PM to join Training Camp

Xi heads into the cold of the winter days to the training camp to practice his skills. Little does he realize what he'll end up doing.

Training Camp

Perfect.

The thought was short and simple as Ana too, took her own basic stance with her drawn shortsword. Spreading her cloak a bit, and then bringing her hidden free hand to be shown. Raising her blade hand and holding the hilt loosely, but at the same time firmly, tight enough just to keep the weapon from flying out of her grasp if she were to so throw it by accident. Peering out from under the hood, her eyes inspected her opponent carefully, gauging Nasrin, and what potential threats and moves she could make. From before in the perfume shop, Ana had taken note of the dagger from beforehand, but now that she could focus properly...

Well... Ana didn't like how it seemed to be double sided.

Grimacing, Ana wondered how well taught the Eypharian was with the dagger, and then took note of her own weaknesses- she was far from a superiour fighter. The only true skill she had to her name was her stealth, which she incorporated her sneaky step into her own fighting style (which wasn't much to begin with.) Ana's knees were slightly bent, not by much, but just so it would give her a better rhythem to her step- she would have to be quicker on her feet. She would have to avoid the four arms apart of the Eypharian, three free hands could do alot, compared to one occupyed hand with one free hand.

What if they came at her as well?

The question was- would Ana be able to multi-task like the Eypharian would be able to? How paranoid should she be of those extra hands? it could proove to be interesting, as well as tricky to just to let them sit useless, but where would the fun be in that? Ana mused to herself, swaying slowly from left to right, she had to contemplate where she was going- would she attack from the right, or the left? Would the Eypharian block, avoid, or attack? There were so many possibilitys to this, too many outcomes to consider, that Ana slowly found herself doubting in her own ability.

Not like it was great in the first place.

Whispers began to edge into her ears to attack, get close to that pretty gold skin and slice the hidden flesh to ribbons. Then perhaps steal the entire body itself, she was a thief- was she not? The whispers taunted slowly as her own djed was slowly being consumed in the attempts to keep the green skin from resurfacing, subconsciencely. It wasn't like Ana didn't want the Eypharians skin, but to go so far as to kill? The thought was.. It was... What the heck. Why not? She could simply dispose of the evidence later, Ana grinned lightly, and so she stepped forwards, thrusting her shortsword at the Eypharian woman.

It wasn't as if there were no others watching on.

Training Camp

slow breaths, Xi was starting to feel the strain across his back the pulling and releasing of arrows down range was grinding against his back and starting to chip away at his strength. Xi didn't let the slight strain show, instead choosing to keep himself an everything he was wearing cloaking and building his muscle as well as his cardio. He needed to increase his ability to operate in a lot of weighty equipment. A deep slow breath passed down through xi's nose and up flowing through deeply into his lings. He released his final arrow, it just skimming the mark to the right, Xi glared down range before slipping the bow back over his shoulder and stretching out his upper body muscles, he'd done some work on strengthening them but now they started to ache slightly. Pulling his arms part and open then sucked down another deep breath and held it before listening to the people around him.

ana and nas were going to have a fully bladed spar, this he'd have to keep an eye on to make sure no-body got hurt. Xi lifted his hands up before cracking his knuckles and then listened to zand say she wished to join him in the endurance training. To be honest he probably could have made some rather inappropriate joke however he chose to retain the higher ground.
"Well zand it's quite simple, get over all the obstetrical in front of us, its a cross between a simple foot race and a show of acrobatic skill. Try and keep up with me, the course is from here to the large tree roughly fifty yards from here. On your marks-" xi lowered his body in to a much more streamlined and easily able to vault over stuff and much faster position before he spoke the next words. get set...Go!" with that xi took off like a bullet down rage using his hands to help him stabalise himself as he vaulted over the meany dead tree stumps and old fallen los in his path and along his route towards the huge tree in the distance.

Training Camp

Zandelia swept her single eye across the terrain lazily, it was a child’s racing course to her gaze. She had spent seasons in Sunberth running missives from corner to corner of the rat infested warren with walls. She had climbed walls, jumped from roof to roof and killed others along her way – it was surprising how many wanted to filch Tua’s letters from her corpse. Not that they had ever succeeded, but she gave them credit for trying at least. Of course, she also left them dying in the mud and prey to the scavengers. She could not do everything though, she reasoned. She could, however, complete Ximal’s small course with relative ease. It gave her an idea for future development though and that was something at least.

A better, more complex course would be better equipped to push personal limits more efficiently. It will be seen to she told herself as she stretched her limbs slowly, feeling the tension ease from them slowly as she got the blood flowing easier.

“Go!” was all she heard him say, her mind concentrated upon her body more than her environment. She knew her limits, but she also knew that injury was easily done if not fully prepared.

She shook her head and sprang forwards quickly, her strides fluid and well timed, her feet not stamping into the ground but rolling across it as if she was possessed of the weight of a feather. It was not hard to learn, the art of running without hindrance of the ground. Many always considered the obstacles, as surely as Ximal was doing now, but few thought of the lost time to the very thing one ran upon. Knowing how to place one’s feet artfully saved many minutes in the real world, a fact she knew very well indeed. She flowed towards the first obstacle – a log upon its side and resting against a stump to create an awkward angle. She pushed at the ground with the balls of her feet, placing the heel of her hand upon the log’s surface as she did so, and brought her legs around and over. She hit the ground lightly and without breaking her pace overly much.

He should try doing that through market stalls! she chortled as memories forced a smile to her lips.

Her first obstacle vaulted she then came across a series of stumps in more muddied ground, her gaze observing the fact that it was sodden and her mind translating the information into the simplicity of ‘time lost’ quickly enough for her feet to react accordingly. The stumps were not far apart and it was easy enough for her to spring onto the top of the first and use her gathered momentum to leap to the next one to her right, spring to the one on her left and then forwards to the top of the last one before hitting the ground once more with a roll before carrying on with her running – the breath coming harder and deeper now as exertion began to become apparent.

As she padded forwards, her arms now pumping harder to increase her speed she noted that she was level with Ximal, his memories of course efficiency serving him well against her quicker and more agile frame. There were merely two obstacles left in her way now, both of them logs and requiring different approaches. The first was easy enough to ponder but harder to actually complete, her footing not perfect by a long way. She ran up the log, its form rising from the ground as she held her arms out for desperate balance. One foot in front of the other, hoping that her speed would save her from falling.

She was half right.

She slipped off the end with a skid rather than a graceful leap as she had hoped, but she was still on her feet even if she was slightly staggered now. Her last obstacle she decided to go under rather than over. She threw herself to the floor, absorbing the impact of her body with her forearms, and rolled under to touch the ankle of her boot to the finishing line – the tree.
