His voiced question made her think then she said carefully "Welcome? Not really...Zith are, well distrusted at best and least. If you listen to stories and rumors or general talk..." She smiled and trailed off then continued "but I do not listen to any of those" It was true, Fade wasn't given to prejudice, preferring to judge herself. She didn't look at appearances but inside, well most of the time: a zith was a sight to behold.

She pushed a lock of blonde almost white hair that had fallen infront of her face and said "So yes you can accompany me"
She thought about the Rearing Stallion and then looked at the Zith, she didn't think it would be a good idea: you never new who could be lurking in that place.

Maybe it would be better you should, thought the male, though his countenance gave away none of this thoughts, he just nodded, the mane of vermillion hair falling and washing over half of his face and over his wide shoulders. He drew in a big breath, chuckling in Zith tongue at her words, as if amused, and a little disappointed.

I think it's best to make one's own decisions...and to face one's own mistakes.. I wouldn't trade any of mine.

He said softly, a smile moving over his lips, watching as she moved her hair from her face.

Do you have any other suggestions besides my own?..Where do you like to go to have fun?

The male inquired, reaching into a pack he had with him on his back, removing a cigar and he went through the trouble to start a fire just to light it, crouching down on the ground and removing some stones from the bag. He hadn't really wanted to go to the Rearing Stallion, he was just trying to make it seem as though he was going somewhere here. He stretched his wings, and when he saw flames, he placed the end of the gar into it, taking a few big puffs. She must've traveled all over the place, being a part of the circus, unwilling or not. He wondered what it had been like. If she had been captive, unlikely she'd have had any opportunity to explore.

If you were granted three wishes what would you want?

He wondered if she'd been on her way home, if she had anyone that would miss her, though it seemed probably not. He wanted her to relax, get comfortable, make the small talk so they could properly get to know one another. Even he didn't like the idea of bringing a total stranger home. Although it would be against her will. He watched the flames grow, feeding it with limbs and brush that was around, as if mesmerized by the flame. A flask was removed from the bag, filled with strong drink and he sat back to bask in the warmth and drink. She hadn't seemed like she was in a very big hurry, and it didn't matter, anyway.

"I would go there, there or there" She gestured in turn to three alleys she shook her head "But no, I have no good suggestions"

Three wishes, the question took her by surprise so did his wing span and the cigar now being inhaled and of course the small fire he had started.
Three wishes...three wishes. The question ran around her head aimlessly for some time but she found that they came easy to her "Supposing you mean wishes for the present without altering the past I would wish for...One, to see Ash again. Two maybe meet my mother and three...having a place to go to."

Number two was pointless, whoever she had been she had left or died or...Fade shrugged slightly, of course it would be nice to know.
As for Ash she had no other words, he had been her only friend no matter their age difference. Teacher, friend and lifeline for a brief time in her childhood. He had taught her the foundations of magic and...well she had many doubts on who the supposed scullery boy had really been.
And the last well...she had no home now and nobody left:even her owner had died. She was well and truly, alone.

She suddenly came down to earth and asked rather promptly "And what about you. Three wishes...what would you choose?"

Ember laughed at her false suggestions, and shook his head. Very well, then, it seemed they were out of ideas.

One clawed hand was placed on the earth as the other fed the cigar to his lips. The aroma would be slightly different from a regular cigar, as this one had a little something extra. The male had gone through all the work because of his addictions.

You could've wished to alter the past...You know you could come sit beside me if you like...and talk awhile, since we can't seem to figure out where to go to..

He told her, wondering what her answers would've been then. Her answers were sort of sad, and sullen. He wondered who Ash was, and by the sound of it, it appeared she had never met her mother at all. And she had no home to go to. Good, he thought. He could at least help with that aspect. He frowned lightly, the hand cupping the earth moving to the flask and tilting its open mouth to his jaw.

Who's Ash? ....you have never 'met' your mother?.....What happened, uhm, if you don't mind my asking?

His deep toned words were tinged with sadness, or so it would sound. His parents may not have been very decent ones but at least he had known who they are and what they looked like. Ember couldn't imagine what it was like to have that gap, or hole in one's life.

Most Ziths don't mate for life but I would want one that I could look to as a friend as well. That would be my number one wish, best friend and lover all in one. Two, for money. And three, knowledge and skill at all kinds of magic. Would you happen to know anything about that?

It would be something if she did, the two things he had been questing in one person, a Nikali gnosis and skill in magic. He wished for a lover that could also help him manage his assets, if that would ever be possible. This individual would have to share his mindset, and he knew that was very unlikely, as Ember knew he was quite far from sane, even for the Zith, who couldn't be put into any 'classic' comparison for sanity because they were something all of their own.

I kind of wanted to place 'immortality' in my wishes.. Maybe that's not the right word. Invulnerability, maybe. I'm tired of losing those that I love. Always some tragedy or another, taking her away from me. Who wants to live forever anyway?..

She sat down like he had suggested, clutching her knees to her chest her back though remaining perfectly straight. The cigar smoke drifted past her, she wrinkled her nose slightly: it had a strange tinge to it.

What happened? She sighed inwardly. “Ash was…was…well, I don’t know who he was or his real age he looked like a teenager or a young man. Despite a huge age difference he would be my first and only friend for some time. He followed the circus working in the kitchen, he was brilliant with knives” She grinned “He also taught me the basics of glyphing and projection, mind you real basics.” Her mind ran away into a library of very well kept memories about Ash, he had always tested her memory and logic. In a second her mind was filled with what he had taught her. She chucked quietly to herself.
As for her mother she had almost no words “Well I must have been born so yes I must have met her but I don’t remember. My father didn’t speak much and least of all about her.”

She shrugged ever so slightly and then turned her attention to his wishes, they were a very classic choice of wishes: love money and knowledge.
“Who have you lost?” Fade asked after his comment about being tired of loosing the ones he loved. She smiled and continued “Only wizards want to live forever…” So, probably Ash would live long past her death if her suspicions were true.

Judging by the tint of sadness in his voice he had lost someone close. Fade had lost a few but none actually counted much to her, they were not her loved ones. Her father had been a father only in blood, he had been a mindless servant bound by big debts to her owner. And her owner had been nothing else.

Bad News Everybody. School is picking up, Exams are beginning to happen, homework is growing time consuming, I may soon be evicted from my apartment, I'm dealing with severe and physical fights among several of my best friends, and I can't seem to find a time to get much needed sleep. I'm terribly sorry, but don't expect to see much of me for a long while.
