Oh lord, don't even get me started. I've put mine (collectively, not just on Mizahar) through everything from full castration to being forced to eat gutter trash, removing teeth, fingernails and even a scalp on one occasion. Then more fun tortures like brainwashing and assault. I have a love hate relationship with my characters.

Meaning I always picture them cowering in a basement eyeing the door nervously.

It's just more fun that way!

I don't know if this counts, but I'm playing a Svefra that suffers from seasickness and loses his pet/familiar (I think the word is 'tavan') in his first post.

Let's see. I made him develop an unhealthy relationship with the mother that absolutely despises him, forced him to lose all he loved to go to Syliras, watched him get hit by the Djed storm, ripped away his mother, and threw him into Syliras to fend for himself. After creation, in the three threads I have, he's thrown up in public, almost got Tank'd twice, got harassed by homosexual bullies, cut himself with a razor, fallen on his face during a fighting lesson, and angered an Eypharian who is threatening to kill him with an iron fan. Well, I think his life is just peachy.
