Traversing the Town and Telling Tales (Ora, Nero)

The young woman shook her head slightly. "Do not fret, it is no trouble." Ora smiled her eyes glancing to him for a moment. She honestly didn't mind the questions, sure, they were awkward and made her slightly uncomfortable, but she had no reason to not answer. Ora enjoyed the man's company, she had no reason to not answer his curiosities. Part of what he said did bother her, though, her not being able to feel the same as a human. "How would I not be able to feel the same as a human?" Ora frowned, genuinely hurt, she was young, naive, but she had no reasons to doubt her ability to feel the same as a human. Nero did have a point, though, she did not know how a Human would react to most things, she did understand most emotions, but some were entirely foreign to her, one such was love in a romantic sense.

The young woman frowned down at herself, doubting her own perception of the world. How different was the world through her eyes compared to the man a few feet from her? Maybe she wasn't capable of feeling the same as a human would, but to Ora, she felt the same as she always did. While Konti frequently seemed to treat love different from most people, it wasn't unheard of for a Konti to love someone. Ora's attention moved back to Nero as he began to speak again.

The young woman felt her cheeks redden more than they ever had. She listened silently, her eyes remaining on her glass until Nero finished speaking, at which point her gaze returned to him. Ora thought over his words, appreciating each one as it left his mouth. "I do not wish for any harm to come to you by my doing." Ora calmly said, her eyes continuing to rest on Nero. "I do not know what to say to that..." She said quietly, her eyes moved away from him as she stood up. Ora set the glass down on the table next to the pitcher, her fingers resting on the table top. "It sounds odd, but, I do not think I know what love is, at least, romantic love." A small frown crossed her face as she turned to face Nero. "Maybe that is what I feel," The young woman continued about the room, moving just to move. "How about we get going?" Sudden topic change, Ora was uncomfortable, she needed to think things over, not that thinking would do much good.

Traversing the Town and Telling Tales (Ora, Nero)

Postby Nero Czan on August 8th, 2010, 5:05 pm

Nero got up, his smirk hiding his urge to laugh. With a small shake of his head, he spoke, his words polite and playful, soothingly relaxing in contrast to the heavy mood that weighed down the room. "Don't worry about it, there's nothing that needs to be said. The last thing I want is for you to rush through your emotions and over-stress yourself." His smirk turned towards her, her nervous pacing placing her somewhere over his shoulder, and affectionately said, "Oh, and don't worry about the 'Harm' thing. I get 'harmed' on a regular basis, it's my pleasure to actually have it mean something for once." He chuckled as he opened the door, standing to the side as to let her pass. "But enough of this. I think it's time for some Relaxation." And boy, I have a feeling that water's going to be Really relaxing today...

The trek to the lake started quiet... Awkwardly so. Nero sighed as he thought about it, his gaze shifting the leaves around him, filtering the sun's bright glare and turning it into a soft green shimmer. It was, after all, his actions that had caused this. Yet, he still felt oddly at ease now that all was said and done. Truth is not something one should hide, especially from one's self, and it was a burden that he had been relieved of, albeit to be replaced with another one. Dedicated to do something to at least alleviate the situation, Nero's voice came out among the various sounds of the forest, it's tone slightly somber, and void of the playful and joking feeling of his usual self. "Ora, I'm sorry about what I said... About the whole Human thing. All this time I had been thinking how different we are from each other, from every angle. I thought that in some respects, we were total opposites. But then it hit me, that I'd be damned if I let myself draw into the shallow business of labeling people. Sure, you may be Konti, and you may be a little shy at times, but Above All Else, you are Ora Sa'vina, and that alone makes you different from everyone else. You are unique, beyond comparison. The sky's the limit Ora, the question is, How far will you soar..." He chuckled to himself, his gaze shifting skyward. "Here I go again... Giving advice in the form of riddles, and apologizing in force. I must be full of it today." He shook of the feeling of his last line. He could criticize himself later, now was apology time. "Anyways, once again, I'm sorry. I'm sure if there is any Konti brave enough to try and understand the psychotic world of emotions, it's You." He let out a shallow sigh, flashing her a brief and polite smile before returning his focus to the path. Today is going to be a Long day...

Traversing the Town and Telling Tales (Ora, Nero)

Postby Ora Sa'vina on August 9th, 2010, 12:27 am

Ora followed Nero along their way to the lake, her thoughts kept her occupied, she didn't realize their walk was awkwardly quiet, it was actually pleasant on her throbbing head. The young woman watched her own feet while they walked, avoiding direct sunlight in her eyes was preferred. The warmth from the light was welcome, but the light itself was not. Ora's thoughts remained on the complicated idea of emotions and interpreting them. How did she feel? It was an excellent question. In the end after she had argued and contemplated with herself she decided she would not know her true feeling until after she had been around him longer.

Her attention was grabbed by Nero's voice breaking the silence, her head snapped up, her eyes looking over at him, squinting in the light. A smile grew on her face as Nero continued to speak, his words were thoughtful and honest, Ora could feel that. The young woman continued to walk, searching Nero's face for her own response, but her thoughts remained jumbled and confused. "Thank you, Nero," Ora looked along the path before them, they were getting close, Ora remembered Nero telling her about a tree they were passing.

"I hope all humans are like you, Nero." Ora smiled at the path, her legs were slowing, she felt like vomiting again. "If they are, then I am sure I will never feel lonely at the least." Her hand moved to hold her stomach, the horrible twisting continuing. "I will say though, I will never take any suggestions of drink from you again."

Traversing the Town and Telling Tales (Ora, Nero)

Nero simply smiled. "I see myself as no greater or lesser than anyone else. I feel there's only one way to judge a person's worth, and that's by actually knowing them. And I believe, earnestly, that there are some wicked people out in this world." He chuckled towards her last comment, with a slight smirk. "Well, I did warn you. That stuff is not to be taken lightly." Afterwards, he continued his stride down the beaten path, his eyes gazing into the lush green environment ahead of him. He enjoyed Nature to it's core, but somehow, he was a bit off his game at that moment. His mind was hazy and unfocused, yearning for some relaxation of his own. He would be scanning alertly over the horizon, yearning for the opening that signaled still waters and a calming breeze. His emotions were an interesting mix, their various counterparts overlapping with each-other in a vague dance of feelings. They were almost a separate entity from his mind. He let his momentary discourse pass as his view expanded into the open meadow, surrounding the serene waters of the forest lake. Immediately, he was relaxed, albeit just imperceptibly.

He sighed as he walked over to the elder tree, leaning himself against the tough trunk with a smirk. "Peace at last..." He closed his eyes for a few moments, as he let all of his earlier worries and anxieties slip away. He popped forward afterwards, planning to make the most of his time, as he knelt against the edge of the lake, his hand dipping in it to feel the cool temperature of it's waters. He looked up with a smirk to Ora, and announced, "Water's perfect. Feel free to hop in." He chuckled as he stood, his arms extending upwards as he shirked his shirt off, tossing it against the tree as he jumped into the lake with a shallow dive. The water enveloped him, totally, as he torpedoed through the clear liquid, only to resurface a few feet across the waters. It felt good, and it was a smooth feeling to be swimming again.

Traversing the Town and Telling Tales (Ora, Nero)

Postby Ora Sa'vina on August 9th, 2010, 2:45 am

While the woman disagreed with Nero, she kept her tongue still in her mouth, she thought highly of Nero and could easily see him being a greater person than many others. A small smile graced her face as she nodded in agreement with him. "I suppose I will listen a bit closer next time." The young woman's eyes glanced over the greenery as they passed it. Flowers were in bloom and birds were singing. Usually, singing birds was a joy to Ora, but at the moment, their beautiful voices caused sharp pains in her mind.

A wide smile crossed Ora's face as they reached the lake. It was a happy sight to see again, even if it was not the domain of her father God, it was still water and still a small joy to the woman. Ora watched Nero as he reached into the water to test the temperature. The young woman did not care how it felt, it was sure to at least help her relax. The woman found herself averting her eyes and blushing as Nero removed his shirt, she saw the shirt enter her field of vision and land next to the tree.

Her ears picked up the sound of Nero surfacing again while her eyes were focused on the removal of her tan boots. She kept her eyes from from him, it was odd how willingly he discarded his clothing. Once the boots and the cord wrapped around her waist were removed and set neatly next to the tree, the young woman slowly entered the water, much like the day before, she slowly submerged herself, breathing the water in deeply, a soft smile landing on her face.

Ora swam under the water, looking up she saw Nero's legs, kicking to keep himself afloat. Ora swam deep into the water, her eyes watching the fish flee her presence. The young woman felt the cool water relax her pounding head and even seemed to settle her stomach. The Konti felt herself twirl almost unwilling in a smooth movement, her legs aching to dance again, so she did. Slowly she started out, under the water she was able to move much more gracefully than when she was on land.

Out of fear of Nero seeing her, Ora stopped her movements, for some reason, the young woman felt the dances to be such a private thing, something she did not share with many, only the few teachers and her mother had seen her movements, Ora found it to be best kept that way, this was her soul being exposed, something she preferred to keep hidden.

Traversing the Town and Telling Tales (Ora, Nero)

Postby Nero Czan on August 9th, 2010, 3:32 am

Nero allowed himself to bob between the surface of the water, and the unique world that laid below it. He felt an interesting amount of relaxation from the shifts, which to other's may have felt awkward. Ora was not one of those others. She seemed to feel at home in the water, able to wash all of her fears and pains away, if only for a brief moment. It was clear to him how brief that moment could be, as this small lake in a forest could never match her home, but only remind her. That's why Nero was around perhaps, to try and offset the homesickness she felt, with his own brand of entertainment. So far it's had "interesting" results, but there was no telling until it was done. Nero swiftly swam across to the edge of the lake, and propped himself up on a couple of rocks, his shoulders barely coming above the waterline as he closed his eyes and relaxed. He smiled at Ora, sternly resisting the urge to swim over and go under with her. That was her Sanctuary, and he would not go there uninvited. The last thing he'd want to do is invade on her private sanctums. So, Nero laid back, his mind finally able to process some of the day's earlier events, without strain. There was a lot processing to be done.

Nero had given up on the search for his question's reasoning, and had instead decided upon focusing on his answer. Even for him, saying he Loved someone was not something he'd do on a whim. Yet, he had, with as much ease as someone saying their morning greetings. It had confused him at first, but now it was just another question that needed an answer. Did he really love her? It was impossible, or immature, to say that after one day, filled with as many awkward moments as romantic ones. And the romantic ones were mostly one-sided at that. He chuckled to himself as he examined the situation, and saw how different the two of them were. It was an interesting match, and one that had, for the most part, gone smoothly. Disregard the rough night due to alcohol, and a couple awkward patches, and everything has gone Great. He was determined to find out more however, to understand this woman whom he claimed to love. At that thought, he almost burst out laughing, as another obvious fact popped up. He knew little to nothing about her, besides her tale that she had shared upon their meeting. And that was simply the past. He smirked as he resolved on asking her, preferably while they were still in the peaceful comfort of the lake. However, he delegated that to a later time, and allowed himself, as well as Ora, to take some rightly-deserved R&R.

Traversing the Town and Telling Tales (Ora, Nero)

Postby Ora Sa'vina on August 9th, 2010, 4:03 am

Violet eyes looked up to the glimmering, slowly rippling surface, her eyes searching for Nero's legs intruding on her quiet stage. With ease the woman found Nero, over to the edge of the lake, against some rocks the jutted up and out of the water. A smile crossed the woman's face as a game she used to play with her mother came to mind, well, not so much a game as a joke. Ora found herself swimming slowly up to Nero's legs, she paused a moment just under his feet to look up at him before placing her hands around his ankles and securely tugging him under the water, only to swim off quickly with a small laugh.

The woman surfaced a fair distance from where she had pulled him under. She wiped away the hairs from her face and waited for him to surface again, at least she was able to have some fun with others in the water.

Traversing the Town and Telling Tales (Ora, Nero)

Postby Nero Czan on August 9th, 2010, 4:27 am

Nero was, for lack of a better word, Off his Guard, when he was tugged under the still surface. His eyes slid open as they submerged, his gaze obscured, but the game established. He smirked as he pushed his body down, his mouth popping up just enough to allow a few breaths before swiftly submerging. He saw Ora off, and he burst off of the rocky edge with his legs as he saw her pop above the water. His smirk was, interestingly-enough, waterproof, and it would have to be, as he wore it his entire stride. As a kind payback, he swam to the bottom of the lake, it's bed more substantial than an ocean sea-floor, and crouched into a ready position, like a spring about to burst. As he shot himself up, a vertical torpedo, he wrapped an arm around Ora's waist, his grip bringing her up with him a good foot above the water, only to land back down with a smooth splash. As soon as he had broken the surface, his grin had broken into laughter, and as he laid on his back, floating, it had descended into a chuckle. "You're not the only one who can play games. Although, I must say, you've got quite the advantage here. Whatever will I do..?" He smirked as he popped under the water, swimming along the floor. The water carried an exhilarating feeling as he swam, his head coming up for air. It was the purest kind of medicine, and for Ora, most likely the Best kind. As his eyes refocused, not as acute of the shift between sea and air as his companion's may be, he looked around, awaiting the next trick in her bag of games. Let's see how well she can relax.

Traversing the Town and Telling Tales (Ora, Nero)

Postby Ora Sa'vina on August 9th, 2010, 6:09 am

Ora let out a small yelp of surprise as the arm grabbed her about the waist, lifting her a foot more out of the water, as they splashed back down, Ora took a deep breath, half of air and half of water. Her head poked out of the water again, looking at Nero, who was happily floating and egging her on. "I believe I do..." A smile crossed her face while she pushed hairs away from her eyes.

The young Konti copied Nero, floating on her back her arms outstretched to her sides. "I used to play that game with my Mother, but it usually ended up being a game of tapping each other and then swimming away as fast as you can before the other can tap you back." Ora was explaining the equivalent to tag. Her feet kicked lightly, moving her around for a moment before she suddenly submerged herself again.

Ora swam to the bottom of the lake, her fingers grazing the sandy muck that covered the floor, her fingers were searching for a small hard object. It did not take long for her to find what she was looking for, a decent sized rock, it wouldn't be too hard to hit Nero, he was on his back... Ora swam till she was about one persons height from Nero and threw the rock with all her strength, the water slowed the object so it would only tap the young man floating. After which, Ora waited, ready to swim away if he were to give chase.

Traversing the Town and Telling Tales (Ora, Nero)

Postby Nero Czan on August 9th, 2010, 6:27 am

Nero smirked as Ora dove under, her games only starting. It was a nice change of pace for him to see her playing around, and having fun. She had been very polite, and almost business-like, since he had met her. He guessed it was just due to her integral bashfulness, but he enjoyed the moment regardless. The games, after all, were only beginning.

And this game had indeed just begun. With a small tap against the small of his back, Nero rolled his face underwater, his sight dodging around the somewhat obscured water. He smirked as he swam down, through a plume of trapped dust, and found Ora, her playful expression adding to his excitement. He figured it was only right to make up for his awkward actions from before, and decided to patronize her. He surfaced for a moment, taking in a series of deep breaths before going back down, and heading straight for his sweet companion. The chase was on, and he intended to have as much Fun as she would.

They went back and forth in their various forms of hide-and-seek and tag for a good half-hour, before Nero insisted on a break. A snag on his pants had gave him a nice dose of water into his lungs. It was nowhere near enough to cause any serious injury, but it made holding one's breath extremely difficult. He sat on the edge of the lake, his legs partly submerged, and smiled to Ora. He could see her accepting him little by little, and he was joyous because of it. His gaze rose to the sky as his smirk took over, relieving his sincere smile of duty. He waited 'till Ora was settled near him to speak, his voice still a bit rasp from his saturated breath. "Tell me Ora... If you don't mind, What else do you do in the water. I can't imagine an entire culture that spends half their lives in the sea, playing tag all day." He smirked, figuring now was as good a time as any. Plus, it would buy him time to prepare for more games, and Nero loved him some games.
