Well that had been a long night. Usually she'd be home by now, but Ruby had told her to spend as much time with one particular gentleman as he wanted. The sack of coins he'd given the Benshira was likely the reason behind it. The man was a regular patron, and rather wealthy from the sounds of it. With all the money he blew on the Sanctum, the proprietor was more than happy to see he was well taken care of. That meant he got as much time with the girls, or in this case, Sophie, as he wanted.

Usually a case like that meant something good. Sure, she'd have to deal with his sleazy hands all over her, and she'd have to pretend to be interested in anything he wanted to talk about between bouts, but in the end, the large bit of coin left as a tip would make it worthwhile. It was about the money, after all.

Yet, what was supposed to be a profitable evening actually ended up worse than normal, when the stingy bastard didn't live a single coin for the brunette whore.

She smiled until he left the establishment, and when the door closed behind him, her tantrum started. She'd let him do anything he wanted and now she was sitting there with a night wasted. Her feet were shoulder width apart, knees bent like she was getting ready to squat. Teeth ground together and her fingers curled into a fists which she began to swing at the air where she stood.

"Stupid, petching piece of shyke!" Sophie stomped around the wooden floor of the main entertainment area. Clad in nothing but a clinging pair of silky black panties and a red silk robe, it would have been quite the sight to see for anyone there to view the spectacle. And the stiletto she kept in a leather strap on her thigh, when she wasn't working, of course. A girl couldn't be too safe. Only, no one else was there.

Sophie was the last one to be working that night. It was strange to see the Sanctum so empty, but there had to be some time for rest. Ruby ran a tight ship, so she make sure the place was clean, both her girls and her establishment. That meant it had to shut down daily to make sure everything was in order. The young woman was used to there being less people, but only her? If she wasn't so pissed, it would have been unnerving

"'You're so beautiful,' he said. 'If I weren't married I'd take you home,' he said. Stingy pri- Oww oww oww OWWWW" Sophie's foot impacted with the side of a chair as she thrashed about sending the energetic girl plummeting to the ground in agony. Tears escaped from her eyes, born of a mix equal parts anger at her stupidity and pain from the wooden chair.

I'm so stupid.

It was clear that things couldn't get any worse. She was really counting on getting a nice payday out of the evening's work. Sophie was going to treat herself to something nice for putting up with him for a whole night, but instead she was lying on the ground, crying.

"Nope...it...can't..get..worse," she muttered between soft sobs. The crying continued until things did get worse. The downward spiral of that evening announced itself with the sound of broken glass. The crying stopped, along with her heart.

That's not fair. THAT'S NOT FAIR.

Sophie pulled herself to her feet, wrapping the robe tightly around her as she walked slowly towards where she'd heard the sound. "It's just an accident. Just a simple accident. No one is breaking in. No one." Each step was taken gingerly as she could still feel the throbbing in her left foot. She tried to move quietly, carefully placing one foot after the next, crouching as she moved towards the source. Despite her earlier display, she did have some amount of grace as a dancer.

All of that grace could do nothing to make her be silent as she moved. Each time her left foot had pressure on it, she whimpered audibly, an exaggerated limp that was more a result of wounded pride than flesh accompanying her movements.

When she neared the corridor where the glass had broken, she slowed and pressed herself against the wall, trying not to psyche herself out. She should have run, gotten help, but like a fool, she was investigating what was likely a break in. Taking a deep breath, Sophie ran her hands through her hair and moved around nervously in place before peeking around the corner to see if her fears would be realized.

[Scarlet Sanctum] Why Not Use the Door? (Eleazar)

Postby Eleazar Victor Syroin on January 22nd, 2014, 11:22 pm

It was a cold night to out and about, far too cold, decided Eleazar. Winter was only beginning to bare it's teeth; but already he could feel it's bite on his skin and wanted to be out of it's clutches. Rushing down the streets of Sunberth following the moonlight at some stupidly early Bell in the morning, the cowardly thief was heading towards hopefully one of his biggest payouts this season. It had been to close a shave with the last rent day. If it hadn't been for those two extra coppers he had found hiding under his bed, the teen would have been out on the streets. This time round he would have that money, he would make petching sure he had the money.

Stopping in front of the Scarlet Sanctum, the thief allowed the cold night air to form before ducking down the alleyway next to the whorehouse with renewed confidence. Why the Pleasure house? It was no secret in Sunberth about how lavishly, Ruby, it's owner decorated her girls and their work place. A quick trip in here and he would be problem free for the rest of the season. Or least the teen assumed that. Sunberth had an amazing way of going from petching brilliant to petching shyke in a matter of ticks. Money today, may be gone tomorrow. Something he knew too well; although in most cases he was the one making it 'gone'.

Stopping under one of the windows over looking the alley, Eleazar took a moment to plan his way up straining in the balckness before eagerly hopping onto a low level outcropping of building's timber foundations. The thief quickly lost his balance, falling back down to the ground. Trying again, more slowly this time, he stepped up, anchoring himself in place by slipping his fingers into the space in between the worn wooden planks that covered the outside of the building.

Wobbiling slightly his other hand stretched up, hooking the thief's finger tips over the top of another crevice in between the boards. Checking to make sure his new hand hole would support his weight, Eleazar shakily hauled himself up, flailing his foot frantically around for something to support it. Thankfully a long protruding nail provided him with such, allowing his arms to relax briefly, climbing had been a harder task than first thought. Trying to control his rasping breaths, the thief's other hand to went to feel for yet another crevice in the wood work of the buildings side. It was a mild surprise that the sanctum didn't get broken into more often then again his lanky underfed form was a bit of cheat. No doubt anyone else would have ripped the boards out the wall by now or else would have been too short to reach some of the holds.

With a brief squint to mark out where to go next and a heave of his body onto a jutting out board, Eleazar was really feeling the burn in his arms. This was further more proof in his mind that maybe he should stick to running from the merchants, instead of burglary as if his terrible night vision wasn't already a clue to that. Blowing out a deep breath he carefully changed of his hand positions, silently glad that his height was really playing to his advantage, with the moon lit outline of a window sill now hovering barely a few hand widths above him.

Pushing up off the wooden board, his long arms brushed the surface of the sill before the plank groaned under his boot. Oh shyke. Panicking the teen had only just got a hand firmly on the sill when the wood gave out beneath him, leaving him swinging like one of those foreign street performers a dozen feet above the cold earth. Quickly whipping his other arm up, a second hand found purchase on the wooden sill as sweat built up on the teen's brow.

The splinters digging into his hands didn't even register to Eleazar, anything was fine at this point as long as he wasn't going for a long-ish drop and a sudden stop. Sweating and cursing, the dark haired lad wriggled his way onto the ledge; near tumbling to his death two more times. Once up, he didn't dare make another move, simple sat huffing in the available oxygen into his body. He was such a reckless fool sometimes.

Breathing now back under control, he carefully peered through the window. It was pitch black inside; lights out and not a soul in sight. Good. Just the way it should be. At this time, of the morning the Sanctum should be empty having done it's business for the night. Fishing out a fist sized rock from where is had been hidden in his pocket just for this purpose, Eleazar clenched it tightly in his less splintered hand and brought it down hard against the surface of the window.

The noise of the window shattering caused was loud, broken glass clatted down into the streets. It was a good thing it was still too early for most of the local Sunberthians or the crook would have been dealing with an audience. A swift few kicks dealt with the last remains shards blocking his path, Eleazar slipping inside the building entering into a carpeted corridor. Man, this place was fancy if it had floor like this. Prowling forward soft fabric under foot, the thief tried one of the closest doors to him in the corridor. It was locked. Taking a few steps back, he retraced his steps from the door with greater speed, sending a fairly solid kick in the door which surrendered against the force.

As the door slammed open, the teen was greeted immediately with a pile of angry brushes falling on him. Well that hadn't been the right door. Struggling up under the mob of cleaning equipment, Eleazar caught the flash of watching eyes out the corner of his vision. Freezing up entirely, the thief turned to the woman hiding behind the corner of the corridor. His face was frozen in shock as a nice purple bruise formed on his head, a wound dealt by an extremely vicious wicker bristled broom. Oh shyke.

“Why the petch are you still 'ere, mi lady?”

[Scarlet Sanctum] Why Not Use the Door? (Eleazar)

It appeared that a thief had entered the premise, there was no other explanation. The young dancer knew that it happened in the city, but never had she had such misfortunate as to be present at a location while a break in was happening. Her luck seemed to be all rotten this day. Still, maybe she could slip away unnoticed and go hide until he was done looting the place. She wasn't going to be the one to stop him. All thoughts of moving faded from her mind when he dispatched of the locked closet.

Sophie gasped audibly when he forced the door with a single kick. Her sweet little place of work had been invaded by a powerful monster and she was going to die. Why did nothing ever go her way?

I'm too young and lovely and beautiful to die like this! Gods help me, please!

She was frozen in place, even though her mind was screaming at her to run. The brooms and mops had given her a chance to escape, but that opportunity quickly vanished. Any hopes to remain invisible to the intruder were lost when he turned to face her, just as shocked to see her as she was him. Her brown eyes widened as much as they could as she stumbled out into the opening as he addressed her.

He. Addressed. Her.

A squeak came from her lips as she stood there before him, the thinnest of silky garments all that separated his vision and her flesh. Her hands slowly inched up the front of her, coming to rest just in front of her face. Her arms visibly shook as she processed his question, unable to decide what to do. So instead of think, she just acted.

Sophie's high pitched scream pierced the uncomfortable silence between whore and thief. Turning where she stood, the dancer took off back down the hallway, her red silky robe flying up behind her as she disappeared around the bend. Her scream ended as quickly as it began, replaced instead by heavy panting and the pitter patter of her bare feet against the floor. Slender, pale arms pumped through the air as she rushed to put as much distance between her and the burglar as she could. The soles of her feet kicked up behind her as she ran for the sake of running, because gods knew the poor girl had no idea where she was going.

"Help. HELP HELP HELP!" She called out, hoping someone, anyone would hear her. Even if it was another ne're-do-well, at least then they could duke it out over her and she could slip off into the darkness.

If only she were actually in shape. It turned out that it was one thing to dance, another thing to petch, and a whole different beast to run for your life. Bursting out into the main area, the young woman stumbled over a chair and crashed into, and over a table before settling to a nice stop on the floor. Another squeak coincided with her impact, a moan of pain momentarily filling the air before she clamped her hands over her mouth to silence herself. She remained there, humiliated and afraid, hoping that the man would leave her be and miss her in the dimly lit room, just as she'd missed the very large table in her haste.

They both stood there frozen for a brief second, before the woman took off screaming. Well shyke! Being the idiot he was Eleazar gave chase. Even though he had the advantage of years of running from angry, the harlot knew the building better so for even unexpected turn that happened she was able to gain distance from him. It didn't help at all that he could barely see more than a few strides in front of him in this petching darkness. Once again the prostitute cried out for help, but the thief knew the building was empty bar them. It had been the reason he hadn't bothered to be stealthy about breaking in.

“Hey! Wait up!”

His cries went unanswered as she disappeared from his vision in to a darker blackness. A few loud crashes followed. Darting in after her the teen crashed head first over an unturned chair, promptly diving nose first into the carpeted floor of the Sanctum. Pushing up, Eleazar rocked back onto his knees on the floor, clutching his nose. Ouch. Now where did she g- to his left a moan of pain escaped the woman he had been chasing. Whipping his head around he was only met with darkness. Shyke, why the petch did it have to be so dark.

Slowly standing up, he edged over to his left, keeping his steps as light as possible to conceal his whereabouts. Left foot then right the left again. The floor board under the carpet gave a loud creak as he put down his right foot for the second time. Cringing Eleazar strained his ears for any other sound in the room beyond his own loud breathing. Nothing. Only his own loud rasping. Well bother.
The teen was pretty sure she was still in the room, sighing he took another light step forward only to have his stomach crash into the edge of a table. Winded the eighteen year old gave up and lent forward, resting the side of his face on the table top. This wasn't getting him anywhere.

“Er..... 'Ello?.......Um.. Pretty Lady?.Are ya alright? Where ever ya are..... I 'ink we may 'ave 'ad a bit of a misunderstandin'.....”

The room gave no reply to his voice. Sighing the teen exited the room. No point stumbling around in the dark for someone who didn't want to be found. If the pleasure house ran at night they would have some sort of candle or light source, or at least that was his logic behind stumbling blindly around the corridor. Keeping one hand fixed on the wall, Eleazar took bold strides forward through the blackness for a few chimes until the wall disappeared into an open doorway.

Ducking into the room, he began to trip over various pieces of furniture in his search for a light source. The place stank of perfume and bodily fluid, must be one of the 'work' rooms he thought as the thief sticky fingers finally located a full candle holder and set of matchsticks on top of a surface. It took six tries and two broken match sticks to spark a flame, and took even longer to light the dull wick of the wax stick.

Now with a source of light, the thief could finally make out his surrounds. Deep purples and reds decorated the room with a 'used' bed resting in the corner. There was a few stools here and there but nothing else in the way of furniture, except the table where he had found the candle. The riches wouldn't be in rooms like this. Ruby was far from stupid enough to leave them lying around. Petch. Is only he had someone who kne- The girl.

Quickly grabbing one of the used blankets, he stormed back to the room where the harlot had been. Coming to a stop in the door frame, Candle burning in one hand illuminating hald his face, blanket in the other, He called out into the darkness.

“Mi Lady? Could ya assist me wi' somethin'? I promise not to 'urt ya or do anything bad. And I brought a blanket for you, just thought ya might be cold, with not much on 'n' all.... Mi lady?”

[Scarlet Sanctum] Why Not Use the Door? (Eleazar)

She tried to stay quiet, she really had, but her whimpering was uncontrollable. This wasn’t supposed to be happening to her, so it’s not like anyone could blame her. This man was going to catch her, and he was going to…going to..

Why is he chasing me?

She thought about asking him, stupid as that may have been, but then it appeared that he’d joined her on the ground, a loud crash and thud echoing throughout the otherwise serene room. She let out a sudden gasp in reaction, quickly slapping her hand over her mouth to try and silence herself. The room was far too silently for her tastes.

Wide eyed, Sophie lay sprawled cross the ground, one hand over her mouth, the other nervously running its way through her in an attempt to soothe her nerves. Those nerves were shot, however, and she nearly jumped out of her knickers when the floorboard creaked nearby.

He was coming to claim her and there was no other way about it. Sophie willed herself to be completely quiet to the point that she held her breath, refusing to betray her position to the Sanctum's invader. He would have to trip over her or procure a light in order to locate her.

Once again, complete calm fell over the main floor as thief and harlot played a rather impromptu game of hide-and-seek. She was doing everything she could to make herself invisible, and he seemed rather intent on locating the singular witness to his incursion. When the table she'd flown over a chime before screeched along the wooden floor, it took every ounce of her self control not to let out another shriek. When he spoke, she opened her mouth to do just that, but her voice failed her and she just laid upon the ground, eyes slammed shut and her mouth wide open. She was doomed, at least until she wasn't.

His footsteps grew softer as he walked away from  her, and then just like that, he was gone.

...He's gone?

Sophitia cautiously reached up to the edge of the table, pulling herself up to her knees before cautiously peeking her eyes over the wooden top, listening for any clue as to the whereabouts of the stranger, and it was then that her mind began to play tricks on her.

What was that? What touched me? Is that me breathing or him? What if he brought friends? I don't know what I'm supposed to do!! Oh, gods, what was that sound? This isn't fair, this isn't fair, this isn't fair!

Sophie slowly rose to her feet as she lamented her situation, leaning over on the table as she yelled at herself internally, struggling mightily to assess the situation. Worst of all, the young woman was foolishly not taking advantage of the situation to escape the building. She had more than enough time to make her way out and wash her hands of the thief. Instead she wallowed in self-pity until the flickering of candlelight brought her back to reality.

When the burglar re-entered the main floor, candle in hand, Sophie was sprawled out over the table, doe-eyed and staring at him. A blank face met his calls, one unconvinced by his words. Yet she was trapped, and as such, a sheepish smile grew on her face, one birthed from fear and uncertainty.

"...Hello," she said in a barely audible whisper. She wanted to run -no, she wanted to break down and cry- but she couldn't find the strength to move. When her eyes fell upon him, all her strength vanished, leaving the young dancer leaning on the table for support. "Please don't come closer," she requested, pushing her palms against the surface of the table to keep her upright.

"I can scream louder, I promise."

[Scarlet Sanctum] Why Not Use the Door? (Eleazar)

Postby Eleazar Victor Syroin on January 27th, 2014, 11:49 pm

"...Hello, Please don't come closer, I can scream louder, I promise."

The sudden voice out of the still blackness, caused the normal reaction from the burgular given the situation. Which was leap away from the noise letting out an very 'manly' high pitch squeal, looking about as intimidating as a frightened duckling. Okay so he had found her great. Now to stop jumping around with a lit candle in his hand like an idiot, least he burn down the place before he could properly rob it. It seemed this was going to be a long dark morning.

Slowly huffing in deep breathes to calm his fraying nerves, the thief lofted the candle so the light illuminated where the girl was, Eleazar had never been a fan of playing games in the dark. As it did so, the teen's mind stopped. Gazing back at him through the gloom was a short haired brunette with wide dark eyes, dressed in very little, sprawled over a solid wood table. Petching shyke, she is gorgeous too and that was just going to make things even more complicated. Not only did he have to find the jewels but he was now fighting his own emotions along with his already numerous issues.

Without realizing it, the thief stood there for a chime or two completely lost in thought. His face masked in shock staring at the young woman as his right hand curled up against his lips stroking his stubble softly. This wasn't the best choice of actions as, with the blanket still held in that hand, it appeared as though he was partly cuddling the blanket and at same time trying to use it to shield off the woman. Unfortunately he grossly failed to notice this fact, only snapping out of his thoughts when he realized he was staring,.

Waving his hand down from his face with a polite “As you wish, mi lady.” directed towards the harlot in question, his train of thought resumed. Petch, Oh petch, Oh mother of petching shyke. What did he do now? The woman was terrified, which was plain to see from anyone with eyes and alerting her to the fact she was alone in the building would only cause her to freak out more. Um, think Eleazar, think. How to go about this.

Throwing forward the arm holding the blanket, the thief's face became more and more pink tinted with each passing tick the woman stood before him. Turning his head away from her whilst being careful to not burn anything with the candle, he began to blurt out a long timid string of words.

“I-It's cold tonight. So I.....I would advise you cover yourself appropiately, mi lady......'En we could talk 'is o'er, so nobody gets 'urt ...o-or loses 'is 'and or gets kicked out of 'is apartment cause 'e couldn't pay 'is rent..... O-or some'in' like 'at......Err.....Um. ”

Eleazar's body was shaking now. Quaking in his very boots, this was when he was most vunerable to her and Eleazar knew it. He petching knew it. The walls of the room seemed to warp towards him as his internal panic began to escalate, just waiting, waiting for her little voice to show up. But it didn't. She never came when he expected it. Never. In some ways in was a blessing. But it didn't stop his face showing clearly how close to shyking himself.

Pools of tears bubbled up in his corners, good thing he wasn't facing the prostitue. He never could forgive himself for acting like this over something that wasn't even real! It okay, everything is going to be okay. Breathing hitching, the teen allowed his head to swivel around to see where the woman was again and whether or not she was going to take the blanket from his outstretched arm.

OOCFor more information on what Eleazar is freaking out about see his plot notes in particular the bit about 'Eleanor'. :) Also Sorry for such a quick reply but I'm really enjoying threading with you, the moment I read your reply my fingers were off typing before I could stop them. Sorry this really isn't all that fair since you only just finished writing your last reply. :D

[Scarlet Sanctum] Why Not Use the Door? (Eleazar)

She wasn’t sure what to do when the man just froze in place before her, like her acknowledging him had thrown off his entire plan, if he had one at all. Sophie was sorely lacking in the area of preparation, and sorely regretted having shown her hiding place to the intruder. The rather . . womanly . . squeal had done him no favors in his intimidating factor, though. Her legs were still refusing to cooperate, however, so she made no move to try and escape – as long as he didn’t make any sudden moves towards her.

As the light crept towards her, exposing her figure to the young thief, she turned her head slightly to the side as she wished to avoid looking him directly in the eyes. He seemed to have no issue drinking her up, though, as her sideways glance at him revealed a gaze she was all too accustomed to seeing. She couldn’t identify it though, whether it was one of lust and desire, or that of wonderment. Regardless, he was an awkward fellow. Young, coming into his own with splotchy facial hair befitting his age. He was handsome enough, and if he’d arrived during normal hours, rather than breaking into the building, she might have found her way to offering him her services for the night. Instead he was being awkward as petch, falling silent for a good chime after she spoke.

When he did finally speak, it was meek, if polite.

When he offered her a blanket once more, stuttering, stammering, and tripping over each syllable, it was then that Sophie realized that he was just a thief, and nothing more. Not one looking for conflict, not a thug, and certainly not a predator.

If he didn’t wish to be such, maybe she could. Sophie knew she couldn’t just stand there and see what happened.

Mustering up her confidence, Sophie decided that she would be the predator now.

”You’re too sweet,” she said, turning to look at him more straight on while catching her bottom lip in her teeth. The supple, pink lips engorged and turned red under the pressure, returning quickly to normal when they escaped from the playful bite. With a modicum of courage, the girl made her way around the table, momentary hesitations in her expression hopefully hidden by the dim lighting. Her body was long and lean, and every inch of it was accentuated as she swayed her hips in her approach to the teenage. ”Wanting to protect me from the cold? But, most men want to see as little clothing on me as possible..” Sophitia shrugged her left shoulder as she spoke, letting it fall and expose and leave that shoulder bare while at the same time wrapping her arms around her chest to prevent him from actually seeing anything. ”…Ooops,” she said, feigning embarrassment. She would defeat this uncomfortable intruder with her body.

”If you was looking for someone to talk to, love, you should have just come to the front door. I’d have kept them open another chime or two for you.” She quickly licked her lips, moistening them to give them the slightest of sheen in the flickering candlelight. ”I much prefer the warmth of a body, to that of a blanket, after all.”

[Scarlet Sanctum] Why Not Use the Door? (Eleazar)

Postby Eleazar Victor Syroin on February 5th, 2014, 7:41 pm

All worries of losing his sense of reality, disappeared from the thief's mind the instant he saw what the harlot was doing. Shimmying out from behind the table, the barely clothed woman called out to him sweetly. The candle light glided over her figure left very little to the imagination, the curve of her hips leading down to her long milky legs pecking out were on show for anyone watching to see. A playful bite of her bottom lips and the deliberate reveal of a pale shoulder, were only met with a look of desire on Eleazar's part.

Darn, petching darn it all. He had never had to deal with stuff like this before. Where were the pig faced market guards and angry foreigners chasing him about like always? How was he supposed to deal with a female, this female, making eyes at him and waggling her hips like that?! A couple of chimes she was terrified of him and now this! The teen was at a complete lose of what to do, as the lady of the night, slipped out sexual suggestion one after the other. Each passing tick made it harder to resist the notion of just straight up taking the woman as his own right there an then.

It was the subtle lick of her lips that did it in the end, the load that broken the labourer’s back. The moment the harlot allowed that pink muscle to dart out over her lips, the thief moved. Closing the distance quickly, the blanket bearing arm snaked around her waist pulling her body into his. Due to his height he easily loomed over her frame. Craning his face down into her soft short hair, the thief brought the other arm around, taking extra care to point the dancing candle flame away from her body.

Breathing deep and slow as her being invade his senses, Eleazar didn't dare move. When was the last time someone had let them hold him? To just hold them, hug them, not have them throw him away like the filthy useless street rat he was constantly being told he was. He couldn't remember. Inhaling deeply he smiled at the sweet smell of perfume lingering in her hair, the scent was similar to one of the exotic fruits Eleazar had once managed to steal. Ripe colourful and juicy, it had been a shame when the stall owner didn't return the following season. Yet here was the very same scent intoxicating him with each breathe he took. Next time he had enough money to spare he might just come here and pay the girl to just let him hold her the entire night.

Eventually he pulled his head away from the embrace, heart beating slower than before and mind cleared of fearful thoughts. Staring down at the female in his arms the teen silently opened out the blanket behind the dark haired beauty and draped it over her shoulders, once again being wary of the hot burning wax held in his hand. He actually felt calm with her, calm and safe. How did she do that? How did she....? His free hand suddenly came up to grip her jaw tightly, his breathes mingling with hers as he leaned in once again. The burglar’s rough chapped lips stopping just short of touching hers, ghostly pale green orbs flickering to lock with the harlot's own bright brown eyes.

Back off slightly from her slightly, the tight grip on her jaw changed to simple cupping one side her face with the teen's thumb rubbing slow circles into the skin around her check bone. Tilting his head out of instinct, the thief spoke calmly in a deep vibrating voice that didn't quite fit the man she had seen being scared out of his mind.

“What's ya name, mi lady?”

OOCFeel free to beat up Elea if he gets too creepy. :D

[Scarlet Sanctum] Why Not Use the Door? (Eleazar)

It seemed to be working. Sophie would have jumped up and down with glee in celebration if it wouldn't have undone all of her hard work. The intruder was on his heels for a moment, and for that very precious moment she thought she would get away. Every look she shot him, every seductive teasing move seemed to turn the tables. The gods had smiled upon her and they would let her go, live to see another day.

How wrong she was.

A squeak escaped her lips when he darted forward, enveloping her in his arms. She didn't know what to do, so she simply stood there, rigid and not moving in hold.

Is he going to take me where we stand?

It seemed the logical step, minus that candle, of course. Yet, instead of doing anything brash, wicked, or evil, he just stood there, as though he was just enjoying their contact. Both of them remained frozen in place as Sophie just counted the ticks passing by in her mind. It surely wouldn't be like this forever. He couldn't just stand there and murder her with anticipation. No, he had to act. Not that she was going to try and force his hand again. That was the kind of action that had got her in this horrible situation as it were.

When he released her to put the blanket around her shoulders, she didn't move, big brown eyes wide with fear and trepidation. He was too close for her to run again, and her legs were incredibly sore from her tussle with the table and ground a few chimes before. He had her trapped, but for some reason he treated her like some fragile thing that needed to be protected.

At least until he grasped her face like a dog trainer inspecting their animal's teeth. Her own jaw tightened at his rough touch, and she tried to turn away, an attempt that was thwarted by his tight grip. When he moved his lips closer to hers, she sighed, defeated, and closed her eyes to accept her fate. This man was ready to have her.

But it never happened.

His breathe teased her lips, but never did they cross into touching. A once brutish grasp became gentle, caressing. It almost made her feel more sick than the beast like lust she'd viewed moments before.

"I'm...," she began, pausing for a tick to contemplating giving him a fake name.

No, he knows I work here. That won't do me any good...

"You can call me Sophie," she managed, smiling weakly, her usual high pitched, cheerful voice dull and weak from their entire encounter. "What do you want from me? From Ruby's?" Even if he wouldn't let her turn her head from him, the young dancer refused to look him in the eyes, letting her gaze drift down towards the ground.

It wasn't fair. She shouldn't have even been here. He shouldn't have broken in. And that bastard should have given her a tip!

It was all too much for Sophitia, and a sob came forth from her painted lips.

"I just want to go home."

oocSo sorry for the delay! Let me know if you need me to give you more to work with! :)

[Scarlet Sanctum] Why Not Use the Door? (Eleazar)

Postby Eleazar Victor Syroin on March 8th, 2014, 10:04 am

Hesitantly with a weak smile painted on her lips the woman addressed her self as 'Sophie'. Sophie. Sophie. Sophie. He let the name roll around in his head, silently easing his tongue over the word. It sounded a bit young and innocent for a harlot, but the more he rolled it over, the more is fit nicely to the female's face.

"What do you want from me? From Ruby's?"

Even though the words sounded firm, Sophie refused to meet his eye. Brow crinkling into a look of concern, his thumb rubbed soft spiral into the delicate skin of her cheek. Beneath his touch her figure trembled, a choked sob escaped lips. Shyke. Don't cry.

“Shh~ Et's okay. Sophia, right? Ay promise to let ya go as soon as possible. We shouldn't 'ave met tonight, and we won't met again. I jist need ta know where Miss Ruby keeps 'ose jewels she's always throwing on 'er girls.'At's all 'en ay'll leave. Gone like smoke.”

The thief let his hand glide down, dropping away from her face to hang back by his side. He had petched up any chance at being close to the harlot. But if he disappeared again from the woman's life at least she would be happy. Better her than him. Reaffirming his grip on the candle stand, the teen coughed politely in to his grubby hand.

“Since you gave me ya name an all, Ay'm- ”

His lips moved to say 'Eleazar' but they didn't. Frozen before a single sound escaped them. He just couldn't lie to someone like her, someone who he felt safe around. Darn it all. Cursing himself, the eighteen year old slowly continued on introducing himself properly for the first time in years.

“Daniel, Danny if you want.”

When was the last time he had introduced himself like that? Probably haven't been since before his mother's death. Born as Daniel Woodrum, the thief was better known to most as Eleazar Victor Syroin. Bare faced lying to all he met and knew. It paid to be secretive and unknown, with no trace of where you may have come from stuck to your heel like a persistent piece of shyke. Anyway back to the reason of him being here.

“So about the location of those jewels, mi dear.”

OOCSorry it so short and that it took so long. RL got in the way. XC
