[Business Plotnotes] The Sugar Parlor

The Sugar Parlor is a desserts shop in the city of Syliras owned by Sigrun Dominic and Dahlia Arundel, where its goal is to provide the citizens of the Stormhold Citadel with delicious, sweet treats and baked goods, as well as chilled or frozen sweets during the Spring and Summer time. The latter is achieved through the use of an Ice House; a facility designed to store and preserve ice after the Winter season.

Currently, the Frozen Delights Ice House is still under development. While this is being done, the desserts shop will only be serving ordinary sweets.

Store Hours: 8 Bells Past Midnight (8:00 AM) - 3 Bells Past Noon (4:00 PM); Closed for two days after every five days for every Season.

The Sugar Parlor
The Sugar Parlor is situated in _______________ inside the city of Syliras. As soon as one enters, a sugar sweet aroma envelops them, welcoming them into the shop. The place is cozy and warm, with the numerous torches hanging along the walls providing the customers with a soothing, romantic ambiance. Numerous small paintings and sketches decorate the stone walls, and are often switched around whenever anything new comes along. Customers are encouraged to submit or donate any paintings or sketches that they may have in order for them to be placed up on the walls as well.

Numerous small, wooden tables line the main room, with matching wooden armchairs tucked neatly into each one. Parchment placemats with random ink drawings line the tabletops, with pale napkins holding utensils placed at the center of every mat. A small stage can be found on the far corner of the room along with two barstools, primed for a performance by any bards or musicians.

The end of the room is where the counter is, where one may take a menu and place their order before taking a seat. Barstools also line the front of the flat-topped fixture for those who are merely interested in a drink. Behind that lies a set of shelves where the drinks and glasses are stored, while beyond that lies the kitchen.

The Sugar Parlor Ice House.

The Sugar Parlor Ice House is situated somewhere along the edge of the Bronze Woods, facing the Northern leg of the Kabrin Road, where it is easily accessible to those who know its location. It is a thick hill framed by tall trees, with a dark brick arch for an entrance. A wheelbarrow or two carrying numerous shovels can usually be found somewhere along the side of the small hill.

The entrance floor is a downward slope that leads to a small staircase, where the storage for the ice is located. It is a deep hole insulated by layers of brick, wood shavings, and hay. Here, the ice is dumped and stored, and later on collected.
