The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Most people didn't mind being given a title such as 'Lady' or 'Sir'. Did she have something against those further up in social standings as well? May the Divines help them if she did, because Eshe certainly wasn't going to hold back. It was fair enough if she didn't want to be referred to as 'Lady', she didn't have the mouth or act like one anyway, excluding checking over her appearance.
She could've said earlier if it bothered her that much.
She grasped his hand with a grace that was more suited for the Shinya that she so admired. Quick, firm and strong. A hand appeared on his shoulder, stopping him from jumping back at the sudden movement. It didn't look like he was going anywhere. Eshe didn't want him to as she drew closer to him for once. Blue eyes, pale skin and blonde hair. Zeran analysed her as much as she did him, noting the smile that formed on her face as she did.
I don't like it! She looks like she's planning something!
Love, hate, indifferent, Eshe really needed to make up her mind about him. She was quite sporadic in personality. "Usually you back away instantly whenever I get this close. See something you like this time?" She must've. She wasn't letting go of his hand or shoulder. All he could do was sit there and wait for her to finish her inspection. She wasn't subtle in the least. The voicing of her beliefs had been forthright, and now her inspection was in your face.
Are there no boundaries you don't cross with this woman? Anything that is better done from a distance? Or does she have to have to have her face in everyone else's? |

Eshe laughed brightly. Did she see anything she liked this time.
"Maybe it's the missing smile, the crazy one. You don't look quite as strange without it."
It was true, he didn't look half bad. The girl simply released his hand and shoulder, taking a polite step back in case he had the need to yell at her for getting much too close. No doubt he'd try to hypnotize her to go do something that might harm her or get her thrown out of the city if he got mad. |

Laughter? What in Lhex's name was going on here? This is why nobody ever understood the old man God. Just when you reach the point you think you understand him, he throws you another twist and turn leaving you back where you started. A person would first have to understand the mind of every individual in Mizahar and more before they even had a chance at understanding Lhex. Eshe was undeniable proof that Zeran was not going to be reaching that goal any time soon.
"As strange?" What was wrong with his smile? What was wrong with him without it? She was just being mean now. She had to be. Even a friendly introduction was too much to ask for from her. Eshe still had to get that one last remark in. As if you went through complete skeletal reformation after learning your first discipline of magic.
Zeran hadn't realised she had released him and backed away, too caught up in his own thoughts. He was left standing in place, arm still stretched out in front of him, blankly staring off into the distance, caught within his own thoughts.
After a while, he let his arm fall back into place, smiling once more as he turned back to Eshe, moving nothing more than his head as he did. "You know what Eshe?" He started chuckling to himself, as if he had thought of something funny. "After we've both had a while to think about it, our second meeting is going to be a very thought-provoking meeting indeed."
His cloak had managed to hid its edges, as he fumbled with it, getting the right edges at the top and bottom. Zeran pulled the cloak over his head, shielding himself from Syna's heat once again. He was thankful the Goddess had reduced it, but it only meant he wasn't going to complain now. Zeran still wasn't partial to looking like a lobster. He moved closer to Eshe, reducing his smile so it wasn't 'the crazy one' as he looked at her.
"And believe me when I say we will meet again, Eshe. I intend on making sure of that. Perhaps sometime after you realise that the Shinya are not just going to throw me out for being a hypnotists, and me and them have a lot more in common, as people, than you think." |

"Yes. You're still strange with it, but not as creepy."He hadn't realized Eshe had backed away. She gave his extended arm a glance. It fell, and he smiled again. Yes, their second meeting was a little thought-provoking. It was the smile and the chuckle that freaked her out a bit. The amount of teeth shown was reduced, making it less... crazy. Believe him when he says they'll meet again. Of course she'd believe him. The Shinya wouldn't throw him out unless he did something that hurt someone horribly, and on purpose. Maybe... Maybe they did have a lot more in common than she thought. OOCI think this is a good spot to wrap it up. If not, then go ahead and do whatever you want. If it is, I'll turn it in. |
