Thanks Hornet, I hadn't realized anyone had started threads on them.

For a small event like this, it's fine if people want to make their own threads, but I'd appreciate it if everyone would let me know if they're using an actual festival for an open event. Not a huge deal, but just to make sure I don't have anything planned for it

Before we return to your regularly scheduled programming: NaNo and the Great White Whale, here is an important public service announcement!

The Autumn season ends this Saturday, so make sure you're getting your work threads done! I did a nice little video on the requirements for job threads and seasonal experience threads here, and this is the thread where you submit your threads for wages and seasonal XP. You can start submitting the threads now, but remember, you won't be paid until the actual end of the season. An ST, probably myself, will PM you with what you're awarded; don't just post in the thread and assume you've got it.

This is usually a place of confusion for a lot of people, so if you have any questions at all, please feel free to either post them here or PM an ST! Everyone is always happy to help out if you're feeling lost.

Alrighty, we're on the last day of NaNo, so I hope everyone's getting their last words in! Last I looked, the site was only 400k words from getting a new magical discipline! You can do it guys!

On another note, related to job threads, I wanted to address a couple issues we've seen people concerned about lately:

If you're new in town and have only been here for a few weeks, remember that you're only responsible for the portion of the seasonal expenses where you've actually been on the site. For example, if you've only been on Mizahar since November 1, and are living on Common level living, the minimum allowed in Riverfall, just divide that 135gm by 3 (since there's 3 months in the season). You'd then only owe 45gm! The date you count from would be the date you registered in the city, or when you posted your CS (if you were a turkey and forgot to register in the city).

Another situation is one that may overlap with the first: if you didn't complete your job threads and you can't pay your seasonal expenses. You won't get paid unless you complete them, but it's not the end of the world if you don't have them by now. You won't receive any thread grades until we see the seasonal expenses deducted from your ledger, but that's about the worst we can do to you! Just work on those job threads, get them in as soon as you can, and after that's taken care of, we can go back to grading any threads you have.

As an additional reminder, a new city registration thread will be posted after the season change, so everyone remember to look out for that an re-register!
