"Thirty-four? Today? Well, happy birthday old man. Or not happy, if you wish to take it that way. Sounds like you don't have much luck on special days, McCenry." She finished off the rest of her mug and nodded to the 'cleaning boy'. The Kelvic tried to remember if she had paid for the drinks already, and decided that if she hadn't then the grouchy old lady beind the counter would stop her on her way out.

Even if Gale wasn't thanking her for the drinks she uttered a 'you're welcome'. At his request the girl twisted around in her seat and picked up the backpack, surprised by the weight.

As she handed the sack to McCenry, she shivered. Something told her to keep moving, to get out of Zeltiva and head north. What was north? The pull had returned, like someone had attached a line to her and was reeling her in. It would only be so long before she would have to give into it and travel again. The Kelvic had come to like Zeltiva in the short time she'd been there.

"Gale? Is a boat going to be heading north soon?" A boat would probably get her to where she needed to be faster than walking, even when she was travelling as a horse. The Syliran stood, but had to hold onto the counter. Her legs felt wobbly, and she took a few deep breaths. Getting out of the bar would be difficult.

Hurricane Drunk [Gale McCenry]

Postby Gale Austin McCenry on March 29th, 2014, 8:50 pm

"Thanks." He said again when she gave him his backpack. He placed it on the counter with a soft thud, opening the top and starting to check each item.

Sketchbook, check. Charcoal, check. What use to be an eating knife until he stabbed a dog with it, check. Flute, check. Music book, check. Bag of mizas, check. Bag of - wait- what the heck was that?

Gale's face contorted once against into that of extreme confusion. He pushed the books and supplies aside and pulled out the small brown bag, untying the lace around it by pulling one end of the string and opening it. "Oh, gross." Gale stuck out his tongue at the mold inside. How long have those chestnuts been there? "Dear Ssena, it's been a while." He hadn't had chestnuts since last Summer. Maybe even longer! Who knew!

The man attempted to tie it again so he could throw it out, taking both sides of the string in each hand. His right hand went around and tucked the string through, tightening it it quickly before the smell lingered into the Kelp Bar. After all, it was a very... interesting smell. Rotten chestnuts. Gale repeated the process to tie it off once more to create a knot. Last season Gale wouldn't have been able to tie said knot, but it wasn't all that hard to tie a simple knot with two fingers.

"Is there a trash here?" The blonde questions.

"No." The woman said gruffly.

"Okay then." Gale frowned at the bag. He supposed he'll just have to throw them out when he gets home. "Heck, I don't know. Why don't you go to the docks and see if there is any ships willing to have you?" After all, this is the season for ship to travel so ships would be coming and going all season. Maybe she would get lucky and find a ship that's docked.

"It was nice meeting you." Gale said, partially mumbled as he looked at Roane, closing his backpack after placing a couple of gold mizas on the counter and swinging the pack onto his back. "Thanks for the party." He teased, giving Roane a smirk over his shoulder.

With that, the sailor headed for the door, staggering the entire way. After all, having been drinking makes it rather difficult to walk. And that's not including having a limp. So Gale took his time walking out, trying not to fall over or bump into someone. Once he made it out of the Kelp Bar he should be fine.

Note-2 GM for 3 mugs of Kelp Beer. He let her keep the change. :P
