Amaryllis nodded, sitting back once more, "I would expect no less... Keep the ring with you. Place it somewhere you may always see it, and let it remind you every tick what exactly you are working for." Looking down at the closed book on her desk the Embalmer slowly rotated the ring on her own finger, "Now go and choose a chamber to your liking, and provide me a list of materials you will require. I will have a mat delivered within the bell. After you have become situated, return here and we will begin the next phase of your preparations."

The Embalmer ran her hand over the bound leather cover, eyes intent and deep in thought. With a wave of her hand Annalisa was dismissed, and the Nuit would once more open the book to review the list of names inside.

OOCI thought about continuing the thread here, but honestly I think it would fit much nicer in a brand new thread ^.^. So feel free to post once more here and I will wrap things up, and we will move forward with the REAL preparations ^.^

Preparing for Things to Come (Annalisa)

Anna fixed her eyes upon the ring again, her grey eyes narrowing ever so as she gazed over it with increased interest and longing. She so desired to tear off her apprentice ring and place this silver one upon her hand, to actually possess some actual worth in the eyes of the Citadel. To be not just recognized as a skilled wizard, but to be seen as a player in this game. Not only would it make her more valuable to Amaryllis but it would allow for... other matters to be handled much easier.

Her original mission was still firmly in her mind, spread the glory of Rhysol by any and all means necessary, to become more in the eyes of her true Master. How she longed to look into those white eyes once more and not be afraid, but to be loyal and to know him for the anchor in her life. She wanted to hear his words of acceptance, even if they were lies she wanted to hear them and bask in his praise. She would do anything, sacrifice anything and anyone to have that happen. Celeste, Kouri, Felicia, Pandaemus, all stepping stones to her goals and all potential tools for her god. She might regret having to wrong Celeste, but she needed Rhysol more than she needed the girl. Anna had looked into the shell of what she was without him and his faith, she wouldn't go back to that.

She clutched the box and rose from her chair, inclining her head in her normal display off difference to the Embalmer. Oh, she would keep it close as she worked. Anna doubted she'd be getting much sleep in the coming nights, too much was at stake to let mortal weariness hold her back now. Her nights would be filled with nothing but Glyphed diagrams and combinations, drowning herself in work was her solution to this problem. Advanced scroll concepts, sophisticated triggers, they were all just waiting for her to use them.

As Anna walked out of the Chief Embalmers office she went over mentally exactly what she would need, parchment by the dozens, ink, inscribing paint, maybe swords and daggers, articles of clothing perhaps for personal warding constructs? Yes... a great deal of various items to test out a number of various designs.

Of course wards would need to be placed in the room, her chosen space needed to be up to the task of supporting them and possibly large spells. Amaryllis would likely appreciate the containment measures, wouldn't want the Palsa Hydrasa to be blown sky high. Speak of spells, reimancy constructs would need to be impressive...

Again her hand tightened as she gazed down at the ring, she was not going to fail politics be damned. She looked like a Wizard and she would show the Council that she was indeed a Wizard worthy of the title beyond a shred of doubt.

OOCCertainly! I wait with bated breath. :D
