"A way out?" Yuri smiled sadly at Ivan. There was a way out, but would Ivan really just let go? "There is a way out. All ghosts have something holding us back to this life instead of, I guess, going on. Once that something holding us back has been resolved, we can escape this state." The pianist ghost sighed wearily upon thinking about it; why was Yuri staying back? "In my case, I need to find some important people from my life, but it is different from ghost to ghost." Once again, Yuri sighed. What was it that held back Ivan? If only he could know. "So... I'm afraid I can't help you leave here; only you can." Saying all this, there was something Yuri was not aware of: it was a matter of willpower to stay like this. He had little idea that all one had to do was... let go of this life.

Yuri glanced up at Ivan, who looked concerned for a moment. "Oh, I'm... I'm fine Ivan... nothing's wrong..." Putting up a small smile, Yuri tried to look calm to Ivan. He couldn't look unstable to a ghost who was seeking his help after all! Now was not the time for flashbacks.

Noticing Ivan's grin, Yuri smirked a little, conveniently overlooking its questionable nature. "Well, for novices maintaining this form is tiring on their energy, but that improves as you get better at it. But..." Once again, Yuri raise his finger, "Since you can touch the physical, the physical can now touch you as well. That also means, we can be hurt by the mundane when materialized, and trust me, just because you're dead doesn't mean you don't feel pain. So be careful!" Checking over Ivan's tangible form, the older ghost was a little surprised to see that it was almost on the same level as his own, maybe even a bit better! Chuckling, Yuri clapped his hands in applause and gave Ivan a bright smile. "You appear to already have a nice grip on it Ivan. No flickering, no hazy lines, you're quite good at this for a starter!"

Gliding through the crowd, once again incorporeal, Yuri looked back nonchalantly at Ivan as he backed up to float next to the ghost. "For privacy? No, I headed to the inn because I believed there lived a couple friends of mine who would want to meet you. But, maybe you'll see them around another time, they stand out quite well in the crowd." Giving Ivan a little nod, Yuri stretched lazily, whistling again, as they passed through the crowd until they reached the sunless Bazaar.

Passing by the many vendors in the marketplace, Yuri stopped in front of a small stall selling cheap jewelry, if you could even call the junk presented that. The merchant at the stall looked warily at the two phantoms, who Yuri promptly ignored. "Now, to actually move objects, we use something called 'Soulmist Projection', as some ghosts and spiritists call it. Now, watch." A small tendril of soulmist extended from Yuri, as it crept out into the palm of his right hand. Once doing so, the ghost picked up a dull looking copper pendant, swinging it back and forth like a pendulum. The merchant's eyes widened in shock as he watched this, but once again Yuri was only focused on teaching Ivan the basics. "Extend part of your soulmist to your hand and focus on keeping it steady." Setting the pendant back down, Yuri gave off a heavy breath, soulmist projection was not his area of expertise.

Rest for the Recently Departed.

40th Summer 513 A.V

Ivan briefly mulled over the recent option in his head, Yuri doesn't seem to convinced about all of this. Was it all what it is cracked up to be? I mean what if I did full fill what ever it was anchoring me down to this dreary existence. He stopped, Dreary Existence. For pity's sake what is wrong with me, This is a second opportunity, another way out to escape that fiery gloom that lurks over my memories. "Those people you want to talk to, are any of them family members?" Ivan asked looking over to Yuri after finishing his soulmist projection. He tried to hide how much it to for him to concentrate on it. He wasn't all that strong in it he just didn't enjoy showing weakness, something no doubt that carried over with him into this afterlife.
"And?" escaping from his ghastly lips, Ivan cringed, "Would you move on?"

Yuri wore a strong face after his little reaction that took place. I hope that wasn't something that afflicted all ghosts. If so I realize the reason for finding ones way out of this life. It didn't seem like this life could be a painless as it appeared. True they weren't tangible to the mortals except in certain states but, there had to be something else out their which caused ghosts to stay hidden away in the cities. "What all can hurt us?"

He then listened to Yuri stat that while projecting oneself they were in fact tangible to the mortals. "We can still feel pain, but we can't die right?" Those consequences as a ghost obviously were apparent in the injuries they could receive while interacting with the world. "Don't be to impressed, I felt really awkward doing that. Are there any consequences for all these ... abilities we have received in our death?"

The lesson then too them back into the Bazaar where a few startled reaction from their stroll through everyone. Ivan didn't enjoy the glimpses that they were shot, he felt that he was the same but was suddenly regarded differently then he ever imagined. He followed as a shadow behind Yuri growing a bit gloomy from all the recent thoughts and fears that had popped into hi mind.

As Yuri explained the next thing he intended to teach Ivan reclined himself slightly as if lying back against a few bags of sand. The tendril soulmist reached out from Yuri a bit more forboding then Ivan expected. It was creepy, to be honest. It seemed like a shadowy grasp that was intended for choking the life out of a person's lungs. Ivan wold watch the pendulum float up into the air wear it startled a merchant. It waved to and fro in a hypnotic manner which almost brought back the nauseating sensation of sitting on a boat that swayed back and forth from the strong waves. Ivan looked over to Yuri as he put down the pendulum expecting no doubt for him to once again show his skills. Ivan concentrated a bit closing his eyes before he looked back to the pendant. His eyes looked like he was trying to burn through it as appose to move it which only caused him frustration as it only jiggled about from the flickering tendril reached for it. "Agh!" he yelled out, "I can't do it."
