Osd walked into the warehouse after kreig was. The inside of it smelled like a mixture of old fish and seawater with some other filth thrown in for good measure. Crates were stacked man high and in combination with the shelves, going a lot further then the doors would be like navigating a maze. A thick layer of dust covered the entire thing. Osd brushed over one of the crates, grimacing at the thick layer of dust now coating his hand.
"The guy's who work here must a bunch of lazy bastards." He muttered to himself as he wiped his hand on his pants. 'Nothing like the old man, he would have my hide tanned if I let the forge become like this.'
He turned towards kreig. Trying to ignore the bundle of nerves in his stomach. he still remembered how easy the man before him knocked him out last time. Still he wasn't going to quake in his boots just because of fear. Cracking his knuckles, trying to come over more confident then eh felt and gave kreig a feral grin. "So how we going to do this?" |

Kreig chuckled at Osd's reaction to the dust as he shook his head "The reason its so messy dear boy is thats been quite abandoned for...petch maybe before I was born, I imagine" Although he did had to admit to himself as that it was probably an exagerration. HIs gauntlets were left at the blacksmith to see if the gent could fix it up better than his apprentice did whilst he honored his part of the agreement and see if he can help out the brat with gaining any skills for fighting.
The thing is, Kreig didn't quite know how to go about teaching it, at least not in the proper way. The way Kreig learned was by simply doing, but would it work for a lad like Osd? With Sunberth being what it was, it either produced the cautious, the manipulative or men like Kreig, who were fighters. Could he even teach him those skills? Would Osd learn by simply fighting?
There was only one way, in Kreig's mind, to find out as he looked at him with a wicked grin of his own "Oh, we're simply going to tumble lad. I'll go easy on, certainly I shall....but do expect quite the bruising as I shall not be gentle, that I will not" Kreig announced as he cracked his knuckles and looked at Osd with a wider grin "Better get ready lad..." Kreig took a step forward toward the lad ".....because things might get awry"

Osd let out an impressed whistle. “That old and it still hasn't fallen over? Might need to figure out who build this thing then. Might do a better job then whoever build the rest of sunberth.” 'petching shykehole it is.' He turned away from his surroundings and focused on the man again. When he mentioned going for a tumble again he paled a bit, vividly remembering how it ended up the last time. He wasn't gonna back down in front of kreig though.
'You're right it's gonna go awry. Awry for you that is!' he thought with defiance as he scrabbled a bit of dust and other crud of a nearby crate. He'll need every single dirty trick he knows to even stand a chance to stand up against kreig. The guy being older and more experienced in fighting in general. Still just because the odds were completely against him didn't mean he was going too give up and not try to win.
Dust in one hand he charged kreig throwing a sloppy punch at his lower torso. |

' He's learning already, and I didn't even need to raise a finger....yet' The lad was trying to be subtle about it, gathering all that dust and dirt as if he was cleaning up the place, thing is...when someone like Kreig who's been in enough fight to know these tricks, especially ones he himself had done to death and in turn done time, they have a tendency to spot these things. Still, for Osd such a basic trick was important, dust and durt stung the eyes after all and blinded one briefly as their lids close...even a veteran who can't turn away his face has to close his eyes and that forces a smaller oppening for anyone quick enough to abuse it.
But Kreig knew when it was coming as Osd threw that sloppy punch, having closed his eyes as he blocked the strike, when he threw that sand or punch Kreig would meet it full force with his own body and make sure the brat think more about what he can do, he needed to think up more tricks else Kreig might not be able to keep his promise to Osd's Boss, and Kreig would rather not drink hot lead.

Osd felt a moment of satisfaction seep through him as his punch hit the older man dead on. Only for it to be quickly replaced with a sinking feeling as the man didn't even budge an inch from his punch. 'The petch does he eat. Horseshoe nails?' he thought as he got threw the dust and sand towards the taller man's face. Hoping to get him of guard with that move. Though given how often he seemed to brawl that was about as plausible as finding a virgin hooker. Still at the moment it was the only shot he had. No sense in not taking it. Enough ammunition around for a second try if he could get his distance again anyway. The entire place was choked up with dust and grime.
Osd wasn't looking at the man's face anymore as soon as he had throw the sand at it. Instead opting for a crotch shot with his knee, putting everything he had behind it. It was a clumsy shot, but with the factor of surprise and with the dust being throw at his face. He might just get it past his guard. No matter how tough that guy was, getting your nuts cracked hurt like a bitch. Wither his nutshot hit or not. He tried to back off, putting some distance between him and kreig again. |

Sand in the face....that move was used so often by many fighter's, in fact Kreig had the habit of using it himself so often that was wondering if he could coin a name for it, unfortunately some of it had entered his eyes and his mouth ' PETCH' it was a nasty taste and a stinging sensation, it would have been intensified had Osd's knee strike actually connected but Kreig had unintentionally stepped back twice, letting Osd's blow miss harmlessly if dangerously close. Kreig rubbed his eyes and spat out the dust and rubbed his eyes, only managing to open one and even then his sight blurred slightly.
Still, there was that ferocious grin on Kreig's face "AH, YES....YOUR DOING JUST FINE" Kreig complimented the brat. Osd moved aways from the brawler, wise of him really as Kreig simply strut forward with the undeniably clear intent of beating him up "YES, JUST FINE"

Osd saw the feral grin on kreig's face and had to gulp. That expresion looked more at home on a wolf who just saw a nice little juicy lamb then on a human face. The compliment somehow sounded more like a promise of pain in his near future then a real compliment. Even worse, the brawler was getting closer to him fast and there was no way he wouldn't be eating the dust if he went up against him. Still luckely the man's vision still wasn't completely cleared. From the way he was rubbing his eyes.
“I'll shove that just fine up your arse!” osd yelled back. But it was obvious it was fake bluster. Time to fight as dirty as he could at the moment. He grabbed hold of a shelf. The wood was almost rotten away from time and the termites. A swift kick and a pull and it came crashing down in between him and kreig. Osd hoped that the bad vision, the bad lighting in the warehouse and the crashing shelf would disorient kreig a bit. Or at least pull his attention towards it. He wasn't hoping that the shelf would hit him. It was big, loud and easy to dodge from where kreig was.
Osd quickly dove in the maze of shelves and crates. Hoping to lose the bastard for a few moments as he was looking for anything that he could use as a weapon. Or an opportunity to surprise him. |

Kreig heard the crashing sound of the shelfe, his blurry vision directing itself to the spot of the wreckage. His eyes still stung him but some of his vision returned somewhat as he realized that the brat was nowhere near the wreckage ' Oh, a distraction....smart lad' Kreig looked around to see if there was any sight of the lad, part of him hoping he didn't decide to run out on the brawler, there would have been consequences for that and it wasn't Kreig that would be handing that out, that was for certain.
He moved down the maze of rotten shelves and crates in search of the lad, he didn't know if he was close or not, for all he knew the brat could be in the adjoining lane, it would have been deadly if Osd knew though... if this were a battle of life and death then he could easily push these crates and shelves on to Kreig and that would be the end of Educated Brawler.
'But it ain't a fight to the death....I hope'x

Osd stood still in between the rotting shelves and crates, pressed against them as he listened for a sign of kreig, or more importantly for where kreig was. He didn't hear much, just some shuffling and footsteps that sounded far off enough to be safe for a moment. He crept through the haphazard maze in search for an opportunity, doing his best to keep himself as silent as possible. His opportunity came soon, a long and still sturdy looking piece of wood was leaning against a nearby crate. A feral grin came over his face. 'Jackpot.' He thought as he grabbed and picked it up. Well tried to anyway, it didn't come loose from the crate. He leaned a bit closer and scowled as he saw the piece of wood wasn't leaning against the crate, but was a part of it, halfway broken off, but still hanging on. Well, it was the best weapon he had on hand. so he would have to risk it.
He put a foot on the crate, grabbed the piece of wood with both of his hands and gave it a yank with everything he got. The wood came lose with a loud creaking sound that resounded through the empty warehouse. "Petch." He automatically cursed afterwards, taking his piece of wood and trying to get as far away from the place he was last. Running straight into a few other shelves by accident from the nerves. Making even more noise. |
