Physical Description:

Yuri is approximately 5'7" and weighs 154lbs. He has short/medium brown hair and warm but suspecting brown eyes. Yuri considers himself an average looking human, but the truth is he is silently admired from afar by many. There is a conviction in his expression which means that few people question the motives behind what he does.

Character Concept:

Yuri has an honourable and chivalrous personality. He comes across as extremely reserved, but when he does speak it is almost always only to his selected group of friends (whom he calls completely trustworthy). He has never felt at home in any one location and travels the whole of Mizahar on his horse, Theophanes. He is always (discreetly) on the lookout for anyone who is in trouble and will immediately step in to aid those (no matter the race) whom need aid without question, making him popular with the people. Yuri will not take a contract unless the target is extremely unpopular and even then, Yuri will not kill the target, only injure and allow the target leniency and an escape route. Yuri fears only one thing, the Zith, and holds them in the highest regard, he also respects the wishes of any person / creature who will accommodate him for the night, where ever he may be.
Likes: Yuri likes to aid those whom are less fortunate than himself and will do anything to help, no matter the consequences.
Dislikes: Yuri hates those whom disrespect their offices of power and abuse the rights of anyone, or those whom disrespect the natural circle of life and death.


Character History:

Yuri was born in the city of Black Rock as the only child of Vanarva and Asun Lehrer. He grew up as a message delivery boy, which is a dangerous profession in Black Rock, on his 15th Birthday Yuri found a horse wandering around outside the city, being a kind soul Yuri took the horse to the council stables so that it would get treated for any injuries and to locate it's owner. 2 months later it was discovered that the horse's owner had died, so Yuri inherited the horse, which he named Theophanes. It had always been Yuri's dream to travel and discussed with his parents what he wished to do, they approved and Yuri set out on his travels. On his first journey to the Spires Yuri encountered a group of bandits attacking a lone Jamoura, Yuri tried to help the Jamoura but was quickly overpowered by the group. The distraction allowed the Jamoura to escape, which pleased Yuri... ever since that day Yuri has honed his skills with a blade, he has also been trained by skilled physicians on how to heal others using herbs, so that he may help those who are less fortunate and/or less able than himself.

I would describe myself as average with blond hair and brown eyes.

I don't really have a 'favourite'... but I do not mind the scars on my chest, as they remind me of the promise I made a few years ago.

My mother was a loving human as was my father, they both encouraged me to take the path I lead at present, I haven't seen them in some time so I couldn't tell you how they are at the moment.

Unless my parents have had another child in the last few years, no.

I tend to put myself in harm's way to prevent others from getting harmed.

No, I don't have Tattoos or Piercings, and having considerable time to consider this question, I do believe I may get a Tattoo in the Future, what of, I cannot say.

My worst memory? This is difficult to answer, in my childhood I once cut myself on my father's sword, it made me scared of the blade for a while, but I got over it.

Is this a trick question, I had a normal relationship with my parents, they helped me out when I needed support, and I was a caring and obedient child.

My Father, as he taught me how to wield the sword I now carry.

I don't have a formal education, but I have picked up on how to read and write by observing people, and listening in to a couple of teachers giving lessons on that sort of thing.

I learnt most of my skills in Black Rock from my father.

I try to avoid conflict unless it is the only alternative.

During his travels and training himself, Yuri has developed a few combat skills he likes to use.

 

Aggressive Skills

This is a list and description of aggressive skills Yuri uses.

Deceptive / Disabling Strike (Disabling, Weapon): This style is Yuri's main aggressive style, it consists of a feinted strike towards an opponent, or waiting on them to strike at him, before he rolls to their side, slicing at their legs, this is primarily a disabling tactic, and is only used when a situation demands it.

Shock and Awe (Speed / Shock, General): This is something Yuri cam up with during a training session and has practiced often when he has had the chance, he charges towards an opponent, raising his blade as though going for a strike, but when his opponent goes to block, he rolls past them, standing at the ready behind his opponent, ready to take further action or ending combat with a swift follow up strike.

Body Flip (Surprise / Counter, Unarmed): Learnt when he had a sparring match with Saraphina Skyglow, when in a fistfight and brought to the ground and underneath, Yuri will use his legs to press on the other person's center or gravity forcefully, and try to fling them over him, the end result should be the othrer person ending up flat on their back.

 

Defensive Skills

This is a list of the Defensive skills Yuri knows.

Combat Roll (Dodging / Re-positioning, General): A basic skill which any person would know or improvise, shifting ones body weight and rolling into or away from danger.

Block (Blocking / Basic, General) A simple block, using whatever he has at hand or his arm Yuri will try to intercept whatever is moving to strike him.

Parry (Deflection, Weapon): Yuri uses his sword or weapon to deflect a strike directed at him.

 

General Use Skills

Here is a list of skills Yuri has found able to influence a battle without being Aggressive or Defensive.

Rallying Cry (Leadership, Motivation): Yuri shouts to his allies trying to encourage them to keep fighting, or to increase their morale if they are wavering.

Just to note: Yuri's actual Fighting Style is reactive, preferring his opponent attack first so he can assess their skill level, but after a brief trade, he will try to go on the offensive, aiming to disable or disarm his opponent as quickly as possible, as he doesn't like to prolong a fight, though there are a few exceptions to this... which are based solely on how Yuri feels at the time, should he enjoy a bout, he will try to keep it going, or if he is learning something he didn't know before.
