17th of Winter, 513 AV

A rather suggestive moan escaped Anna's throat, her eyes fogging up in bliss as she held her gaze towards the ceiling. She was laid out on her mat, squirming slight in her underclothes as she worked on relieving some rather long pent up stress. Sahova was useful for a lot of things, unfortunately pleasure was not one unless one held some rank higher than Apprentice. So it rather fell to her to find some kind of release, regardless if it was her own hand that dealt it.

Her right hand had strayed rather far down and was dutifully carrying out its ministrations, while her left was splayed lazily next to her head. Her long fingers slipped inside again and again in a slow rhythm, a slight gasp escaping her throat. She really petching needed this, it would have been better with someone else doing it but Anna was hardly in a position to be picky. She also had zero shame regarding this current situation, she dared someone to last as long as she had without satisfying certain urges.

After a few chimes she tensed up around her fingers, a blissful numbing climax sending waves of pleasure through her mind. Her breathing was a little heavy than it had been before and she lifted her fingers up to appraise them. She giggled at the sight of her Apprentice ring covered in the sticky liquid, no doubt Amaryllis would be less than amused if she found out. Still Anna diligently wiped the ring off on her old tattered cloak along with the rest of her hand, the fog of pleasure already clearing from her mind.

Now that her little... session was over with it was rather time to get down to business. She did have some metal balls to Glyph today, and a rather safe environment to accomplish that in. Once she became a Wizard she'd have plenty of time to please herself, or get other's to do it for her. Sahova was making her already hedonistic ways a little more extreme, more due to deprivation and insanity than anything else.

Anna finished wiping her hand clean and crawled off of her mat, reaching for the brass balls and the tiny little engraving tool provided to her. She'd opted to try her hand at engraving the Glyphs onto the brass, better than wasting inscribing paint or ink. She admired the lightness of the metal, whatever else Osd was he certainly knew his craft. Perhaps if this went off without a hitch she might consider only seriously maiming or scarring him rather than killing him. The depths of her own mercy astounded her truly to no end.

The tall woman looked over the brass ball carefully, making certain their would be no flaws that could disrupt the overall structure of the Glyphs themselves. Finding none the Sorceress started tapping away lightly with the little engraving tool, attempting to place her first Focus upon the ball. Attempting was the word for it and as she continued with her work, her grey eyes narrowing on the offending object in annoyance she realized it was much harder than it first appeared. It took longer than it normally did when she drew out her Glyphs, this etching process foreign to her.

She grimaced when she looked at the completed Focus, it looked bloody atrocious. The woman tossed the ball aside, not even bothering further with that one as it was clearly beyond salvaging. At least she had four more tries to get it just right, though drawing the Glyphs on them was certainly looking rather appealing at this stage.

The tall woman took up another ball and set to work etching the Focus Glyph into the metal. This time was not so bad actually, as she had a handle on how to properly hold the little engraving tool properly. The Focus was finished and the stylized inverted triangle actually looked rather nice and functional. However it was when she started on the Barrier that trouble reared it ugly head once more, foiling her hard work.

She accidently caused once of the geometric symbols in the ring around the Focus to bleed into one next to it, compromising the whole layout. Anna cursed loudly and tossed the ball aside, resisting the urge to smash it into a flattened piece of steel via liberal use of earth reimancy. Two mess ups and she hadn't even completed one good sigil on the petching things. So far Anna was not liking the running theme here, however there was no other choice for this. These balls were the centerpiece of the whole display, the scrolls she would make were going to be good but these were just a little bit different and would give her that odd edge.

The Sorceress sighed and took up another brass ball, third time was supposedly the charm after all, perhaps she'd actually complete this one to an acceptable degree. She started etching the Focus into the surface of the ball, her grey eyes narrow and appraising of the possible flaws that could exist and her fingers cautious in the pressure they applied to her tool. The stylized inverted triangle came into existence easily enough, but the real test would be the Barrier and the Paths that would connect it to the Trigger.

Slowly Anna started the ring of Glyphs that would surround her Focus, her strokes careful and deliberate. The Barrier was made with the ideas like 'containment' and 'hold within' being prominent among them. It was the normal process for a scroll sigil like the one she was creating, to make certain the magic was contained for as long as it needed to be. Only when the Trigger was activated would the whole affair be set off.

The Sorceress finished the Barrier and then started on the Barrier on the opposite side of the Focus, the one that would contain her Trigger. This was going to be a multiphase scroll, once the Trigger was activated it would signal the switch Glyphs around it to drop the Barrier around it and signal the same to occur along the Paths that would connect the two. The Focus would then release its magic, which would be set to deal massive damage over an area of effect. It was a brilliant little device.

Finishing with the second Barrier Anna connected the two Barriers via four Paths and included the necessary Switch Glyphs to separate the magical effects. Once this was done it was time for the actual Trigger, which she had already experimented with once. This time she had a much more refined Trigger in mind, this one a little more refined and carried action of intent as well as the end result necessary. Slowly she etched out the Trigger, which was:

When this object is thrown by the wielder and then impacts upon one of the following under-designated areas the Trigger will activate the Switches, which will travel up the Paths to signal the same thing to occur on the opposite end.

-The Ground or Floor
-A Wall

Anna nodded to herself, pleased by the Trigger specifications. It would need to be thrown to actually activate the Trigger, merely dropping it would accomplish nothing. This means that a person would actually need to mean to use it for it to go off. The designation of where it should impact was an end goal, meaning that simply throwing it wouldn't be enough. It would need to make contact with either the ground or a wall after being thrown. It was a two phase thing, one that filtered out most possibilities for failure.

Satisfied, Anna placed the ball off to the side and picked up another to start on it. Once she finished all of them she'd have time to properly figure out what spells to add to the little sigils. That was the fun part of this whole thing.

Anna began etching the Focus into the next ball, the action much easier than it had been previously due to finding a good balance of what she need to do when engraving Glyphs into the balls. Her grey eyes were still vigilant though, carefully watching for mistakes or slip ups from her own work. Thus far there was nothing overly wrong with her work, hopefully she'd continue her success from the previous ball. The stylized inverted triangle came to life on the brass ball, easily recognized as Anna's trademark.

The Sorceress finished with Focus quickly enough and moved onto the Barrier, smiling as the shapes came much easier to her as well. This engraving thing wasn't as hard as Anna had first thought really, actually it was fairly easy once one got the hang of it. The ring of symbols around her Focus was born, its job to contain the magic the Focus would eventually store within it.

This was one of the few times the Sorceress could confidently say she felt truly alive, working with the force that connected all magic together as one entity. The Glyphs came into existence at her direction and the little symbols were strong enough to warp the laws of magic, to bend things that were impossible into the realm of possibility. That was what Glyphing truly was, the magic of possibility.

The Barrier around the Focus was finished and before long Anna finished the second Barrier and then the Paths that connected the two. For the Trigger she simply repeated the same one from the first one onto this one, it was appropriate and strong enough to where the Council would see her skill as a Glypher was a cut above ordinary. Of course, the spells she placed inside would also need to display her power with reimancy appropriately.

This one finished Anna moved on to the last ball, smiling as she did when she imagined shoving one of them down Daren's throat. Gods that would be amusing to watch, if only she could make it so sooner rather than later. As she worked on the Focus she allowed her mind to wander to the mission she would be taking into the Heartlands to meet Kierra Doma.

Amaryllis had mentioned for Anna to attempt to become the Warden's initiate, those that worked under a Warden if she recalled correctly. What kind of implications did that raise really? From how these Heartlands sounded Anna had her doubts many who would attempt such a thing still lived, how many initiates did Kierra Doma have at any one time? Celeste was not the only initiate to the Prairie, how did the Heartlands function?

As Anna moved on to the Barrier she allowed her lip to curl slightly, the rage she felt from Amaryllis placing Celeste in this position burning her on the inside. Anna hadn't asked Celeste because she had wanted the girl to be somewhat safe, now she was going to be travelling into the belly of the beast. The problem here was that Anna might need to harm Celeste herself if it would put her in Kierra Doma's favor, because at the moment that was all that mattered. Once she had the favor of Lector Qiao, Goron Silverheart wouldn't be able to touch her and then the sky was the limit.

The Sorceress finished the Barrier and then the second one followed in short order. From here she again connected the two via Paths and placed the Trigger on the opposing side, adopting the same Trigger as the ones previous. First things first was to actually become a Wizard, she had the look down but now she needed to follow up on that with the actions.

Anna looked at each of the balls and nodded, these three were ready to be primed with some spells. Devastating area of effect spells preferably.

Anna placed everything out of the center of the room, where a single brass ball laid in position and ready to be filled with Anna's arcane might. The tall woman stood away from the center as well, her hands out before her as she prepared to begin the magic she was most known for using. World Magic was fine and good, but Personal Magic was the magic of the self and it was that she was most comfortable with at the end of the day. Reimancy was where the apparent nature of her art became all the more clear as the destruction shone through.

The Sorceress focused within herself and found her center, focusing on the energy that made up her very identity and sense of self. Her Djed was focused beneath the surface of her skin and was pushed outwards from every pore in her body, a throaty moan escaping her as the waves of pleasure washed over. It felt so much more primal than mere sexual pleasure, no it was that feeling of absolute power that intoxicated her. It drew her in and threatened to always consume her entirely if she gave too much. All wizards dealt with it in some form or another, magic felt good to use which is why it was so difficult to keep control in the heat of casting.

Translucent purple liquid poured up out from her skin, covering her in the essence of sheer and utter power. The Sorceress retained control, pushing the urge aside and willing the large amount of res to move outwards from her body while still creating more. She was going to be doing some extensive casting today.

The res was formed and shaped into a large ball of shifting purple liquid that hovered in the center of the room. Anna smiled and focused upon the concept of fire, it burned so brightly and was so very strong. It destroyed and it also gave life in the darkest of times, it was a force that was hers to command at will. She was a sorceress, one who bent the ways of magic to her whim and forced it to heed her desires.

She clenched her first, the signal for the outer layer of the res to ignite. From here she will the massive fireball to lower onto the metal ball, its heat radiating brilliantly onto her. Anna moved it slowly, wanting to keep the reaction when released localized around the ball of brass. Right before it reached the Focus and was absorbed the Sorceress willed a collapse to occur in the center of the ball, placing it inside of the Glyph before the proper reaction would occur.

Once the ball was released from the Focus, the flames would expand outwards immediately, consuming a wide area in brilliant purple fire. It was something of a fire bomb and anything caught near it when it went off was probably going to get burned up. However she wasn't quite done with the Glyph just yet, it was going to possess another phase that would increase its range by a large amount.

Some of the res gathered on her body was phase changed into a purple cloud and moved out towards the center of the room, directly over the brass ball. Anna motioned downwards with her hands willing the cloud to move lower and just before it touched the Glyph was when she willed the transmutation to occur. The cloud was transformed into a ball of compressed air, just before it could expand it was placed inside of the Glyph as well.

Now, once the fire expanded the compressed air would force it to expand even further extending the range of the effect greatly. Anna sighed as the joys of casting were felt upon her mind. She was more than ready for the next ball and the magic she was going to put in it, this one had been merely a warm up round in the Sorceress' opinion. She replaced the primed ball with one of the empty ones and drew more res, while phase changing the substance already generated to a gas.

A larger cloud of gaseous res was moved to the center of the room, over the empty ball and Anna focused upon the combination of two concepts. The gas was condensed closely together, moved down a little as the occasional sparks flared up from with. Fire and air gave birth to one of the most destructive elements on this world, Zulrav's rage made concrete and manifest. It was both awe inspiring and terrifying to behold.

The air around the condensed gas crackled malevolently, the hairs on Anna's skin starting to stand on end. As the transmutation fully took place the Sorceress willed another expansion to take place just before it was absorbed into the Glyph. This would mean that the cloud of lightning would become something like a localized or controlled storm of lightning. Anything near it when released would likely end up getting fried by the potent force of the Para-Element.

Anna could feel the drain upon her, but it was still manageable, she was in no danger of overstepping her limits over much. Besides it was time for the last and most dangerous one, the reason these wards were up to begin with. She replaced the ball filled with lightning with the last empty one and stood as far back as she could from it. Res seeped out from the bottoms of Anna's feet and from her legs, crawling out along the ground and being added to until the Sorceress was pleased that a reasonably large amount of the purple liquid had been created.

The pool of res was moved upwards, moving to float above the ball as Anna mentally prepared herself for this task. Second thoughts were natural, this was a dangerous and potentially life threatening little trick she was going to try after all. One glance at that little box in the corner silenced her doubts and fears, the knowledge that this was necessary coming to mind. She needed to pull out every stop she knew of to overcome whatever slander Silverheart tried to level against her. If she turned back now she might as well just melt that ring and save the Council the trouble.

Her grey eyes focused resolutely upon the res as she clenched both fists, the gesture to signal the necessary transmutation to take place. The res shifted violently as the outer layer superheated to a level of heat rarely witnessed upon the Mizaharian surface. Anna hissed as the oppressive heat of the molten lava washed over her, threatening to sear her flesh just because she stood so close. The sorceress kept control and slowly forced the liquid into the metal ball, squinting slight as she did.

The heat vanished as every bit of the lava was absorbed into the Glyph, anyone who was near it when it activated would pretty much find themselves melting. Anna sighed in relief, casting another glance to the small box with the ring within. She would gain that ring, no matter how much discomfort she had to endure to gain it. It would be hers and Silverheart would rue the day he dared to underestimate Annalisa Marin. Especially when she tore off his petching arm and tossed it into the lava of the Forge.
