The Dark, the Darker, and the Blue. (Aren Anazasz)

"Just how big does that place have to be?" He said thinking about the Windoak courtyard. No, too dangerous, but maybe if he can ask the golem...He will need to meditate tomorrow. Wys needed some answers from the Windoak. Now he did know of an area where no one ever went to, it was in the woods. Nobody ever bothered him there, no one should the next time around either.

"I guess I will see you in a week, will you be ready?"

The Dark, the Darker, and the Blue. (Aren Anazasz)

"As big as it can be? Practicing Reimancy can get destructive." Just saying those words made Aren grimace as he looked around at his small suite. There was a good chance that, by this time tomorrow, none of it could be left.

"But, a week should be more than enough..." Emphasis on the should. He wasn't really sure how long it would take until he felt satisfied that his skills were up to snuff, but if it took any longer than a week, he'd be quite embarrassed with himself.

Having noticed that Crow hadn't said anything when Aren told him to take care of himself, the Akalak thought he might as well say it one last time, "Rest. I'm serious. If you don't I'm going to be very cross with you."

The Dark, the Darker, and the Blue. (Aren Anazasz)

Wystern sat down, in deep thought and cross-legged. "I have a spot in the woods. Nobody will bother us there." Nobody should bother them there. He went there periodically to train. This would be a spot like no other to get initiated in. Bronze Woods spread wide, wide enough to be lost and never found again, that's why Wys used the wall of the castle as a guide.

Another week would be spent in wait. A wide smile crept over Wys, looks like the men reached and agreement. He wasn't scared, but he was trembling with excitement. Too curious for his own good.

"I don't sleep a lot, but I will make an exception. We will meet at six bells in the morning, at the spot where we met today, a week from now. I assume we both have things we need to take care of. Good luck with the preparation."

"Six bells it is. If I'm not there by the seventh, then I'm probably here on the floor..." Aren was joking, but only mostly. There were definitively various ways he he could end up incapacitated during the course of his training. And, the very nature of magic made practicing generally a solitary, secluded affair. Just another reason he hated keeping his skills up.

"Good luck with whatever it is you're going to do, as well." Aren knew that Crow wasn't likely to spend a week taking it easy, and when he said they both had things to take care of, it seemed like there was something specific that he wanted to do.

"I don't know if you are, but I hope you're ready for this." The Akalak scoffed halfheartedly, wondering if perhaps he should be telling himself the same thing.

Wys smirked as he was getting up. Speaking of resting, it was the time to hit the dusty trail. Wys rubbed his again, the tired look finally overcoming the grin. He got up and started walking towards the door.

"Thank you for the hospitality. I guess we will see each other in a week. Don't worry, I will be ready. See you then." Aren damn well better be too. Especially when he will be toying with the Knight's life. Fate loves irony.

He walked out the door, closing in quietly.

The Dark, the Darker, and the Blue. (Aren Anazasz)

Postby Aren on June 26th, 2010, 5:37 am

Crow departed sounding supremely confident that he'd be ready. "I just hope I am," the Akalak muttered, well after the Knight had gone. He felt excited, though; the first time he had ever felt so when faced with the prospect of training his magical abilities.

Looking around at his humble suite, Aren hoped it wouldn't have to pay the price for his foolishness. Unfortunately, he had already made up his mind and, like Wystern, nothing was liable to change it. "I'll be careful," he told the room, as if it was alive and capable of reading his intentions.

Fist clenched, grin on his face, Aren was determined to accomplish the task at hand. Now, nothing... not fear, hesitation or even common sense was likely to stop him from what he had set his mind to.

XP Award!

Wystern
XP Award: Interrogation +1; Rhetoric +1; Negotiation +2
Lore Award: Dangers of Magic; Mechanics of Reimancy (basic)

Aren
XP Award: Interrogation +1; Rhetoric +1; Intimidation +3; Reimancy +1
Lore Award: Wystern’s Determination

Additional Note
H’okay. This is good stuff, but you guys really need to revisit the rules for the skills your characters claim. Aren, your sheet has 22 XP in Reimancy, which makes him a Novice, which means he has control of ONE element. He can handle TWO once you get him 26+ XP. So no fire until you have the XP for it, okay?

And Wystern, did your character seek any information from Akvin Kultra in the Inner Sanctum? He’s the resident magecrafter of Syliras and has been in service to the Dyres family since a long time ago. He’s not a reimancer, but the knights shouldn’t be completely ignorant of magic between him and the Wind Oak... Just a thought.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or concerns.

Keep writing!
