayed up. No way would he do that in front of a lady. "I swear I didn't read much though. Just the first few sentences." He finally admitted. The feeling of nausea faded, removing his hand from the bracelet slowly and stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jacket.

Golden Amur

He could read. Golden Amur only paid attention to the fact that he could read. He can read Yes, yes he can. He. Can. Read! Yes, yes, yes he can read. And he can read Amur's master's fancy hand writing. Golden cat eyes travel up and down every inch of the man's frame. She turned her head when, he touched his leather bracelet which covered part of his tattoo. Bad nerves must be.

"You can read sir? Can you read well? If I asked you read any sign on this street, you would be able to it? Would you?" Amur placed her hand on his broad shoulders, then forced him to turn around. She pointed at the sign on the NHC building. "What does that say sir," Amur demanded getting more and more frustrated every moment that passed by, when he didn't answer.

Galilee

Galilee raised an eyebrow at the woman as she froze for a moment when he admitted his nosy actions. At first, he believed she would blow up at him out of anger. Perhaps the book was her private journal? If it was, he wanted to apologize. For some reason, she hesitated as if something had crossed her mind. Her eyes trailed him as she was forming a slow reaction. He felt slightly uncomfortable as she studied him. He felt like an experiment about to be dissected. Or like he was prey.

Suddenly, instead of an enraged outburst, she demanded. Could he read? Of course he could read! Everyone could read! What a preposterous question she asked. The woman was just reading herself barely minutes ago. Galilee lifted up his hands slightly in surprise as the woman turned him around abruptly and pointed at a building sign. "I-It says NHC office, ma'am... Are you alright?" He passed her a look of confusion over his shoulder. Once he did, he caught it. Were her pupils... Vertically slanted?

It's Time to Move on [Golden Amur]

Golden Amur

Amur lips twitch but she refused to let herself smile. Quickly grabbing the complete stranger's hand, squeezing it as hard as possible to make sure he stays, even digging her claws in his hand to make her point. The feline glances into his eyes once more, as if to say; Stay until I tell you go. This was the first person, in four years, to actually go up to her and just randomly speak. Kelvics are the not only ones with instinct, unless she is trying to fool you; most people naturally know not to approach Golden Amur.

Now this stranger is either really dumb and nice or is planning something. Maybe he killed my master? Amur look at the stranger once more, sniffed and shook her head. Nope. Anyway he can read, meaning I can find out what's in this journal. Meaning I could know who, Master, actually is? Meaning I can figure his secert...

Now Golden Amur allowed herself to smile and let go of the man's hand. She turn to him and give him the kindest look she could give. "I'm sorry, did you say something? Forgive me for acting so strangely. I'm Amur. I haven't had the best day, today." The feline frowns looking at her feet, which were cover partly by her red cloak. "In fact I haven't had a lot of good days lately. But I feel like... I feel like gods made this day special for me. Don't you just feel like you want to get away or perhaps start over?"

Galilee

Galilee felt her long nails dig into the soft skin of his hand. She apparently did not know the meaning of clippers. He couldn't help but feel hot with embarrassment and had to look away from the young woman. Instead, he studied the canal behind her. How nice it looked today. Less dirty water, they must have cleaned it. Don't look at her. Oh gods.

He felt her hands slip away from him and it gave him relief. Galilee had the urge to rub where she had pinched him but he knew better than that. He didn't want to be rude but everything the woman did just didn't seem right. Something was bothering her. In better terms, irritating her beyond repair. Galilee wished he could help her, but it was difficult to loosen the mood between them. As they stood awkwardly, she regained her composure and introduced herself to him. She also admitted to having a rough day.

"That's alright, Miss Amur." Galilee replied, raising a corner of his mouth into a crooked smile. "Can't expect to have everyday to be perfect."

That was when his heart skipped a beat. She said start over. She said get away. This day is indeed special and good luck is now pointed his way. He could barely contain the excitement pumping through his veins. In fact, his veins started to stick out like sore thumbs against his skin. Galilee flashed a quick look to his arms; how ugly were those veins. He hated this inherited genetic trait. He now stood for a moment, recollecting himself. Desperation clung to him and he just had to ask. He needed this woman to travel with. She was his ticket out of this cursed place.

"Actually... I do. I need to leave Ravok in fact..."

Golden Amur

Her smile returns, as her eyes return to the man's face. Only this time she hides the smile with her shelve. "I wish to leave Ravok as well. I mean, I been here only a season but, I'm afraid this city is not as beautiful as I once thought. Of course, I no longer have someone to travel with. And only a fool travels alone out of this city."

Amur constant analyzing eyes caught this man's veins. They seem to want to jump out the stranger's skin. Amur wish to reach out and touch them but, she fears. She fears that this stranger doesn't just look like her old master but, feels as him too. "Are you Myrian? I love Myrians, I think they are the most beautiful. He was Myrain. Well actually he was only half." The feline speaks; slowly taking her eyes off the man's skin. To her the veins make this stranger only more handsome.

"You know it's rude not give a person your name, after they have given theirs."
