"Come on, then," Hadyn tilted her head in the direction of the counter, bidding Tichi to join her. Casting off from where she rested her hip against the side of the marble the woman rounded the counter and selected a few scraps of paper. Pushing them and the quill pen toward the girl the brunette smiled.

"Show me what y'know, hm?"

Teaching was not something Hadyn did too often in her life. But something about Tichi endeared her to the weaponsmith. And if she could share the useful and sometimes necessary skill of writing with her courier why not? it could only serve to help the girl in her future. Whether Hadyn would be a decent teacher was another matter entirely.

[Sultros Blades] New Employment {Tichi}

Tichi beamed and grasped the quill awkwardly. Her expression changed to a frown as she concentrated, focusing on the paper so hard her eyes nearly crossed. Carefully she wrote out her name, the strokes wobbling and waving their way across the paper.

She took a moment to look at it and blew her hair out of her face in frustration. "It looks awful," she complained. "I know what the letters are supposed to look like. Mostly. But they don't land on paper the way they are in my head. I know the alphabet, though. I think."

Tichi bent over the paper again, attempting each letter in the alphabet. A few came out reversed or upside down. Mostly they were wobbly and wavy as her name had been. By the time she was done, the paper was filled with letters going this way and that, slanting up and down, and generally looking like they'd been written by a drunkard.
