Vayl lightly stepped off the boat to the shore, a heavily clothed girl to his side. He had his own hood up and had an arm wrapped around her protectively. He was much taller than his companion, so although his arm held her by the shoulder, her haid was pressed against his ribcage.
Vayl's Lavender eyes paused on the ferry driver for a brief moment, there was no movement in his face or anything to betray emotion, but a brief flash of gratitude crossed over his eyes. Slowly turning to the left, he walked across the shoreline, still keeping his companion as close to him as possible. The girl seemed to cling back to him as well, as if she was unable to walk without assistance. Vayl knew that wasn't the case, but looking down at Redd it certainly looked like it.
Vayl glanced back over his shoulder. "Ok no one is around. We can talk." he pursed his lips as his gaze wondered over the shallow waves, enjoying the cool breeze. "Or if you'd prefer you can return to being a wolf." he suggested quietly, giving what he hoped would be a reassuring squeeze of comfort. x
